I think the key is, are you chasing sex or are you chasing validation? People who have a lot of sex because they like sex are usually happy with their choice, people who have a lot of sex because they think it will prove their worth ultimately come to find that it doesn't

Trust me, the entire sub didn't get banned because of the single post you shared That sub has been pumping out toxic nonsense for a while, and it caught up with them, that's all Love the username by the way... to the point lol

I really agree with that... men and women have differences, but redpill focuses way too much on the 5% gender difference and not enough on the 95% human commonality

I mean, you sure can disagree on it. It doesn't change reality, but we've all got our perception of reality Its a post about how mgtowers think women hit the wall at 30 and men do at 50; they sure think it matters and they spew a lot of toxic shit about it

Yeah, I think even the mgtowers agree on that 🤷‍♀️ human condition

Yeah, it's just not gendered the way mgtow acts. It's genetics and lifestyle factors that determine how you age, not gender

Agreed. I'm here because I feel like I can understand why someone would fall into red pill. There are nuggets of truth in the philosophy that get spun into toxicity, exactly like any other cult. If someone comes here and says, "I want to recover from this, but I'm having trouble understanding (some part of human nature or something I've experienced)" I want to be able to offer another perspective that helps someone come to a more sound and reasoned understanding of human relationships. I see a l…

I mean, men are attracted to youth, specific body attributes, and an air of chastity (despite being always ready any willing for sex.) We're all just lonely people who don't measure up to a standard we've been told we should aspire to. We're all trying to substitute physical, chemical attraction for real connection, because the connection is harder to find and takes time to build. It's easier to ask "are my tits big enough, is my dick big enough" than it is to go to another human being, show the…

This is an excellent take... the goal is a more nuanced understanding. Incorporate what you've learned, but swallowing the pill hook line and sinker is just another warped view

Agreed. Red pill acts like all women shit test... in real life, some people do shit test their partners, but it's not really gendered and it's fucking shitty. Overwhelmingly, though, I think most people just genuinely have their panties in a twist about weird shit. I saw a post on AITA a day or two ago about a guy throwing away his girlfriends tampons and being really upset that she used them. I don't think he was shit testing her... I think the guy had a weird complex that was (understandably) …

I was in a frankly abusive relationship as a teen, he was really into redpill stuff. I bought into it as a coping mechanism to try and make sense of the world I was in. It's been several years and I'm horrified at myself.

Seems to me like red pill kickstarted your understanding that you were in an emotionally abusive friendship... if I were you, though, I wouldn't cling to it just because it helped you out of a tough spot. It can be a stepping stone, that you use and discard. And just as a side note... you said it "wasn't your brightest moment," believing that the way she treated you was normal. That wasn't lack of smarts on your part, that was a concentrated campaign of manipulation on her part. I'm really sorry…

Connection and intimacy are the reason. I'm female, and I'll admit to you that I usually get a stronger orgasm out of a vibrator than a partner. However, I don't get the feeling of exposing myself entirely and being accepted. I don't get the feeling of hands on my hips, in my hair. I don't get the feeling of my hands on their shoulders. I don't get the scent of another human being or that magical moment when you look them in the eyes while they come. When it's right, it can be really special.

Yep, like I don't want to stereotype but a lot of women spend a lot of time getting the perfect selfie... last time I was on a dating site every dude was either A) t-shirt, short hair, hiking selfie B) jacket, sunglasses, car selfie Meanwhile the women I matched with had every hair color under the sun, makeup, full body pics with striking outfits, etc

I mean, you're right. It's easier for a woman to have casual sex than a man. The problem is you're looking at sex as a power game that men lose by not getting laid, and women lose by getting laid. It's the fundamental flaw at the heart of redpill philosophy. For a person having sex because they like connection, novelty, and sexual pleasure, there is no power won or lost. Anybody in polyamory will tell you that women have an easier time finding casual partners; but that doesn't mean they chose an…

Honestly, this probably sounds rude, but I sometimes think they obsess over whatever random trait because they don't have it and they don't want to think about it. Like "women don't like me because my toes are short, not because I'm visibly desperate and angry around them!!" It makes a nice excuse, and the more ridiculous it is and the more "set in stone biological reality" they act like it is, the easier it is so avoid looking at themselves.

Yeah, millennial relationships typically can't afford to have a partner stay home. Even with kids, most millennial parents I've seen have a family member like one of their mothers who stays home with them

I'm a woman, but this rings very true to me. It actually kind of felt like a hack when I discovered this. One quick trick to make a man love you, doctors hate her: gently run your fingers along his back while he's watching a movie without him having to ask

No kidding. The OP seemed like an honest entreaty to understand women better, but the comment you're responding to is a hot injection of misogyny and resentment 😬

Nah, you got it, he didn't love me. It was 10 years ago now, it doesn't sting anymore and is also incredibly obvious in retrospect. It hurt a lot at the time because I desperately wanted him (or anyone really lol) to love me, and he knew that and used it to his advantage. Again, I really do tie that back to redpill. I believe it teaches you to approach relationships as material gain, not as human connection.

I really disagree. We all have urges; we all wanna fuck, but there is no biological imperative to lie and take advantage of people. Stay single and sleep with people casually, or only engage in polyamorous relationships if monogamy doesn't work for you. I completely understand and respect people who make those choices. I do agree that it's a matter of morals. Some people do cheat just because they want sex and theyll lie to get it or because they like to have a secret, or for whatever other reas…

Oh no, he could have suppressed his urges. He's a grown man, he made choices. That's what's funny about it-- if the genders were reversed, red pill would call his behavior "monkey-branching." He wasn't cheating to cheat, he was cheating to find another girlfriend. He only got laid a few times, but he was constantly entertaining long term emotional affairs. A couple times he broke up with me to pursue someone else and eventually came back. I believe that's what's at the heart of red pill: women a…

It sucks. :) Joking aside, my high school boyfriend was redpilled. He cheated on me a bunch... needed to prove to himself that he could get the girl. Very wrapped up in his own head and insecurities about it.

Honestly, I don't think this is a biological difference in desire so much as adhering to socialized roles. Men chase, women choose. Of course we're all more evolved than that, but it's hard to break out of those socialized roles. As a woman, I feel desperate any time I pursue a man, even though I know I shouldn't feel that way... so I've found it easier to just sit back and choose from the men who approach me. It's not a great dynamic, but it's the familiar one we're all used to an expecting. Th…

It's the same as anything-- it's not sex as sex that gets adulation, it's sex as power. We don't really care that a certain musician is having really satisfying and connected sex, we care that he has lots of sex; he can get any girl. We care that he can get any car and get into any party. It's all about that "I'm so powerful I can do anything I want" lifestyle. That's why redpill isn't about finding a partner, it's about having as much sex as possible with any many women as possible, especially …

There's so much misogyny in the world... sometimes when people critique the way women are socialized and talk about the harm women's roles can have on men, I have this knee-jerk reaction of "I'm defending myself against sexism"! When I hear about the discussion you're talking about, I think "oh fuck, so WOMEN are actually responsible for toxic masculinity, huh?" Of course, there's so much more to the discussion than that, and that reaction can be so harmful. For men who've been victimized, it se…

I think all of us want sex and romance and physical affection, to different degrees. A stranger on the internet can only do so much. It sounds like you have a lot of friends who care about you and want to see things go better for you... and they see you in real life, and know you better than I'm ever going to. Therapy takes time, it can take a while to find the right person (and maybe that person is a man!), and you get out of it what you put in. You gotta go in, be radically honest, be open to …

Well, there's a reason I'm talking about theory on the internet, not having sex. :) When I describe my compassion, I'm not saying "red pill men are hurt, they should be babied and cared for and fucked without any self-analysis." I'm saying, "if you come here feeling like women are monsters who deserve to be used... but there's are part of you that doesn't want to believe that, there's a part of you that wants to believe the human race is better than that, I'll take the time to explain why I thin…

The internet told me redpillers and incels were hateful, entitled misogynistic. I went on redpill a d incel forums and found a bunch of lonely young men who had been told by the world they weren't good enough for love, that if they just changed everything about themselves they might be worthy, who reacted with the entire spectrum of human emotion-- defeat, anger, sadness, insecurity. It makes me sad. I also know what it feels like to be told by the world that you're not good enough. For those pe…

Based on the shitty stereotype that European women, especially from poorer countries, will be more submissive. The idea is that western women have been more exposed to feminism and women's liberation and so they are less likely to play a traditional role in their relationships. Super creepy stuff.

It's only creepy if you're trying to fuck 'em. I'm in plenty of mixed-age, mixed-gender social groups. The only guys who get labeled creeps in my groups are the ones who are trying to get all up in much younger women's dms, starting sexual or borderline-sexual conversations, offering massages or being very touchy, etc. Standard creep stuff. Go out, have fun, keep the flirting for age-appropriate women and you'll be fine!

Agreed! Like, there are roughly the same amount of men in the world as women, so how is this perception that women get tons of attention and men get none coming about? If no men are getting dates, who are the women sorting through? Firstly, if we're talking just hookups, there are a lot more men who want casual no-strings sex than women. The world is changing, women enjoy sex, but that's still just a fact. However, if we're talking genuine dating... I think it's two things. Firstly, its another …

When I say confident, I'm not really talking about that "getting a first date display of confidence". I'm more talking about the confidence to talk about your needs and feelings in a relationship, the confidence that you'll be okay if a romantic situation doesn't work out, the confidence to share a relationship while maintaining a healthy degree of independence... All that shit that just takes time to learn, so a lot of young men and women aren't there yet. No amount of perky titty or regular se…

Yeah, women in their younger years have perkier tits and men are ready for sex more often. There are benefits to youth, for sure. But men and women in their 30s are typically more mature and confident, understand themselves and their goals better, and have made some mistakes and no longer get themselves into that pointless early-20s drama. As a woman approaching 30, considering a partner and someone to live with, being able to have sex 3x a day just isn't my priority at this point. However, some…

, I rarely find people suggesting that someone should cultivate their empathy or agreeableness. Oh, but they do recommend doing this to find a partner... if you're a woman. What you're describing is the impact of patriarchy. It's the system that says women need to be agreeable and easy to manage, but it's also the system that says men need to be confrontational and commanding. It's shitty and reductive for everyone. Are some women attracted to really stereotypically masculine men, even to the po…

Forever is a long time; monogamy is a social construct. It's one that I value and choose to respect, but I don't think it's reasonable to expect a person to not experience attraction in the context of a long term relationship. You just don't control your feelings; you control your actions. That's why monogamy can be so powerful and meaningful: it's saying "I've got the world at my fingers, and every day I wake up and choose you."

Can I ask you something? So, obviously, Megan Fox is a stunning woman. Feel free to replace her name with your hot celebrity woman of choice. Now, think about a girl you know you had a crush on. She's cute, right? But.... She's not Megan Fox, is she? Does that mean you can't be attracted to her? Does that mean if you dated her, she would always be your second choice? Romance isn't a marketplace, and people are more than a collection of parts. If you can see women as more than the size of their t…

If I'm into someone and they text only for logistics, I'm going to assume they're not that into me and Im going to move on. I'm looking for a partner who makes me feel special, not one who makes me feel awkward for texting him how his day went. When I was a young woman, insecure and a little desperate, that kind of thing would totally keep me on the hook.... But it's totally one of those things that people call "playing games" and the older I get, the less time I have for that. If you're into so…
