Here, it's literally the LAW that every state agency that offers you a service uses your SSN to track you for support obligations. You're also talking like living without an SSN is a feasible option. Some guys have actually rescinded their SSN to avoid CS, which works, as their paperwork requires a SSN according to title IV-D. Living without an SSN is no small feat, however. You can't open a bank account, get a DL, rent, or gain valid employment.

Lol, your social security number DOES track you for child support. Child support falls under title IV-D of the SOCIAL SECURITY ACT. Go to the FAQ of any DMV regarding getting a driver's license and you'll see the question "Why do I need to give my social security number?", and the answer will be "To track child support". Ask any state agency why your SSN is required for everything. You have 0 clue what you're talking about.

I looked into this. Apparently in some island nations you can buy citizenship, but it's REALLY expensive. It would be feasible for any REALLY determined person at 50-75 grand, but for now it's definitely a rich man's game.

Not quite accurate. The system exists to fund the state, see Blessing vs Freestone. The federal government gives kickbacks in the form of grants to states for being heavy handed with CS debt. My state made 57,000,000 in grants last year. This is all under Title IV-D of the social security act, which is actually where the money comes from. Absolutely. In Texas there is Eryk's Law, which came about due to a mother executing her son after she had been found to have manipulated him to believe terrible things about his father and she was forced to hand custody over to the father. The mother was some renowned child psychologist who wrote academic books related to her work. She brainwashed the child to the point that he thought his father was the devil.

Yeah, unfortunately that's the reality we face everyday. Even if we aren't in conflict, things could still happen with false allegations. Though this may sound counter to the point, at least in my case, she understands that if I end up in jail or lose my job, we'll lose the house and she'll be homeless and hungry. She really wouldn't have anywhere to go. No job experience or family that would take her in. She understands this.

Family court judges are some of the most vile people on earth. Typically there are no transcripts or video of proceedings and there's no jury. The judges make their calls in personal feelings. There is no incentive to act right as judges has immunity to litigation. I wish you the best of luck.

There was a divorce attorney in Oklahoma who was arrested for banging the children of the women he'd represent. Like, child support ended up being way more important than protecting their 5 year old daughters, I guess. Mothers aren't always the right choice for custody.
