LEGALLY speaking raping someone after beating the shit out of them is way worse. Let's say you first break someones legs and then rape them? Broken legs heal, right? Not every case of rape is the same, they're all horrible and terribly traumatizing for the victim, but some are way worse than others. So naturally not every case of rape will get the same sentence.
