No, in order to make Texas toast you have to stand right outside the kitchen and do nothing while the toast burns. If anybody tries to enter the kitchen to save the toast cut that bullshit right off.

I saw someone like this in my complex complaining that the guys (who if they even bothered to look them in the eye once in a while would notice they'd all been pulling extra shifts) why they weren't shoveling like crazy during the storm.
