3	Men are not monsters: Last week three of my four boys were herded into school-sponsored assemblies and asked to stand, raise their hands and pledge to never, ever hurt a woman. Their female classmates weren’t required to make a similar pledge. That's bull in so many ways. When I was growing up, forty years ago, women burned their bra's and claimed their independence. At that time you would get ripped on for holding a door open, so as much as I believed it then, I do now.
