At this point I don't even think you understand what you're arguing against. Police act differently depending on the circumstances. That is all I've ever said. According to you, that is "idealistic nonsense", that is not based in reality, and it's something that apparently needs to be proved to you. I'm not sure how you think I'm wrong.

Why would I care about being downvoted? Sweeping generalizations based on anecdotal evidence are things done by ignorant people who want to believe in a narrative. You can pretend you know about police procedure, but it's obvious that you don't. Also, you have a poor understanding of what "idealistic nonsense" even is.

You're using anecdotal evidence to generalize the actions of every cop. The only one here who has no idea what they're talking about it you. The idea that cops will dismiss any sort of circumstances that portray the woman as the aggressor and arrest the male regardless is just ignorant. And I've had friends who have, and still are, going through something like this.

What are you talking about? The unsubstantiated claim is that police arrest the male regardless of circumstances. When it comes down to a mans word to a womans word, it is perfectly correct to say that a lot of times, the women is listened to and it's up to the man to prove innocence. I don't disagree with this. This wasn't the claim I was arguing against, nor was this the claim that was initially given.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you to a certain extent. Someone I know is currently facing this same problem. All of the evidence supports his account, and points to her as the aggressor, and that she consistently lied to the police, but it hasn't helped him much. But it's mainly the fault of the judge moreso than the police. But there are also plenty of times cops will arrest the woman.
