Traditional gender roles also include men who protect and provide. He believes in gender roles when they benefit him, not when he needs to step up. I know it's hard to leave someone you love, but you need to understand that this man does not love you; people who love you do not tell you you're throwing a pity party when you're in distress.

> 30s is higher stakes dating straight away This is only true if you're dating a woman who wants marriage/children, or you yourself want children. Otherwise, dating in the 30s can be even more low stakes than your twenties, because a lot of the folks who definitively want a family are paired off + married. In my 30s I (F) was way chiller with being asked out on dates because dating constituted a way lower portion of my income: a movie and a drink and an uber for $100 isn't much and is not such a…

I remember seeing an extremely long write up in one of the red pill spaces that boiled down to 'decenter women'. Good: women already decenter men. I have never once woke up and thought about men: I think about hobbies, yoga, video games, books, work, how to build a better autobuyer plugin to become a Neopets billionaire. So much of the red pill content boils down to 'please dear god, a woman, any woman', but also 'emily ratajkowski is mid' because the rhetoric is all about the faceless undulatin…

Additionally he has been blaming Jews for everything. Who is profiting from OF? Jews. Who is controlling the banks? Jews. Who is profiting from war? Jews. And I am of Jewish descent, something he has known from beginning. Is he on 4/8chan on X a lot? Depending on your Algo that's a rabbithole you can go down. My husband is the same. And then there's anti-immigrant content too, to which I awkwardly say: Remember when we applied for my PR honey? Guess what that makes me??? But we're kind of in a s…

The most dominant, largest, and most resourceful gorilla will be more attractive when compared to other gorillas who are inferior to him. ^ Maybe if you’re selecting gorillas from a filterable catalogue. In most real world scenarios you’re trying to find the best one from your tribe and it’s probably ‘not disfigured and won’t abandon me and decent at gathering resources’. The red pill idea is that people are somehow hyper-maximisers when in reality most of us get partners the way we do cereal: i…

I think usually the unspoken part is that ‘being invisible’ is a feeling that happen to folks whose identity is very tied to romantic or sexual interest in them: otherwise there’s a lot of pathways you can take in life. You can be a community member, a daughter/mother, best host, traveler, etc. It’s only a problem if being vivacious and attractive in your younger years is your whole identity. As POCs I think this was never much of an option: we’re either more tied to our identities as daughter/f…

Well, Mgtow is male and 4b is female and childfree is gender neutral, so I’d say she hasn’t pointed the finger at any particular gender.

Well my sample size is one but the only EE man I ever dated said ‘I spent too much money’ and ‘he will handle my finances’ after asking how much my rent was so… It was kind of a worst foot forward situation. I’m not even western; I was from SEA.

She’s playing her holy card so hard even the tradwife-seeking crowd is turned off by her tbh. I think she might have been aiming for the Courtney Ryan crowd originally, sort of a soft male-whisperer type, but veered straight onto the goat trail of rod-wielding nunhood.

From most preferred to least the order is: - In a loving relationship with a guy who loves me back, no matter how poor we are - The 4800th wife of Elon Musk, and the less he sees me the better. - Being the village witch. - Wife of some dude I don't even like.

I'm a little confused about what you're actually concerned about because his human universals are so broad as to be basic human intuition almost, but I'll just address e.g. that there's a low difference between the amount of men vs women that procreated, that women aren't pickier, that women aren't attracted to high testosterone and aggression, etc There's not much contradiction between this and what he says. Women aren't attracted to high testosterone and aggression : This one was already addre…

I think your problem will be to convince the woman that you are not an Xbox husband. The vetting process is going to be different than a partnership: you're auditioning as much as a woman aspiring to be a tradwife has to. Men have whole essays on the quality of what is 'wife material' but there isn't much said about what is a 'househusband' material - which, by the way, is what I think you're trying to say in your post instead of 'family-oriented.' How IS a househusband supposed to audition? I h…

Not particularly. I have a career which I'm already maxing and only needs time to build seniority. On my side I sign up for contract jobs (at close to my main career pay) with varying demands on my skill sets. So the main job might focus on game design work, but the contract job is on UI/UX design/trailer creation. Then I sign up for another part time job that might be a nifty 18 hours a week consulting smaller teams on game design in which I provide and gain experience as an art director, becau…

Depends on if I'm talking to the outer circle or the inner circle. If I'm talking to the inner circle, we know exactly which woman is attractive and where we rank. Some of our friends are objectively 2s. Nothing to do with personality, could be the best people on earth - but their face might be 50% chin, the whole upper row of their teeth is buckteeth, or they have the disappearing chin almost half an inch behind their actual lips. And that's not even touching the Eugenia Cooney champs or the mo…

I might have made that claim when I’m 16 or completely inexperienced with love - until I meet my first intellect-wanker and decide this sapio thing doesn’t work. In general, even extremely smart people can - like different topics from you - harp on the thing they like constantly - is not otherwise attractive to you - has opinions you disagree with - have a disagreeable personality - have nothing in common with you Sure, I don’t want a husband with actual shit for brains because my kids are alrea…

I am also average in an average person relationship. I love mine because he makes me feel safe and at peace. We do parallel play very well together: we're both gamers and readers and we like the same kind of vacations (lots of bare-knuckling unprepared random side trips). He's very calm compared to my girlfriends, and I enjoy that.

I somewhat agree, but also disagree: if I'm making marriage choices based on who my sister-girlfriends are going to think, I have issues. They're not the problem; I am. Where I agree is that women have made the meanest comments about my husband ever since he was my boyfriend, including: He looks old Oh he doesn't have that much hair does he He drives that???? Can he support you on that? You can do so much better I always expected you to go further etc. Like, somehow my husband is disappointing t…

Yup, we do! I didn’t grow up in the west though, so that might be it. I come from a conservative muslim country and here the most liberal feminists set up sex positive workshops and bootcamps. In it they discuss sexual experiences, and they encourage men to watch porn so they know what’s possible and it opens the discussion on fantasy vs reality. Porn is acknowledged as a tool to titillate couples, or to inoculate a lack of inhibition in young adults so they don’t get all prudish when they grow …

Or they’re more vocal? No woman who supports, or is ambivalent, to men’s porn use is going to make threads on it. So the selection effect makes it look like a large amount of women are against it, when in fact, we don’t think about it at all.

I was actually surprised by this after checking notes with my guy friends. Nearly anyone the girls like : Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Jennie of Blackpink, Margot Robbie, Gal Gadot, Elle Fanning…etc, gets a resounding ‘okay’ from the guys. They’re not saying they wouldn’t date these people of they were in a room with them; obviously these celebs are still hotter than any of us tortas - but they’re just very low on their hot girl celeb list. In contrast to this day I still don’t get the crazy appe…

But how do you know the successful men of 1920 are not Gatsby-styled dandies? If you read period fiction (written, obviously, by people rich enough to write) - then all the successful men in there are also successful men today: doctors, lawyers, business owners, trust fund sons. Poor rugged people working dangerous jobs married each other, fisherman with fisherwoman, bootmaker with maid. So I guess the question is - would you be willing to marry some equivalent of the washerwoman in 2025? How ca…

I agree. I think my husband basically has three buckets for men (ogres, average, good looking) and two for women (yikes and yes). I think he puts them in correct buckets, though, when it comes to men. It's just - as you say - not so finely-tuned that he would call people sixes and sevenses. But maybe in the first place that's an artificial construct we don't need?

Same deal with female dating coaches telling women to play coy, filter for provider men, and use skills last published in Why Men Love Bitches to serve men popcorn and make sure they LIKE IT. These are usually conventionally attractive women (some even unmarried AND not dating) telling women if you build it provider men will come - you just have to sit in your feminine, radiate goddess energy, manifest and meditate… And buy their course.

I think Rogan's more of a soundboard, myself, but anecdotally the Joe Rogan enjoyers of my life also say gems such as: "The moment a girl has got one of those pills in her man, it just fucks her up emotionally and womb, you know?" "One man and one god, that's what the quran says." And "It's like the libs just want to own the economy, that's what they wanna do. They wanna own it." Of course, there's also the fact that Rogan's listeners are apparently 80% male, and they're more likely to be conser…

I think the fundamental problem is that people are indistinguishable online. You can give me a platter of 10s or a buffet of 5s - if all they say is ‘hey’ and I give them responses that are just as exciting, the net attraction is zero. There is so much that goes into that initial attraction that the app is not built to encapsulate: I can have riveting philosophical discussion with someone online who shares my every hobby and come up to no attraction irl. Okay we agree about Marx, but can we kiss…

I’d wager to guess the number of women with astronomically improbable demands are probably evenly matched in numbers with men who are virulently bitter about everything. The problem is that they are the only voices anyone hears; my married or stable friends have never even heard of manosphere or red pill or 6ft-blueeye content, except maybe as a passing meme. “I want a person as average as me and treats me okay” is not good social media content.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/25 09:04 AM

🤔 That’s interesting: I usually go to book clubs and video game meetups. It’s about 95% women for the former and 50/50 for the latter but mostly because I’m in casual/cozy game meetups. Anime conventions were 50/50 too. Bouldering back when I was in Malaysia was also a 50/50 activity, but we don’t like tans, so we only climb in gyms. Audiophile gang was definitely 100% male though, it was actually more male than car shows 😂

A counteroffer has to be made that isn’t the current liberal one that men have said they reject : equality (by de-prioritizing men) and equal pay (by stagnating their wages and promoting women’s). As men in my life have put it, they would have to be economically suicidal to vote for a world order whose mouthpieces often loudly insist that white men, or just men in general, are trash. Often this gets conflated with “you’re racist because you don’t want DEI” or “what about generational wealth” but…

Look, fantasy fiction is not reality. Men read comic books about saving the world and being Superman or spacefaring cowboys while flying hyperspeed spacecrafts. The percentage of men who actually want to in fact, live in a tiny cramped space station while being shot at, or be burdened with saving the world every fortnight is low and more to point, moot - because these things don’t happen : men love the idea of power but hate the reality of it. Obviously, we understand the reality of hypergamy, o…

Or alternatively, we can’t emotionally connect to men who don’t open up to us. The first time I actually saw my SO as fully human was when he went berserk and was then emotionally vulnerable with me. I know that sounds strange, like did I thought he was a bear before then? But in many ways it just wasn’t easy to understand how he ticked: we only ever discussed plans, problems, solutions, optimisations; his answer to any question of where he was emotionally was always “I’m alright”. “I’m ambivale…

I think you’re overthinking this. Me and my homegirls soft launch for these reasons: By accident. Was trying to take pictures of the food but there was a man’s hand in one corner. We’re taken. Don’t hit on me. Do not corner me at the water cooler. You have no chance now. Stop DMing me. A man’s hand works better than saying no, because apparently direct communication doesn’t work anymore, and you can’t block all the co-workers who think if they DM hey again, you’ll fall madly in love with them. Please cite sources or examples for no.3: How will an animal identify a low body count animal? Why doesn’t evolution simply encourage the Bruce effect in females? How do you think your reasons rank against the theory that humans are serial monogamists, and not lifelong monogamists?

Are you saying we currently DON’T sexualize men, and that all our female gaze media - romance movies, novels, tv shows - center around average, even ugly men? That an average romance novel does NOT talk about abs, the most ginormous of bits, immense wealth, five o’clock shadows, forearms, beautiful orbs, incredibly long fanning lashes etc.? I mean: did we all collectively watched Supernatural because we pitied them for being so hideous? Because I don’t understand your premise: I was taught men a…
