Curious as to the demographic of the author. Probably similar to the misandrists in the academy I have to suffer from.

They (loosely defined structurally) deliberately use the scapegoat mechanism and like most scapegoaters, attack those who aren't actual perpetrator: they scapegoat those they deem weak and vulnerable. What hypocrisy.

Welcome to academia.

Super popular where I teach and I make a point of never having read her and don't assign anything of hers ever (nor would I have any reason to do given the topics of my courses).

Yes, of course, because recollections may vary doesn't apply to what the woman says.

It is like some feminists have appropriated the Augustinian doctrine of Original Sin (how ironic) and blended it with a determinism that is a morph of Calvinism.

And why do the manufacturers make men's shoes and boots quiet (rubber soles and heels) unless they are very high end? And so many times I have witnessed the woman clomping along while her "suitably sensitive male who has to pay for past patriarchal oppression" slinks around in sneakers or those pseudo dress shoes with the white rubber soles so popular these days? I have had shoe repair guys replace the rubber heels on pairs of cowboy boots with leather ones that make noise. It is also interestin…

Women are now jealous of men who wear high heels or make more noise than them while walking. Relevant?

Definitely the case where I teach and why I am hated there and treated like a threat and thus a second class citizen. They dish out what they claim was/is dished out against them. Hypocrites.

Horrific harassment from upper middle class privileged feminists in the workplace.

It is the scapegoat mechanism at work. As Rene Girard claims in his book The Scapegoat, we expose the ultimate fragility of the system they have set up.

I don't. I am repeating what they claim.

They are ableist in the companies they own and in the universities they control.

The supposedly inclusive neoliberal left is just as ableist, but they won't admit it.

I should not have to prove I am a "Good person" whatever that means but it usually means kowtowing to hostile queen bee types who mimic systems they claim are oppressive, but in the bastion of feminist theory where I teach, I am sick of feeling I have to do so. I refuse to participate any more in the mimetic victimhood dynamic.

Or they think they can treat gay men the way they treat other women. I am at the point if anyone tries that I will be fired because I will eviscerate them with those "bad words" that begin with b, shr, and c.

So true. Why it is well nigh impossible for me to get a terminal degree. Though where I teach, some of the male grad students have been supported by their female partners

Given the salacious gossip at work originated by a white privileged elitist jealous insecure woman that ruined my reputation at work, I am not surprised. If the aren't cannibalizing each other, they look for male victims. It's how the Victimology Establishment prospers.

It is essentially social cannibalism. No one really wins.

Same with some women in the academy in the United States I suffered under and still suffer under.

Yes. As Rene Girard claims, competing victimologies end up maintaining hierarchies of exclusion and scapegoating.

This stereotype happens in the gay male community as well. Really disturbing, though in the gay leather/BDSM community elders are respected as mentors and history makers.

I teach in a low status rank at a super leftie university and even helped out with the faculty union. I was and am sick of the snobbish elitism and hypocrisy. They are clueless about what the students are going through, especially the higher ranking TT faculty. But some my "colleagues" know but are afraid to say out loud that the Dems lost because of the reasons the OP so eloquently analyzes. I also have been vocal to them about how so many of the boys there who grew up in the United States drop…

Have you read Rene Girard, The Scapegoat? And any of his other writings on mimetic desire? Might be an interesting angle on this dynamic of competing victimologies. In cases like we see in postmodern leftist feminism, the victim ends up using their victimhood to gain power over the hierarchy which relies on scapegoating to maintain order, but in doing so ends up restoring the mechanism it unveiled.

Having worked and still work in some traditionally female-dominated circles, I noticed if they aren't cannibalizing each other, they look for male victims to scapegoat, like me, the ones who would do them the least harm, but they see as a threat.

I work in academia and at least a couple of my female colleagues and students agree that the boys are not doing well generally, and a couple of my liberal friends agreed with my statement that many lack viable male role models.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
