Go into Electrical engineering. Medical Imaging (MITA) is a division of NEMA. As a Biomedical engineer, you will be some Dr.'s bitch. Better to go into the broader field which governs medical imaging anyways. Leave the "medical" to the doctor/clinician. They do the diagnosis and you'll be overshadowed your entire career and pigeonholed by the biomed aspect of the work.
