Secondly, there is an issue of reciprocity in self defense. You can only legally use enough force to prevent your further harm. If a person (man or woman) is attacked they don't get a blank ass kicking check. It's not ok to hit someone with a wine glass also, but it's also not ok to go over board in your response. All the court order is saying is that a judge signed off on this and responsibility ultimately lies with them.
