My ex is still a SAHM. We have been separated for 3 years. Sold two homes. I am in the middle of buying her out of two business and paying for two lawyers and two forensic accountants that crawled up my ass to find out how much I truly make and how much my businesses are worth. And luckily I got out before 10 years so short term marriage. It ain’t an easy road but life is slowly getting better. I feel regret I didn’t leave earlier. Don’t waste your life talk to a lawyer and take action it’s not …

I feared the same thing and I decided to jump and it has been the hardest thing I have gone through and has changed me forever but fuck that shit man I ain’t giving up my soul for money and fight for your kids I have 50/50 time. Idk what your local laws are but hire a lawyer and be the first to take action and you can always can make more money but time as we know you can’t make that shit

Make sure you make it clear and take screenshots and send emails to firmly place in time with evidence your date of separation. It will become an important date as you get towards the end of your case. A couple screenshots would have banked a couple more months of support done. Also close all joint bank accounts and lock credit cards and open up new bank accounts. Start collecting past 3 years of bank statements before shutting down bank accounts. A lot easier to get when the account is open

Dude, I wish my ex would find some other man to take care of her. This dumb Chica has spent the last three years not doing shit. I’ve been paying alimony not taking anything seriously just blowing the money thinking that she was gonna squeeze hundreds of thousands of dollars from me from the businesses I own. Forensics came back. These businesses aren’t worth shit and I’ve been over paying alimony for years and she is right about to get a reality check alimony is gonna get cut by a third and she…

Absolutely agree!! Get forensics involved and get a true evaluation. If your books are in order it should be fast and not too expensive if they aren’t get a bookkeeper to go through them in detail and then provide them to the forensics. You are just going to have to get over the idea that you are going to get away without paying. You will either pay her or pay the forensics. These forensics can reduce what you owe to her substantially and worth every penny!!

I own two businesses. Which means forensics accountants for both sides. She believes they are with a million but they aren’t. It’s more like an upper middle class job. We just submitted drafts of evaluations and estimated income to the other side. Definitely getting closer hopefully by the end of the year.

Read Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. It won’t solve your problems but it will help. I am in the middle of it too. I have two businesses so there are forensic accountants involved as well and I am 2 days away from year 3 since I left. It blows fur sure…

I heard something good on YouTube yesterday get into the mindset of a scientist and think of all this shit like an experiment. Don’t take it personal when something goes wrong. Just adjust something and try to learn and move onto the next.

Thanks for the advice. I have been speaking with different lawyers haven’t chose one yet. I am just trying to figure out a way to come out of this mess on too. Since she has no income and owns half my assets, I have a feeling between spousal support and buying out her community property Interest I’ll have no money to live on myself. It’ll just be a big mess. Thanks again

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
