I hate that you're right but more and more lately, I think you are. I spend most of my time in Feminist spaces; they just keep getting more misandristic.

What is the "this" that you're pointing out as evidence that men are simple creatures?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/25 04:45 PM
1

Agreed on all fronts. I think people needlessly gender issues when it serves their argument and not when it doesn't.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/25 06:10 PM

Sure, what if I ask where you earned your degree from; casual conversation or an assertion that you didn't earn your place? How about if I say all sex workers benefit from, and manipulate, the loneliness of their clients; is that fair because I talk about all sex workers or is it obvious misogyny because most sex workers are women? Every single thing you mention have male-counterparts that you've ignored. You also assume to know the intent of all men when any man say the things you've listed out…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/25 03:41 PM

That would mean only the person doing an action could ever say if what they did was misandristic or misogynistic; which we know is untrue.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/25 03:28 PM
1

No, of course not. That would be a 24x7 job and isn’t reasonable for anyone to expect. That what it will take if we want equality though. Anyone spreading any bigotry needs to be pushed out. That’s why I rail on anyone that hates on women or men.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 10:26 PM
1

I agree with you but I want to call out, the only people that are hurt by us allowing other people to falsely claim to be feminists, is us feminists. Those bigots become the face of the movement when we allow them to.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 09:03 PM
2

Agreed, as a feminist it infuriates me when people try to spread misandry in the name of feminism. I have to make it known they don't represent the movement if I don't want people to associate their bigotry with me and what I believe. Men and women are great, it's the bigots that need to behave differently.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 07:41 PM

Thank you for telling me about that. I didn’t know about feminism’s role in that. I’ll have to read up on it.

I agree, though I don’t just think women do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/25 03:41 AM

That’s a good point. I suppose there is a strong argument that some spin-off movement, RadFem for example, could have a core tenet of focusing solely on women or even denigrating men. I think we would want to be sure we were being specific when we say that though because otherwise we’re using the same “all men” tactics I tink we all agree are wrong.
/r/MensRights03/04/25 09:48 PM
2

The reason you keep needing to reword what you're doing is because if you said "treating all men as though they deserve shame for the actions of the few" exposes your misandry. Instead you remove the harmful aspects and call it "being cautious". You aren't being cautious when you spread misandry, you're being a bigot. In your own example you say "Being cautious on a poor neighborhood or a poor country is not classist bigotry" but you don't say poor people are dangerous. That's because you give p…

I'd like to keep this focused on what I said, which is that assigning negative(or positive) traits to someone based on their demographics is bigotry. I'd like to understand why you believe bigotry is reasonable when it comes to innocent men.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 08:09 PM

This is a perfect example!
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 07:56 PM

I know many feminists. I also meet tons of bigots. The two groups have nothing to do with one another.
/r/MensRights03/04/25 07:39 PM
3

Claiming that the shame and mental turmoil you put onto innocent individuals based on the behavior of others with the same demographics. I'm not sure why anyone would purposely internalize the same beliefs as the KKK, Nazi party, and infinite hate-groups; you're sure allowed to do it...but why?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 07:37 PM

I'll agree that feminists as a whole don't overtly expel the bad-actors as much as I'd like but I can't use that as a way to claim that feminism hasn't fought for me. I'll also agree that the patriarchy theory exists and isn't an accurate representation of reality. I do what I can to fight back on that theory within the greater movement and I'll admit, it's exhausting. I think where we're breaking down is that I believe these are bastardations of the movement, not the movement. There is no group…
/r/MensRights03/04/25 05:53 PM
1

My statement have been simple and provable: feminism is based on the goal of equality. This has been the case since the movement's founding. Saying that some bad-actors within the movement exist is true. Using that to then claim that the movement itself is bigoted is a dishonest leap. I'm happy to have a conversation based on logic and evidence because that will allow either of us learn something new.
/r/MensRights03/04/25 05:38 PM
1

Since you brought up a specific theory we'll want to see how it is applied by feminism to benefit only women, since that's the claim you've repeated. Please stop half-ass engaging. I'm not going to coach you through a conversation. Either you know the things you do through evidence or you're stating beliefs based on just what feels good.
/r/MensRights03/04/25 05:21 PM

Ok, show us.
/r/MensRights03/04/25 05:15 PM

This is exactly how I feel too. We have to stamp down on hate speech because it tricks people into being comfortable with hate. Why not discriminate against the "dangerous and harmful" man that applied for a role when the "safe and strong" women could be hired instead. The reverse sexism happens too and is as equally harmful: Hiring a woman is a risk because "they love to make up allegations and sue". We're all just people trying to get by. We've just allowed far too much room for the misogynist…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 05:12 PM

The goalposts have stayed exactly where they have been for generations; equality. Just here waiting for you to share the things that make you feel otherwise.
/r/MensRights03/04/25 05:08 PM

I think the person you're replying to is saying that misandry is GENERALLY more socially allowed than misandry. That's why we see anti-misogyny laws being written in the UK rather than anti-misogyny and anti-misandry laws. I agree with the person you replied to.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 05:06 PM

I've accused you of lying, if you have anything that shows feminism is based on women's issues solely it will be incredibly easy for you to prove me wrong. More repeated slogans isn't going to do it.
/r/MensRights03/04/25 04:57 PM
-2

Feminism is built upon the goal of equality. Anyone that argues for less equality, or in many current-day cases an anti-man sentiment, is not feminist. No amount of you repeating divisive bumper sticker slogans will change that. You're allowed to hate feminism as much as you want but you aren't going to lie your way into shutting me up.
/r/MensRights03/04/25 04:51 PM
-5

Yes, many bigoted non-feminists have existed since formation of the belief system. They are not the norm nor do their beliefs fit within feminism. The movement itself has simple goals that help everyone that is discriminated against. We shouldn’t reject that admirable and beneficial goal because some bad apples snuck into the feminism camp.
/r/MensRights03/04/25 04:15 PM
-7

Exactly! Misandrists wedged their way into feminist spaces and anti-feminists use that as ammo to hate feminism while disregarding the majority of feminists that want exactly what we all do. At the end of the day I understand the logic they use but it’s a self-serving belief these anti-fems have. We will all be less equipped to argue for equality if we keep making this an us vs them thing.
/r/MensRights03/04/25 04:13 PM
-16

No, that's an interpretation but not feminism. If someone is being anti-men, they are not being feminist. This isn't debatable. The fact that we allow non-feminists to claim they are is the problem, not feminism itself.
/r/MensRights03/04/25 02:49 PM
6

Misandry is hatred, not some tool useful for change. People say these things because they want to excuse their hatred, not improve anyone's lives.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 02:18 PM
-19

I get why you feel this way but no, Feminism is not about hatred of men. I'll be honest though, it's hard lately to not associate the two. I think that's the goal of the misandrists. Don't let misandrists claim to be feminists, explain to them that their hatred of men excludes them from feminism by definition.
/r/MensRights03/04/25 01:59 PM

This is just the next theme for the gender wars. Keep track of what politicians, companies, and media companies do what and then politically or monetarily punish the ones that try to spread hate. It’s the same song and dance, but at least it seems like more people are speaking out. That means something is working, I hope.

Why is it always the Nordic countries with the most aggressive bigotry? Kaisern: is it lack of diversity, education; what's your experience?

Notice everyone how Illustrious_Tea5271 doesn't care about protecting anyone, they simply want to be sure anyone that shares demographics with the type of criminals they want to focus on are punished. Bigots, in this case a misandrist, are horrible people that should be harmed anyway possible, within the limits of the rules of Reddit, of course.

Why are so many great conversations had here but this level of argument isn't taken outside of this sub? The reason we see so much misandry is because we are too afraid to talk about it the way we would any other important topic. Stop being afraid to ruffle feathers.

My wife is my bar for an ideal woman, though a woman can be "high value" without being like my wife. Things that set her apart from most people I would date: She brings me much more emotional peace than anxiety; was able to live a full life as a single person, the same way I was; has her own friends; has her own libido; sets clear and firm boundaries with not only the world but also with me; she acknowledges the ways I better her life often and publicly; and she is willing to protect and honor o…

You're right. What does that have to do with your initial claim that men are not discriminated against? They have been for years.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 07:29 PM
1

What about this makes you think discrimination against men doesn't exist?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 06:49 PM

TermAggravating8043 is just going to "nuh uh" anything you say; they can't actually backup their beliefs. Watch their behavior and report anything they do that is against the rules; such as their low-effort replies here.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 05:35 PM

No, I've agreed that equal treatment and removing discrimination is the goal. Are you changing your main post to reflect that you are supporting the discrimination of men(and others) that you are now unable to deny?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 05:33 PM

Your claim was that discrimination doesn't exist but now it's that discrimination exists because it should. You are breaking the rules of this sub.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 05:28 PM

You're again straw-manning the argument. The AAPs require men be hired at or below their level or representation within the hiring pool population; all other groups must be hired at or above their rate or representation. That is by definition discrimination. Had the AAPs required all demographics be represented roughly in line with their representation within the population pool, that would be equal opportunity for all, which ensures women and other minorities get a change, without discriminatio…

No, the ratios required by the AAP is a quota, which is illegal. Please don’t straw man an argument I didn’t make. The policy was created to increase minority representation in the workforce, which is great. The method used to do it is illegal and wrong. We can and should increase access for all, not limit it to anyone. These policies required companies to discriminate against men(and others) and denied men(and others) the same legal recourse under the law. You claimed men are not discriminated …

My first reply was removed because I linked to my other comment. Here is the text: Laws existed in the US for decades that discriminated against men. I will focus on two that worked in concert to deny men fair access to jobs and also from legal protections to pursue a claim against the discrimination. The AAPs required by Biden's Executive Order 13985 and Executive Order 13988 required government entities, contract companies, and subcontract companies base hiring on demographic makeup of the pop…

Great, I was hoping you’d choose that. I’ll be back online in a few hours. My argument will be around the AAP that was in place for a few decades in concert with the background circumstances required by the 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th circuit courts and the DC appellate court, for a majority group to bring a suit or for the OFCCP to act on behalf of a claimant. If you’d like to get started with out that’s where I’d recommend you start. I also suggest we make a new comment chain so others can more easily…

It's because you didn't state a debate topic. There is a jumble of half-thoughts in your opening. I'm happy to get into any of it though. Would you like to debate men's likelihood or not of taking responsibility, divorce stats, or ways men have been discriminated against in the US system?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 01:22 PM
1

Both bad!
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 01:14 PM

I wish people like you wouldn’t have chased so many away from the left. We may have won if Kamala would have shut down the bigots. Now we all get to suffer because you can’t get over whatever makes you hate men.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 11:33 PM

For you, the guys has to also be a misandrist, so you can harm him without him standing up for himself. I don't think anyone should take seriously the thoughts of someone that is a bigot.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 10:20 PM

Did you try to date a guy and he said no? I know that can hurt someone's feelings. You'll get over it though, you're a big girl.

Trying to change the topic from you hating men to me voting for Jill Stein; ok. Now, back to you being a bigot. What happened to you to make you have boys and men so much?

Nurses and teachers are perfect examples. I can’t believe teachers didn’t come to my mind. They would probably have the largest effect of nearly any profession.

Haha! You are such a bad troll. Are you pausing your misandry and switching to full on idiocy next?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 09:41 PM

Yeah, no group is immune to having jerks within it. Thanks for the reasonable response!
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 09:27 PM

Nah, you desire to generalize people based on their demographics because you, like most bigots, care only about someone's identity. Men and women are great, bigots are the enemy.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 09:12 PM
1

What do you think you're replying to?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 06:18 PM
1

Then fight bigotry on behalf of the men and women that suffer from the bigotry. It's not hard to hold everyone to the same standard. Just openly fight against misandry the same way you do misogyny. The same way so many of us already do.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 06:07 PM
2

You keep talking like it's men and women fighting; it's not. Men and women are fighting bigots within each group. You just so happen to be one of the bigots, so you see it as an attack on women, when it's an attack on you. Anyone that cares about other people will always speak out against bigotry because there are those that can't.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 06:02 PM
2

Men aren't victims when women choose to not date them. Men are victims when misandry is allowed in public spaces, policies are written in a way that limits men from equal participation in roles or equal protection under the law, and other similar events. Women are also victims. The difference is that we are comfortable acknowledging that, while for men many (like you) will argue intensely against the concept even existing.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 05:42 PM
2

Because here you're getting replies where critical thought has been applied and not the automatic agreement you'd get there. You arguing in the comments is the motivation, but if you 're tough enough to not need that, then you're good.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 05:39 PM
2

I think the way the world would fall apart would be more subtle is all women stopped working, vs if all men did, but it would definitely happen. All the value provided by nurses alone would have a huge effect on anyone trying to get healthcare.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 05:38 PM

Keep fighting but try to remember women aren’t the ones saying misandristic things, bigots are. Make your arguments anti-bigot and it makes them very hard to argue against.
/r/MensRights18/02/25 09:49 PM
6

Argue with people that post things that are bigoted. You may not change the mind of the bigot but if you argue your points well you may change the mind of someone that reads what you say. You’re owed the same protection from society as anyone else. Anyone that tried to deny you of that should be treated the same way as you would anyone that tried to deny you your rights.
/r/MensRights18/02/25 09:48 PM
13

Great point! The emotional harm and social disconnect caused when people say that misogyny kills and misandry hurts men’s feelings, is the goal. They want to make online spaces, Reddit most-so, uncomfortable for men. That’s why the content rules name and exemplify the groups they do(and exclude the group it does). Edit: so many spelling errors.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates18/02/25 07:32 PM
1

Exactly! I’m glad we’re on the same page. Your pedophilia disqualifies you from most of what society does. What worry about is people that have false allegations against them. Those are just words and since we know people lie to harm others all the time, we need to be sure we only punish the actually bad. In this example it would be the pedo and the liar.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 05:48 PM

And people don’t have to date you, https://www.reddit.com/user/leosandlattes/. We have no way to know it it’s because you’ve been accused of rape or because of the accusations of you touching children under your care

This is misandry; not enough of us call it outs so it keeps going. We’re far too invested in internet points and not invested enough in standing up for ourselves and the other men that can’t do it for themselves.

Yeah, like the 18 year old high school graduate that isn’t going to college didn’t do anyone any harm just by existing. He needs to be given the same opportunity as everyone else; not denied it because he looks like people that did bad before.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/02/25 06:21 PM

I won’t vote Dem again until they fix the level of hatred they allow to spread within the ranks. I’m done voting for policies that are against my best interest while at the same time being shamed and excluded because of my demographics.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/02/25 02:33 PM
3

Ok, so when you negatively generalize men, do you sounds more like the first group or the second? Are you shaming men for behavior only some do(first), or are you saying that men have distinct challenges they face which should be talked about(second)?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 09:23 PM
3

Ope, you had it then you lost it. Let’s try again. The anger you feel for individuals that upset or harm you is legit. Do you think the people you see generalizing women are doing a good thing or a bad thing?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 09:15 PM
4

Don’t get distracted; we’re talking about you and your misandry. See how you keep generalizing all men for behavior you have in your imagination? That means you have hatred for men which you need to address.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 09:06 PM

You didn’t do that, which is why you’re being called out in your bigotry.

You being so unclear in your messaging is exactly why we should be discussing this. By making generalizations without factual support you’re putting me in a position to need to argue every point that hasn’t been proven. The recently removed US AAP required all governmental agencies, contractors, and subcontractor-companies to hire non-men or be subject to fines and penalties. The page has been taken down but you can find quite a few lawyer-group pages about it if you google it.

I've had the same thing happen. It used to be a much worse-moderated sub, now it's fairly benign. It's really hard to shake the feeling that the misandry wants to bubble up but I worry that's my own hyper-vigilance rearing it's ugly head.

I can’t take you seriously because you don’t argue with anything other than feelings.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/25 03:14 PM

You haven’t said anything debatable yet though. Claiming men are bad isn’t something based on anything. Do you have a different statement we can start with?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 01:37 PM
4

Sad that you don’t have an actual argument against my nuh uh. You are out of make believe to try to dump on us? Maybe you had a chance to reflect on your bigotry, though based on your history I’d say it’s not that. I promise, life gets better if you stop being a horrible person.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 11:42 PM

What retort is there to an opinion that’s so obviously untrue and based on nothing but prejudice? Nuh uh, may suffice.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 11:27 PM

Post where you want. If you get banned call out the sub here so we can all be sure to behave accordingly. Don’t let fake internet points or access to echo chambers convince you that standing up for yourself isn’t allowed.
/r/MensRights24/01/25 05:15 PM

Yeah, that’s why it’s so important to keep bigoted language out of laws and policies. If we don’t allow the mechanisms to exist we will inherently reduce discrimination.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 04:19 PM
1

Great, so we agree that women are able to succeed in their own without gendered policies. Everyone will have a fair and equal shot and the best people will land in the right roles. I’m glad we came to an agreement.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 04:14 PM
1

Women have been doing better because of the policies I’ve explained. It was a good thing but now things have more than reversed and these gendered policies are harming more people than they’re helping.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 04:09 PM
1

Well, if it were simply qualifications women would have roughly 47% enrollment, based on standardized test scores. We’ll end up with different expected ratios based on different qualifiers we may choose. What makes you think the gendered policies, protections, and financial assistance rates are not contributing to women’s over representation in post-secondary education?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 04:05 PM
1

Clarify which point you worry I missed.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 03:55 PM
1

You’re right about the original mechanism but that no longer applies because of the aforementioned 2/3 enrollment rate. What argument do you have for continued discrimination built into the enforcement of Title IX?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 03:51 PM
1

I’ve read it. 56% means both are nearly equally “on fire”. I’m just trying to understand your argument for gendered fixes to general problems, when the data shows all people are suffering.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 03:47 PM
0

I’m fine to have this discussion if you can point to a societal difference where one group is “on fire” and the other is not. I don’t want to try to assume what you mean by that.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 03:44 PM
0

I’ve shown the ratio and explained the mechanisms behind the discrimination. You choosing not to reply with anything substantive isn’t anything I need to work around. People now get to see how I explained why what I know to be true is and then see you say nothing. I’m happy with this result.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 03:35 PM
-1

I’m not going to argue with you as you try to defend bigotry. Treat people equally or be called out. It’s a fairly easy system.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 03:31 PM

I’ve answered this.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 03:21 PM

I agree with you in specifics but the generalized solution solves the same issue without creating the need for an “all lives matter” argument. Why include discrimination at all?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 03:13 PM
0

Title IX prohibits discrimination based on sex, which helps everyone. However the legal avenues for each sex to request enforcement of Title IX is not the same. By policy a women need only claim discrimination for an investigation to be deemed as warranted while a man must prove sex was the defining characteristic that led to their discrimination, before an investigation is allowed to begin. Removing the gendered aspect of enforcement seems to be the only way to create a leveled playing field; a…

For three generations there have been laws in place to counter what you’re describing. The result is 2/3 of people that are getting degrees that qualify them for the highest-earning jobs, are women. The correction has been made. It’s time to treat everyone fairly based on their needs, not their genitals.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 02:58 PM
3

Why not just make these women-only statements generally? No one should be tied to anyone else because they’ve had sex. Childcare is too expensive and is unobtainable for most parents. Centering of one group at the detriment to another is the core problem. Help people that need help, regardless of what they look like.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 02:55 PM
13

One core difference exists though, so it’s not an apples to apples comparison: being part of a religion, and being associated with it, is a choice. Your callout it a great reminder that it’s very easy to generalize and end up doing the thing we want bigots to stop doing.

Those aren’t Feminist arguments, they’re the arguments of non-feminists. Feminism is at its core an ideology that aims for equality. Anyone saying anything that isn’t aimed at equality isn’t a Feminist and we should all be comfortable saying that. For an analogy let’s think of a house. A house requires at least as many walls, floors, and roofs as necessary to enclose a physical space. If a single side to our enclosure is missing, it’s not a house, no matter how many people (or the fake-house its…

/r/MensRights22/01/25 05:03 AM

Yeah, I believe that at the end of the day hate speech is hate speech and shouldn’t be tolerated. Since Reddit, and most institutions, don’t care about protecting men from misandry it’s on us to be aggressive about doing it ourselves: Make a lot of noise shouting down bigots, call out misandry by name while tagging the person that said it(so when they delete their comment you’ll still know who to focus on), and make this whole site less comfortable for people that hate us.
/r/MensRights21/01/25 11:29 PM
1

I know what you mean. It’s really hard to trust that people could actually be writing something supportive when all we’re used to is being shamed. That’s one of the reasons this stood out to me. It is one of the very rare news articles Google returns when you search for “misandry” that isn’t denying it even exists.
/r/MensRights21/01/25 11:19 PM

Not really, it’s literally in the text. I don’t mean to be pointed at you but let’s not misconstrue what it says. Edit with text: “ It’s hard for me to tell how “radical” this opinion even is anymore. I have known a lot of people (especially trans people) who think that “men are the oppressors” is fundamental to all feminism rather than a specific strain of radicalism that conflicts with later theories of intersectionality. I think what the author is saying is that Feminism is accepting of him, individuals that claim to be Feminists don’t. Yeah, her book and the expose done about her work did a lot of good but they've been disregarded because they don't tell the story most people want to hear. This article speaks in a similar tone, which is why I thought it was valuable enough to share here.

Yep, keep going. It's gets into a lot of depth about the way misandry is used to try to shunt our speech and arguments. Very good read for people that fight against misandry in online spaces like Reddit.
/r/MensRights21/01/25 07:33 PM

I agree; some people hate men so much they’ll never listen to us. If it takes a cohort of all types of people to shine light on misandry, it’s still better than the alternative.
/r/MensRights21/01/25 07:04 PM
17

I’m glad to see folks in the comments calling out the misandry. I wish it were louder and more ferocious though. Men are shit on because we don’t make enough noise when it happens. Anyone saying bigoted things should be inundated with people correcting their mistaken beliefs.
/r/MensRights20/01/25 11:46 PM

As long as u/spez leads Reddit there will be allowed misandry. I really with Reddit’s board meetings were publicly shared so we could all go show Spez how strongly we feel about the hate that the policies that are in place are causing.
/r/MensRights20/01/25 08:56 PM
17

Like you said; Feminism is diverse. There are people that identify as feminists that hate men and celebrate any harm caused to men. There are plenty of others that fight against that bigotry. People that exhibit bigotry should be called out and shamed as much as possible.

Great question! Those rates (female students: 76.3% and 70.6%(we'll call cohort A)) and (female students: 77.2% and 72.1% (cohort B)) are the likelihood of respondents to report asking for verbal consent before engaging in sex, Cohort A represents female respondents that have EVER had sex. Cohort B represent females that are CURRENTLY having sex (within 3 months in this study).

“…And more often than not sex simply does not deliver the goods. This is a good one for sexism. Men are emotionless sex-seekers: “Men come to sex hoping that it will provide them with all of the emotional satisfaction that would have come from love. Surveys are hard data. They are how we get most of our understanding in any of the humanity subjects. Men under-report IPV and police detain and arrest men by default in domestic situations. These combine to make crime reports a secondary measure, not the primary, when talking about IPV.

I cannot disagree with statements like this loudly enough. Feminists are not our enemies; Misandrists are our enemies. Many Feminists really are aiming for equal rights. The fact that they are no more successful at expelling the hate in their movement than we are in ours, isn't excuse enough for me to throw away the valuable relationships I have with them.

Excluding men from protective policies, grants, and government funding have been the most damaging misandric things they've done. Who are you having discourse with and how is it creating greater equality, if not Feminists? I get what you're saying but it's not a real-world answer. Feminism is mainstream; take advantage of that fact. You wanting to try to replace that in the public sentiment is going to harm the cause more than help it.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/10/24 05:26 PM
2

I want the support of Feminists because they and we have the same goals. I won't throw that goodwill away to argue about the different groups that want to pervert the goal of the movement. People that want inequality are not Feminists the way women-haters are not LWMA (or whatever other title we all chose to use). The hateful are the ones we need to denigrate, not the Feminism movement.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/10/24 02:38 PM
5

Absolutely. It's an easy litmus test. Just ask anyone claiming to be a Feminist if they support women or if they support equality. Anyone that gives support based on gender/sex isn't a Feminist and you should aggressively and publicly push back on their use of the label.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/10/24 06:26 PM
5

Femininism is just a label; anyone can misuse it. I speak with many feminists that agree with us and I’m not willing to risk their support by over-generalizing. People that hate men are wrong; they aren’t Feminists by definition.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/10/24 03:20 PM
2

Can we just admit the truth that women and money is like oil and water? They don't mix. It's almost as if God put a curse on women lol. No, u/Islanderwithwings; we will not "admit" that women and money do not mix. Your view is ridiculous; generalizing language shows bigotry and has no place.
/r/MensRights07/10/24 03:43 PM

Great, thank you, your effort and acknowledgement helps all of us. Hopefully more and more Feminists start to practice this version of equal support. Excluding the hateful/misguided people from the Feminist and MRA communities will show how most of our goals support one another.
