So, you'll jump to the defense of men every time with "not all men"? If not, I'm not really interested in what you "hope".

I remember Travis Smiley trying to put a stop to this. He was accused of an "inappropriate relationship" and he went on tv asking "What does that even mean? In what way is any relationship I have ever had 'inappropriate'?" Nobody had any good answers for him.

In addition to what Extension-Moose-4662 says, it was only ever "believe women".

I'll trust medical experts, the people who study this stuff for a career, when they say there are benefits to the procedure over a random redditor and then couple this with the fact we rightly entrust parents to make all sorts of medical decisions for their children every day. As for comparison with FMG, which I see you make elsewhere, the two are not remotely comparable, especially in terms of risk, motivation, method, nor medical basis; FGM causes trauma while circumcision does not except when…

Or give up the idea of equality. I can work with either but they have to pick one. I mean, yes, I can pick for them but that means, by definition, I have to pick them giving up on the idea.

Honestly, you should have pressed charges, if for no other reason than to send the message double standards are supposedly wrong. If she wants to have the privilege of non-accountability she should be advocating for greater authority being given to men. Otherwise, equality is equality.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoaaaaaaaa! Just because I am wearing this suit doesn't mean she has a right to just walk up and touch me without asking me for consent first. (That's how this works, right?)

Here's your bootcamp: don't say "no". There, I just saved each and every lady thousands of dollars.

I am sorry you went thru that abuse. How are you holding up? Do you need anything? Do you have a safe space? What can I do for you besides praying for your wife to realize she is supposed to be your safe space?

I would think the best question to ask is “Are you a feminist?” with only “yes” and “no” as options.

Then, it should be trivial to: Show whether or not the effects are detrimental or not; Demonstrate such effects are statistically significant; and Have such results reproduced in independently conducted studies established, run, and assessed by independent research teams using a double-blind, if not triple-blind, methodology. Until then, there's nothing scientifically meaningful in this assertion.

In fairness, there are a lot of people getting rich from getting others to hate the wealthy. So, I'm not entirely sure your description is correct.

No, it does. The question is in what cases it is good or bad. The feminist lady likely says "It's always bad" but, I am curious, if she heard a noise in the garage in the middle of the night, would she investigate it herself or send her husband? As a man, I am proud to protect those I love -- whether family, friends, co-workers -- and I engender a certain amount of unspoken influence over them as a result. I don't seek such influence nor do I expect it and I certainly don't demand it but it is t…

Good lord. Circumcision and FGM are not remotely comparable, especially in terms of risk, motivation, method, nor medical basis. Meanwhile, FGM routinely causes trauma while circumcision routinely does not except when botched and FGM is typically done without anesthesia while circumcision is. Simply put, with FGM, the harm seems to be the entire point. Absent such intent and result of routine harm in circumcision, entrusting parents to make medical decisions for their infant children is what we …

Every lesbian couple I know is my age or older. So, there’s that but this is all anecdotal. I’m unsure what it says, also.

At what point do we say it is a scientifically demonstrable fact bi/hetero females prefer masculine males?

So, at the risk of wading into dangerous territory here, if men and women were taught from an early age — that is, as boys and girls — men had an inherent duty to be leaders in any heterosexual romantic relationship they have, we should see a commensurate uptick in perceived relationship quality/satisfaction?

So, this was entirely about the women’s perspective?

Am I reading this correctly: Men who feel they are in charge result in higher relationship quality for women even if the men are not actually in charge? If so, is there any statistically significant difference in relationship quality when the men both feel and are in charge than when they feel and are not actually in charge? Also, what if I only feel in charge if I actually am in charge?

Can you imagine if this was coming from the wife and kids? That would be horrible. How anyone could get thru the day with that and stick around hoping tomorrow will be better? They’d have to be a king.

Who said anything about OP’s parents? I could just as easily read this as written by a husband or a father.
