| 2 | Divorced and clueless about dressing well/fashion. Advice?I’ve been through this lately too. I agree a large part is just fitting properly. Go in and try them on. After trying many different brands I’ve decided most slim fit J Crew shirts, chinos work best for my body makeup and size. I really like LL Bean but they run bigger, so if a big guy I’d try them. Ralph Lauren Polo Oxford shirts are great too, so if truly skinny may go with them. But obviously many other choices out there. My normal “date” attire is an Oxford shirt, dark Levi 501’s, and leathe… | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/11/23 04:30 PM |
| 2 | Men in your 40s dating younger women, what are you guys doing?I’m in Texas. Since divorcing I’ve been in two short term relationships with somewhat younger women (30 and 32). I’m not specifically looking for that I’m actually more apt to date women my age but I’m open to younger and it just kind of worked out. I’m not specifically crazy attractive or fit or rich. But I’m decently attractive and decently successful. I just met both of them on OLD. They had both dated older before me occasionally and for whatever reason some women actually do prefer it. | 1 | How are you guys able to live alone? All those things I built once, the house, the wife, the dog, so no reason I cant build again. In fact easier this time, Im a little smarter and have grown as a person.. And hopefully I will make a better decision on the wife part. But even if I don't, Ill take a one bedroom and being alone over having a house and feeling alone stuck and with someone else who couldn't do anything but drag me down. Life is not over man, we had it once, if you want it again, it's all possible! | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/08/23 01:47 AM |
| 1 | Just curious to know. How many of y’all had people who thought you were a lucky guy because your wife was attractive but in reality the only thing you were getting was starfish sex and she never initiated ?This was me 1000%. I’ve thought a lot about this. She had a perfect 10 of a body and made more money then me. And she was the one pressing marriage harder, and I think those things combined made me ignore all the red flags just hitting me over the head repeatedly. I thought I’d won the lottery. And ignored the craziness and emotional coldness and manipulation for along time. And really became about as beat down as one could be. I think she thought she married down and could do whatever and be as… | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/06/23 03:30 PM |
| 2 | Fellas, I'm extremely indecisive and it's nearly killing me. I'm really struggling. This situation sounds much like me, but maybe a year ago. I tried so, very very hard. But eventually got to be too much and I was so incredibly unhappy. We are going through a divorce now, and although it’s a sad situation, Im also happier then Ive been in awhile. I think I forgot who I was there for awhile trying so hard to make it work by being who she thought I should be. Not that it made much of a difference. I can’t tell you what to do. If it’s possible to save I would advise trying. But ho… | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/06/23 04:38 PM |
