Nah OP said it was afternoon. They ran into the rather strong daylight.

At least she said it was controversial. Personally, I believe that paying 100%, especially on the first date, is giving everyone the (at least subconscious) idea that you're the person who'll be providing the main monetary support to the relationship. Doing it successively is just doing everyone a disservice.

A decent list, but I don't like how she assumes that she's speaking for the entire female gender. Her over-reliance on the pronouns "we" and "us" incorrectly put the message across that all women think alike. Whilst there are some good tips, everything is incredibly subjective. Some women are perfectly fine talking about their previous dating histories and even ask you first. Some appreciate it when you admit that you're nervous. Others loathe the chauvinistic insistence on paying. You really ju…

Yeah hotel rooms are pricey for a student (~£40 in UK) but really great for an intimate atmosphere. I really don't like texting for serious conversations so if you're seeing her soon, bring it up then. In person, everything's so much more genuine and you can gauge her a lot better. By getting her approval, I mean you can't just book a room and surprise her with it when you next meet her. You don't even have to mention sex, just something like "I was thinking of booking us a hotel room. Intereste…

Ah, we have different definitions of "direct". When I say direct, I mean actually ask her about how she sees the relationship and if she just wants to be friends. Kissing and paying for her dinner just pussyfoots around the topic and in the worst case scenario she could just be using you as a doormat (I doubt it, but I've been wrong before). As for escalating aggressively, I suggest looking into hotel rooms, although that definitely needs her approval first.

A lot of people seem to be sure that it was one or the other. The truth is that people are different. It may have been a "shit test" or she may genuinely just want you as a friend. It's also important to note that "friend" in this context does not necessarily rule out that you're in relationship. In fact, she could see you as both her lover and her friend. For her, the words may be interchangeable and if this is the case then I think it's a good thing. Ask her on an obvious date. Make it known. …

Coffee shops alone aren't bad as long as you have something to keep you busy like a book. If you've got a purpose for being there, then you're not so much 'alone' as 'reading your book'. Then, if you see someone you like, you can approach them and say "Hey, I was just reading my book but I couldn't help but notice you". As for going to nightclubs alone, I could never get into it. For me, the music is always too loud to have a proper conversation. It's much better to go to a bar where it's quiete…

As /u/sh0nuff said, you'll be gone soon so I wouldn't miss too much sleep over it. Still, if you desperately want to turn things around before you leave, my advice would be to talk to the girls 1-on-1. Without any of their friends nearby to reinforce your bad image, you can have an easy-going conversation with them - and you won't feel outnumbered. Once you're both relaxed, you could even ask "Hey, I've noticed we haven't talked lately. What's up with that?" or "I get the feeling my ex has been …

The podcast switched out 'sister' with 'girlfriend', but I think that could put you in a bad position if the hot girl talks about you with the other girls at the party. The point is just to have a comfortable conversation by showing the hot girl that your mind isn't on her. 'Cousin' or even just 'friend' works well.

Extra TL:DR: Go to hot girl first. Have relaxed non-flirty conversation, then move onto girl you'll actually flirt with. Only listened to the first half so far but it's basically a strategy for when you go into a party alone/with friend where there's many single girls. Step 1: Find the hottest girl in the room and approach her with good body language. Step 2: Strike up a non-threatening conversation such as "My sister has a similar taste in clothes. Any tips for a birthday present?" Step 3: Make…
