Too true. I have a little stomach fat because I'm bulking and I just feel disgusting. But I'm not ready to flip my diet and cut quite yet.

Thanks for the all-in-one guide. I've been following the bodyweightfitness recommended routine, but I'll have to go over this in detail to see if there's anything I want to change. I especially like the dietary tips, broken down into a very easy to understand way.

Hi. It's me. I'm you, 10 years in the future. Metaphorically speaking. Now, I haven't had much success either. And I'm 29 so that's even worse! But if there was advice I'd tell myself 10 years ago it would be this. Use your time in school to build connections. Actively think how you can get into groups and build meaningful friendships. You can try to find relationships at the same time, but having that wide social net helps a ton down the line. Where I'm at, I don't have anyone to rely on, and t…

Fuck, man. It's easy to say that when you're 19. I'm 29, haven't had a relationship in a decade, and have never had sex. I'm incredibly depressed about the whole situation and don't really know how to get out of it. Now before you say "work on yourself first", I am. I'm working out, I'm trying to socialize, I'm trying everything I can to improve my situation. But ultimately I feel sad and lonely and a failure as a man because I can't find love. Or hell, I can't even find a close friendship with …

Not to dig up 2 month old posts, but... Think about it from a guy's perspective. Where am I supposed to go to meet and flirt with women? My hobbies leave me surrounded by men. I haven't done yoga, but I've certainly considered it, just because there are a lot of women there. But if that's creepy, what is the alternative?

Thanks. This post is definitely for me. I am deeply depressed over my social issues, but that's certainly not my only problem. I need to make sure I'm addressing all of them.

I dunno. My office is generally pretty lenient with dress code, but I never see the women in revealing clothes.

Not new information, but a good article nonetheless. Interesting seeing it in terms of this gini coefficient. I remember seeing a chart where it compared how men rate women's attractiveness compared to how women rate men, and it came to much the same conclusions. That 80% of men are considered below average attractiveness, and women are rated by men pretty fairly, maybe even slightly above average bell curve.

I don't disagree, but aren't there other legal advantages to marriage? Filing taxes as a couple, getting joint insurance rates, to name a few.

You have to understand, low interest loans are actually very good, because of inflation. Basically, if I have, I dunno, half a million dollars, and I'm buying a nice house. I could pay the entire amount up front, or get a loan. You might say "Oh, but then you're paying interest on the loan." You are correct, however, if you get a loan, you still have the half a million dollars, that you can use for other things, or invest it, and now that money is working for you.

How am I supposed to meditate? At a specific time of day? Or just when I think I need more awareness or focus?
/r/TheRedPill20/02/19 04:13 AM
4

Perhaps not. I'm working out, but I haven't gotten the results I want yet. I'm going to get a trainer at the gym to help me rework my stale routine. And as for my goals for women... well you got me there. What is meditating supposed to achieve?

Thank you. This is one of my biggest problems. Procrastination, bad routines, etc. I'm in the process of changing my habits right now, and yea, it's really difficult. I'll take some of what you did, to start, and work on improving my morning routine. I tell myself every night that I'm going to do things differently, but when I wake up, I'm a zombie. I know I want to do something else, but I still fall into the same habits, because of any number of excuses I give myself.

I don't have any particular program, no. I spoke with some of the trainers and they helped me put together a routine. Do you have any programs you recommend?

I'll try. I've been struggling in a few exercises because I've had sharp pains one knee or another, and in a tendon in my right arm. So I have to take it a bit easy, I presume, so I don't hurt it further. But it's starting to ease up, so I'm adding weight back in on those exercises. I just don't want to overdo it and seriously hurt myself. I don't drink at all, so no worries there.

Being 'able' to curl a 50lb straight bar, while cool, is totally wrong if you're only squatting 90lbs. I'm not too sure on how you're supposed to refer to the weight. I wasn't including the weight of the bar, so that would be 135, I guess? Do people normally add that in when they talk about how much they lift, or just the added weight?
/r/TheRedPill07/06/18 02:22 AM

I'm surprised by how much people want to help me. I wasn't expecting that from my random comment. As for my records, let's see... Squats I started at 50 lbs, now 90. Rows 50, now 90. Deadlifts 50, now 80. Straight bar Bicep Curls 30, now 50 lbs. Dumbbell Chest Press 15 each, now 30 lbs each.(I added more weight today actually, felt nice) Dumbbell shoulder press, 10 each, now 25 each. Tricep Push down, started at 40 lbs resistance, now 80. And I do sit ups on an inclined bench, holding a 10 lb we…

Sure. There hasn't been a whole lot of progress, but I have added some weight since I started. As for my weight, I may have gained a pound or two. It's very small so it may be within normal fluctuations.

Involuntary celibate. These are people (usually men) who think that they can't get laid because of reasons outside their control. They have a reputation for being shut ins, anti-social, or even woman hating, though obviously this varies person to person. So there are some correlations between Incels and Feminists, as this tweet points out.

Are your knees bent enough at the bottom of the lift? I think in my case I was trying to bend them less and I was lifting with my back too much.
/r/TheRedPill19/04/18 05:14 PM
11

Yea. I started lifting a few months ago. Every time I see a trainer, or ask another gym member for help, I always ask them about my form. I guess I'm a little paranoid that I'm doing something wrong, but the exercises feel a lot better than when I started. Deadlifts would make my lower back ache, and I couldn't get the form quite right.

That doesn't seem right though. I feel that way even when among family and close friends. I've obviously had a long time to become acclimated to them, and I don't have any social awkwardness with them, yet I still hate having long conversations, and can't deal with those long social interactions, even if I find them enjoyable for short periods of time.

I'm not sure us men should be dictating what ' legitimate women's issues' I don't think anyone should be dictating what legitimate issues are. It's all part of the conversation. If someone says "women... (Let's pick a common issue) make 77 cents on the dollar that men make" then I expect they can defend that statement. And if I disagree, then I need to back my claim up. What is not helpful for anyone, is claims of misogyny or men dismissing women as stupid, or what have you. That prevents produc…

The overwhelming amount of domestic abuse support is for women, despite men being 40% of the victims. The first male domestic abuse shelter in the US was opened this past year. When men call into domestic abuse hotlines, many of them will not even accept men's calls.

I have no problem having a conversation about, and working to remedy women's issues. As long as women's day doesn't become "Shit on men day", which is what some women do. And we sometimes highlight those women here, when appropriate. But I am all for supporting legitimate women's issues.

I spoke with the leader of my old Troop recently and he was telling me how they were pretty low on members.
