I refuse to interact with men like that.

Thanks I have thought about that. The other thing is I need something from her and not the other way around so she keeps brushing off my issue and gaslights me

MAn this sounds like my property manager I’m still angry about that conversation a month later.

So true. But then how do you respond when someone continuously repeats and gaslights you? This is a situation where one can’t avoid dealing with the person such as your landlord

Lol had a similar thing happen where in my profile it asked the secret to happiness is : My response was to stay away from men that claim and want drama free, they turn out to be the biggest headaches of all. I got a guy saying I can say the same thing about women! Um. I identified a subset not the whole gender! And this truly has been my experience. It’s a cop out so that you don’t show any emotion or frustration they call that drama

Wow been with one of these yepZ never said I was beautiful and never said to me what others said about me, like the good attractive things He’s still as insecure as ever. Took me a long time to figure it out. Criticised my use of lotion. Criticised my use of Facebook ten years ago stating all pictures are just me in them and I wa self absorbed. Dude it’s going to be just me in it it’s my effin profile pic

I actually have a 17 year old neice who got called boring by a boy because she needed to study and couldn’t come to his birthday party. This girl is quiet and introverted. I explained to her it’s okay because you got priorities and 10 years down the line you will be someone while he will be no one.

Dumb.

That was a dumb comment on his part. I thought he would be responding to art of whatever cos I’ve actually seen people think art is a useless major... I don’t share that view ofcourse.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/06/20 09:31 PM

Curious to know what’s the major and why this guy thinks it’s cute?

He needs to be dumped. This will not change.

Aha. So yeah I’m not a pick Meisha but I’m definitely one when I fall for someone. Sigh. Which is rare as I’m über picky... so idk how to classify myself :)

Thanks. I don’t reveal anything too early and I tend to not reveal trauma at all. In my past it’s only used against me. I’d probably reveal trauma after knowing the person for like 5 years but not before that. My thing is I’m super picky and when I feel a connection I tend to go for it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/05/20 04:20 PM

Thanks so much this was eye opening. How do you withhold feelings? Apparently he does it really well. We spoke for a good year so it was hard
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/05/20 02:58 AM

I agree. It’s just that my mind then wonders what if they don’t come back or the misunderstanding isn’t cleared? Like I’m always giving the benefit of doubt thinking oh perhaps he misunderstood. Do you or did you ever do that?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/05/20 01:22 PM

That’s only after he knows you text a lot right?

I guess for me the person stops living rent free only with time. I still have positive imaginery of them in my head after ending things. I’m slow to let go but once I do I don’t look back
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/05/20 04:35 AM
2

Thanks! The only thing is I tend to say A LOT. But yeah I get everything off my chest, all my observations, and everything that I noticed that I didn’t like about the person lol

Exactly.

yeah i cant do forgiveness either but im also not christian. Forgiveness does not relieve me it makes me angrier.

Thanks for showing another way of viewing it. I guess through the interactions I realized that its actually me unloading my mind and at one point once i'm done saying what ive been holding my tongue for months for, i feel so relieved and am able to shut doors better than if i leave unspoken. I wish i could give the silent treatment but dont think i am built that way. I'd love to learn how to though! :)

i actually had an ex from 8 years back whom i never got closure from and it bothered me for years. 2 years ago i reached out and we were to talk but randomly he dropped. i said a lot of stuff and then blocked him on facebook and i felt soooooooooo much better. Guess what? Dude messages me 2 months ago saying he received some "disturbing" messages from me and is available if i want to talk. ha! i was like dude that was long ago i dont even remember what i said 2 years back and i also dont want to…

thats nice of you, thank you!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/05/20 07:12 PM

Thanks but i disagree, i wouldn't call it low self confidence. Its not a confidence issue at all and i'm well aware of that. it's a peace of mind that i get by speaking my mind but thats also because i'm a highly expressive and talkative person. Whether they "actually" read it or not or do whatever with it is, doesn't bother me. but at some point, they WILL read it trust me. and it does hit them.

I also feel taking advice from friends should be down with a grain of salt. They usually only know half the story
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/05/20 04:42 PM

YeH I don’t have friends like that. Unfortunately
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/05/20 04:42 PM

The thing is I never know who’s wrong and I always want to make sure I didn’t do anything wrong and I guess that’s what gets me
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/05/20 04:38 PM

Wow that’s messed up. Did you share your past sexual trauma with him? You should def go back. When you hide they think you were in the wrong
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/05/20 04:37 PM

Then how do you express your anger and let him know he fucked up?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/05/20 02:37 PM

What? A guy posted a message somewhere ?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/05/20 02:36 PM

I write in the notepad but still want to send it. I don’t get relief until I speak my mind and make sure sender has seen it. Idk what that is called :(

WhT do you mean you’re never alone in life as in you have roommates? I enjoy travel alone but it can certainly get lonely
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/05/20 08:52 PM

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/05/20 08:03 PM

Yeah that’s a lot of masking but I do know some people love doing this. When I was younger and had way more time I liked doing it to my hair but it was still such a chore

I wonder if there’s a men’s form where I can read how their minds work?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/05/20 04:22 AM

What food do they eat? And what do they workout 2-3 hours a day?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/05/20 04:09 AM

Holy crap. I recently was talking to someone for a year and I felt something and so did he. He was really lax about getting on our first video call and then I had sinus surgery after which he chewed my brain and nagged me for not having a call eventhough I kept telling him I just had surgery 6 months later I find out his buddy asked him when he’s gonna see me on video and long story short when he says we are trying to get on FaceTime but I’ve not been available his buddy goes “oh man she’s just …

Omg briefly dated someone who’s never lived alone and he couldn’t understand what kept me so busy even when I wasn’t employed. I’m like, uhhh, seeking employment is keeping me busy besides all the other things I’ve got to do?

Thanks for typing this up. It’s helpful. Is that twitter person on Instagram? I don’t use Twitter. For 5: the emotions take over so much that I don’t know if I’m in the wrong or right or what. Even without emotions taking over I’m always confused whether I did something wrong etc. I’m an empath and easy to guilt on. I don’t know how to change that. Also every story is different like every interaction is different so I never know what I need to do. Part of this could also be that I’m older and my…

The confidence is there but with a flood of emotions and being picky and then finally feeling like you found what you wanted and then things not working out in the immediate nature it is tough to just be like yeah cool see ya later when someone breaks up right?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/05/20 12:24 AM

What about those that claim to be confused and just wish to explore stuff?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/05/20 12:23 AM

Well yes everyone says self love but exactly how does one execute it? In the moment it doesn’t hit you because emotions floor in.

Wow man you guys are really strong women. I don’t know how to do this?

Wow! What did she like about it? What kind of law? Well my dilemma is that I’m now going to be 37 this year and by the time I finish lsat and apply for early I might be 38 or 39, then 3 years of law school, then bar, so by the time I’m ready to start a new career I’m then around 42. Then I need to find someone to marry and have kids :( Even if I succeed in finding that then at 42 do I start a new career or have kids? You know?

I used to know someone who would say since women love to be empowered I always tell them pay for yourself! Women and men are equal! What a turnoff.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/04/20 12:47 AM

Wow. Your mom. Did she enjoy being an attorney? I’m dying to be one. But worried about biological clock not that I have someone ready to marry. Sorry to hear about her passing. May her soul rest in peace.

Oh yeah so true. Ironically the very first guy I ever dated painted me as this crazy person. His best friend eventually found out how big of a pathological liar he was and then sided with me. I moved states far away and didn’t tel him cos his stalking ass wouldn’t leave me alone. Eventually came back and got a restraining order against him. He didn’t want me to move on but I did. And he still calls me to date. That makes me wonder who exactly was crazy. The guys that call women crazy or emotions…

WhTs semi normal? This shit is scary. I got cussed out by someone I didn’t want to meet, once. But this normally doesn’t happen to me often. I’ve also noticed the dudes that say they want drama feee are the most drama oriented guys ever
