It only exists if the woman is into you the whole time but either assumes you’re friendzoning her or if there is a reason you’re off limits, like if you have a gf or you work together. Every time I’ve gotten into a relationship, I’ve had at least one girl friend who basically stopped talking to me. Can’t say for certain they were into me, but the timing is suspicious. A lot of times, the woman will make a move on you while you’re out drinking, and say she wants you to kiss her or something. I do…

Sometimes I’ll go out with a girl friend and watch them get hit on. The guy will awkwardly force touch, say her name a lot repeatedly, hold eye contact even in situations where you’d normally lose eye contact for a second (e.g. you both laugh at something together) and it comes off exactly this way. It’s like learning all the steps to a dance without listening to the music and feeling the beat first. Obviously I’ll never shame them to my friends because we’ve all been there before and I’ll try t…

I know you’re a lawyer so work hours are pretty brutal, but how often are you able to go out on a Friday/Saturday night with friends? Besides pure approach, the best way to build abundance is to create a social life where you are meeting new people as much as possible, and it will compound. Being the guy who is always there, whether making or accepting the plans, pays off. You’ll get to know your friends’ girlfriends and they’ll invite you to their next party with 25 women there and say great th…

Yes and no. They have options virtually everywhere, but most of them do not stand out, or like you said it’s guys trying to slide in on Instagram. When they meet a guy who is genuine, masculine (they also interpret this differently from how men do), and attractive, he stands out. So yes they have load of options, and they may even be acting on some of those options, but it’s not really that hard to stand out amongst the crowd when you take these factors into account

“Long game” is usually either someone who thinks you’re attractive and flirts with you but has some other reason not to be with you like you work together or live in different places or one of you is in a relationship (MAJOR red flag if so), or it’s someone who just is not into you. Either way, it’s a waste of your time in the current moment to fixate on. I don’t care how special it is when you’re together. You will find someone that is equally special, date them, and maybe you’ll later find out…

I think you have a point that you can’t really fake it till you make it if you don’t have the underlying capability to prove yourself. But I also believe if you demonstrate general competence and are “good enough” overall, if a woman really wants to be around you she will not think as much about the status games. It’s sort of like the show Suits: Mike Ross mimics a Harvard lawyer and behaves the way a Harvard-educated lawyer would behave, but even once people find out he didn’t go to law school,…

They’re two pretty different vibes so it comes down to which one suits you best. If you’re a jacked guy in tech or pharmaceutical sales who is really into fitness, AZ is definitely the way to go, and I’d suggest living in Scottsdale or N Phoenix near Desert Ridge. If you’re a tall skinnier guy in finance and your top priority is getting into the hottest new restaurant or bar, go NYC. Women are down to have fun in both places. What I would say is that actually going against the stereotype, New Yo…

I went to one of the two major universities there, and I would say going to school in Arizona is more fun overall than most places you’ll go, but it’s less about the parties being Hollywood-esque and more about people having a general sense of extroversion and wanting to have fun in the sun. I can’t imagine that college kids in Florida or California were any less wild or the parties were any different. If you talk to kids who went to college in the South or the Midwest, they’ll tell you stories …

I remember a few years back, before my most recent relationship began, I was consistently talking to and seeing three absolutely amazing women from apps, another woman who came back from the past, and trying to find time to take out a couple of new people too. They were all great experiences so little by little I had to end things just to get time back to myself, until there were only two left. Then things ended with the last one after two months and I basically had to start all over again. Not …

NYC’s ratio is going to be better than anywhere else, but I don’t think AZ’s is that bad compared with most of the other west coast cities. Having dated in both, it comes down to your vibe. I’m a tall lean corporate guy. In NYC I fit what the women are looking for automatically, in AZ they had to stretch their usual type a little bit more. My buddies from AZ come to NYC and it’s the other way around. It doesn’t really mean anything other than the amount they’ll test you at first, and maybe impac…

It’s funny because I was actually thinking about this the other day. I haven’t had a hinge in about three years due to being in a relationship, but I used to put up Wilt Chamberlain numbers on there as a pretty normal guy by tailoring my prompts a bit to stuff women like. Just stuff like instead of saying I go grocery shopping on Sunday I’d say I go to Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods because I know women love those stores. I do shop at those places, but when I need groceries I just go to whatever st…

I’d ask her to do something fun, check out a museum or a grab a coffee at a new shop, something easy. I would really play it safe on the escalation and let her come to you way more so than you would on a regular date to be quite honest. A note of caution that doesn’t have a bad ending: I was in a situation like you once, but we were early 20s at our first “career job.” Very flirty and touchy, we worked together and would unintentionally spend time alone out somewhere while we waited for her othe…

It’s all about proximity, but what that means sort of depends on the type and “level” of influencer. At the level you describe with followers in the millions you basically have to be extremely wealthy and high status, extremely famous or good looking, or have the stars absolutely align perfectly where you happen to be in the same venue, you stand out for some reason, and she wants to talk to you and then goes home with you afterwards. You’re probably not meeting that girl on hinge or even Raya. …

How old are you and what sorts of dates are you going on? Coffee dates in the middle of the day vs. grabbing drinks late night on a weekend give off different vibes. On your second point, like someone else also said, are you kissing them at your place or theirs (somewhere private) or like out on the street at the end of a date? If it’s the latter, just see if they’re down to go back to your place. Much easier to escalate from there, things “just happen.” I know it probably feels forward from you…

Hypothetically you can recover but it really depends on how your chat was in person with her. If you really connected over something(s), you could bring that up in a few days or something. Your biggest mistake wasn’t teasing her, it was getting defensive to her replies. Her responses were a little sassy and flirty, you could’ve played it off and/or kept joking, instead your response comes off more serious and defensive (even if that’s not your intent). By doing that, you play into her frame whic…

Agree with this. In probably half of the extremely hot couples I see on TikTok, the guy has a dead-eyed deer in the headlights look to the point I wonder if he has an internal monologue. Doubt that guy is splitting atoms or even really suave and clever, being a 6’5 ex-DIII basketball player with a chiseled jaw is enough

Just saw this come across my feed. I think the comments saying you were too invested are off base, that seems like a catch-all explanation. I had a similar situation a couple years back: talking for almost two months even though we both were traveling a lot, two great dates, we hooked up both times, and she was sending me paragraphs of messages with compliments and questions literally right before she disappeared. I don’t really know what happened there, just like I can’t guarantee what happened…

Do you text these girls again after you hook up with them? What do those look like? Also, I’m hoping and assuming you’re building connection through pillow talk and that sort of thing night of. It sounds like everything builds to the sex and then once that’s done, that’s it. Doesn’t mean you’re bad in bed, you could be amazing, but there’s nothing to keep her coming back. Not sure if this helps, but something I’ve learned the hard way is that you should be really direct about your interest in he…

I think there’s a way to tweak this advice to make it better, something like “don’t be afraid to share your whole self.” One thing being in a relationship has taught me (when looking at past flings) is how restrained I was. I found way more success with sharing random moments from my life, sending “this reminded me of you” memes or whatever, and sharing the dorkiest parts of my humor. I can literally read old texts now and see where connection was made and lost, and so often it was lost when I w…

Life is all about choices, and making choices is about sacrificing literally every other option, so yes, I’m missing out, but it’s okay. If I eat steak for dinner, I’m missing out on millions of other flavors, but I’m choosing the steak. It’s not about what you’re missing, it’s about what you’re doing. Being single is nowhere near as fun as you think. I’ve had those same thoughts as you before, but the idea of a hot single life is much better than the reality of it. There’s still a lot of loneli…

I was probably pretty similar to you when I was your age, so I get where you’re coming from. One thing I did that I think you’re doing too is you think of dating as a very formal thing, with rules and structure, when truly it is complete chaos. It seems like you actually want to like the girl as a person before you sleep with them, and that kind of makes you second guess your feelings when there is an opportunity to hook up. I think you just need to be decisive. If there is a good vibe and you t…

I’ve had the same issue, I think it’s like a pendulum. I was seeing a girl last summer and went out of town for about 10 days. We’d talked about going out again once I got back and I knew she was busy while I was gone (she was in med school and had a big test coming up) but free once I was back so I kind of left her alone. Texted her once I was back in town, never heard back. Alternatively, a few months back I was seeing a girl, I’d similarly been out of town for a week or two between dates but …

Agreed completely. I think just about every girl I’ve ever made out with has complimented me physically, even if they ghosted me later. Would be a surprise if they thought I was too ugly. I really like the 5% rule; I think it can also apply to distractions in general. If she’s 5% more distracted by other guys, friends, family, school, work, travel, etc. then it’s over. Timing is so important that you can do everything right and it still won’t always work out, like you said women change their min…

I could lecture you and nitpick every little thing you potentially could’ve done wrong, but that’s pointless. It sounds like she had a good time and that’s what’s important. You’re definitely overthinking because you’re at least kind of into her, and that’s okay and pretty expected, but calm down. Don’t text her today, wait until the end of this week (4-5 days at least) and then reach out. She may reach out in the meantime. As for missing the hint, don’t stress it. It sounds like you did things …

One thing I’ve realized I am not particularly good with in dating is maintaining momentum. I also definitely tend to follow the rule that less is more with texting unless the girl initiates a lot and is very responsive. I do wonder if things would often be different if I did a better job of staying in contact a lot more, joking around and asking about the girl’s day. I also genuinely worry that that comes off too needy. I think a lot of dating advice today still comes from the 80’s and 90’s when…

In a prestigious business field. Definitely helps on first impression, but pure compatibility and attraction is still a big thing. Also not rolling in cash quite as much as a lot of people think for my profession. That’s a choice for me, work/life balance is important to me right now but that could always change. I think the sweet spot for a longer-term relationship is finding someone in a similarly prestigious profession that is not yours or something adjacent (I.e. if you’re in banking, a med-…

Not OC, but I think that it seems like guys who do play games and are direct about not wanting to be romantic or have that sort of relationship do tend to do better with women. In reality, a lot of guys who do that do worse with women than one would otherwise think, and the perceived success mostly comes from their boundary setting when lots of guys would go with the flow and let things drag on

Just had things ended by a girl who I thought things were going really well with for about a month and a half. Prior to that was ghosted by another girl after two dates that I thought had gone well too. Both of them I was supposed to go out with again prior to things ending. I think my blame automatically goes to myself, but it’s not that I did anything wrong. Even if those two felt a great vibe with me, maybe the perfect person came into their lives at the same time. It may be even easier sometimes now than in the show given dating apps. If you’re good looking enough, make decent money, and know what you’re doing with confidence, you can make things happen fairly easily. It doesn’t mean you get every woman, but it makes it relatively easy to win the numbers game if you’re actively talking to women you find attractive
/r/seduction12/07/22 09:32 PM

Lots of factors, but a big reason I see is in how politeness is viewed. The difference between being kind/polite and being a pushover is the level of respect you have earned. When men essentially automatically had status over a woman, the chivalry and true courtship came off as powerful rather than powerless because there was more of an instant respect. In addition, women didn’t have 1500 guys in their DMs trying to fly them to Ibiza for a chance at a one night lay. When you get used to men over…

White guy confirming this. Grew up around all white people but have never long term dated a white woman for more than about a month. Just off of my own experiences as well as conversations with girl friends who are white, I think there tends to be more of an expectation to be taken care of rather than a normal desire. And no desire to be with you on the way up. I’m likely ahead of where their own fathers were at my age, but it doesn’t really matter because they don’t have a concept of a “normal”…

Not sure if it’s only location or culture in general. It’s almost universally attractive in less culturally relevant places to be “in town” from a more culturally relevant place (e.g. New York or London basically anywhere), because it creates status. Beyond that, cities and rural towns will generally have very different cultures and value different aesthetics more. Your body is probably going to matter more in rural places because people tend to do more manual labor and work in more labor intens…

I’ll caveat that it depends on your connection with the woman, but in general the way I’ve explained it to my girl friends is that men tend to set the standard at the lowest amount of effort it takes for her to hook up with someone. If a “u up” text is all it takes, we immediately have a hard time justifying a ton more effort. It’s not necessarily right and it doesn’t account for people, circumstances, etc. changing because the primal part of our brain doesn’t really understand that. It’s for th…

I’m not sure hotter girls are easier, but like one commenter said, their actions and reactions are more consistent. They also tend to be more aware of their signs of interest. A bubbly cute girl can be playing with her hair, touching you, laughing at all your jokes, and smiling maintaining eye contact the whole time, but then tell you she has zero interest. In my experience, a really hot girl has (for better or worse) been taught to keep more of a straight face or pout, lest someone think they’r…

Had a very similar experience. Growing up I was a skinny nerd with a baby face and average height. I think it’s kind of a normal experience. Had a similar situation a few weeks back: OLD match, 2 dates, lots of touching, talked/flirted for four hours both times, kissed, she texted first after the second date and wanted to go out again. They probably are more passionate about other things than they are about getting women. They don’t try very hard and it makes it easy for them to talk to women because they probably just care less. The description you provided makes me think of my father, although he was probably a bit funnier back in the day. My dad always told me that the best way to attract a woman was to not give them much attention, which is not perfect advice but seemed to work for him. He had a lot of passions and things …

That doesn't work because there's always going to be someone better. Not that this is incorrect, but it does become self-fulfilling. You can always find something about another guy that makes you feel inferior, but you also don’t know that some other guy isn’t making the assumption that you are better than him. You have to demonstrate compassion and love for yourself all the time. You’ll naturally start treating yourself like a king, which breeds confidence and strong boundaries (not being a pus…

The advice you see is generally pretty good and will help you with women in general. A better question might be what level of satisfaction people feel with their success and utilizing their advice. In general I’m pretty happy, I match with a lot of really attractive women on dating apps, go out on a lot of dates, and maybe half of these dates end with us going home together. I’m also tall, good enough looking for just about any girl, and dress well enough for most women as well. I think I often …

It’s also his drunk coworker though, so I get it. I’ve had a coworker who gets pretty flirty tell me to take her out to dinner two separate times and my natural instinct was to play it off. She goes hot and cold as well. When your job could be on the line if you misread something, the girl not following up and being “hot” is intimidating. Sounds like OP has built up enough momentum now with her going after him that he might be a little safer now, but it makes sense why he’s cautious

Agreed, although I think it depends what you’re looking for. It’s definitely tougher to meet people than you’d expect, lots of women looking for a relationship (usually with someone making millions), and too many people are constantly busy with very little time to have fun. I think women get overwhelmed with options and either settle for one or retreat to “focus on themselves.” It’s still better than a lot of places, but maybe only because of the sheer number of options.

Yeah, Scottsdale can be a weird place. Lots of single “$30K millionaire” guys trying to get laid as they blow half their salary, when that doesn’t work out they get pretty testy. It can turn into more of an aggressive place than people having fun. A surprising amount of local women avoid that scene as even they get shoved around or yelled at by guys. It has its moments and can be a great spot, it’s just way more hit or miss than the Tier 1 cities mentioned

I work with a girl like this too. WFH and different teams, so there’s not a lot of proximity. She’s made it clear that she’s single and doesn’t really meet new people. At every happy hour she’s super flirty, touchy, and constantly making comments about how we need to hang out more, that I never invite her to do stuff, and things we should do. NYC can be a tough place to talk to anyone on the street. Even as a man, think of how many people on the street stop to ask for the time, directions, or money. The women I know in the city tell me lots of stories of men trying to get their attention to flirt with them on the street, so it makes sense that it’s harder to talk to them compared to other parts of the US, especially given the horror stories of muggings and worse. It’s usually easier in bars and clubs where people are going out to hav…

This is absolutely correct. I’ve realized recently that my own ego gets in my way the majority of the time, even with friends. A double text at least demonstrates your intent to try to get to know that person. The “if they wanted to, they would” concept works way better for women than men, because of the differences in directness of both. Most women are going to test, send hot and cold signals, and be looking for a reason not to go out with someone. You can expect some flakiness early on. In OP’…

Not currently living there but grew up in a smaller state. Get to know a good group of local guys and start going to bars and events with them. There aren’t a lot of bars so you’ll naturally start running into all the girls they went to high school or college with back in the day. Yeah it honestly gets to be a real problem when someone sees life that way. It’s how a friend of mine ended up taking roids with a heart condition. He didn’t even really see results either, the “results” mostly just make him look fatter. Not because of not chasing, but more because of not being decisive or trying to avoid seeming like I’m chasing. Most women not only want but expect a man to make the first move. That doesn’t mean that no woman will ever text or call you first, but it does mean that you’re probably expected to do that most of the time, especially with the ones who are not totally head over heels for you from day one. I think you’re seeing being a “boyfriend” as the antithesis of a fun, sexual guy that women want to be with. I used to be the same way, women would tell me I was a “long term guy” and I saw it as them essentially telling me I was like that “nice guy” in the movies who wears the woman down to date him, not an inherently fun or attractive person. I’ve always felt the same way. I have enough of an ego already without having to fuel it this way. It also feels like a great way to end up with a toxic girl who intermittently love bombs you. In general, the man is more likely to have greater enthusiasm early on and will lead the woman to that same level. Of course that doesn’t mean you should allow yourself to be yanked around and toyed with, but expecting women to treat you like Brad Pitt is like expecting a bank to treat you like Bill Gates,…

A few years older than you, and I’ve sometimes had the same problem. Two things I think to keep in mind. Remember that if you’re meeting people at parties, they’re probably pretty drunk and/or high. Even when they seem sober, they probably are not and their memory is almost certainly not at its best. It’s also often fairly dark and late at night, which impacts memory further. Not sure if they don’t remember you at all or just don’t remember your name, but either way, I wouldn’t take it too perso…

I have a friend who is super honest about it and tells them upfront that he isn’t looking for anything serious. Seems to work for him but he’s also getting with girls way below his league so there’s that. I usually tell them that if we really vibe as more than just a hookup then of course I’ll consider something more serious. Whatever you say, be direct and really mean it

A friend once told me you can be friendly, you can even have fun banter and vibes (joking around, not serious talk), but don’t be the one to take it into flirting territory in the office. It’s all well and good that lots of people meet through the office, but your energy and focus on meeting people should be put elsewhere

I’ve only met or dated a few Russian women, but something I’ve noticed is that they very much respect stoicism and what I’d call quiet confidence. They may try to change the time or location of a date and it’s okay to be flexible, but be sure to express your boundaries. Same thing with awkward silences. They can be very direct in how they express themselves, which sometimes leads to a natural stop in a conversation. Don’t treat that like it’s anything out of the ordinary either, often they’ll as…

I think it comes down to the girl too. I’ve been on both sides of that, moving too quickly and too slowly. Especially with dating apps, it’s harder to differentiate a girl in town for one more night and wanting some fun from a girl who wants to get to know you a little before going out with you unless they do that themselves. Their interest level generally will determine if they want to see you and how badly they’ll want to as well
/r/seduction14/08/21 07:55 PM

I think it depends. It’s kind of like how “bad” body language can mean that she’s bored and not interested or that she is nervous and does not want you to reject her. There’s nothing wrong with building rapport and comfort as long as you can also escalate and build real attraction alongside it

As a guy, being unprepared is almost the standard. You may even flirt back, but usually it’s so fleeting you don’t even think to do more. Then you realize a few days later that you totally could’ve gotten her number, asked her out, etc. had you just expected it or been a couple seconds faster

No idea why this is getting downvoted, it’s just facts. Losing chances isn’t always about your own game. Anyone can still lose out to an average or even somewhat ugly guy with zero game just because that guy has had a crush on her since they were 8, or they’re in the same friend group and friends push them together, or even she is insecure and doesn’t feel like you would take her seriously. Then add in any and all sorts of bad luck or timing and it becomes even more of a numbers game, even when …

Did you ever come back from the cold feet cutoff? Not OC but speaking from experience, not really. Once a woman brings up your location and it isn’t “oh I live right near there,” things get way more difficult. I’ve seen this from 15 miles to 1500. I remember once traveling a state or two away and seeing I matched on tinder with a girl there once I got back home. The girl was too attractive not to at least message, and we ended up having maybe the best tinder conversation I’ve ever had. I was eve…

I think it’s more about the consequences of it. You could get in trouble for making a move if the woman isn’t interested, or even if she is more interested than you and you cut things off/hurt her it’s also a risk. The people I know who got together at work tended to start out more as friends who kind of always knew there was something there and ultimately got closer and started a serious relationship then. Unless you’re young and not trying to make a career out of what you’re doing (potentially…

It’s more subconsciously that they notice it. But you’re right, women want someone who is in shape, that doesn’t mean you need to be absolutely shredded like a lot of guys think. Being obsessed with it actually seems to be a negative for a lot of guys I know. I have a friend who works out religiously for at least 2-3 hours per day (on top of a regular job) and then laments that no one wants to date him. At that point his relationship is with the gym, I can’t blame any woman for not wanting to go…

Agreed. When I’m out in the real world, I realize I’m just not that crazy about that many women. I can go on social media and see 1000 hot women and think I must not be that picky, but in reality I’ll get turned off pretty easily by some things no matter how objectively attractive the woman is. It’s always worth it to approach and talk to people who you think are attractive, but actual chemistry is a lot harder to find, and takes time sometimes too
/r/seduction23/07/21 04:27 PM

I’ve noticed the same thing. Fun people who make friends with everyone, but a lot of them are really low energy when they think about dating. They make pretty decent wingwomen though because they make friends so easily

The apps have figured out how to make more money, and it’s not about helping match people together. Also with Covid, I think there was an influx of people and the apps always have more men than women on there so it likely skewed that even further. Plus I think women have gotten sick of it except for the validation and don’t give much thought or time to it unless they’re looking for quick hookups (these types are usually less attractive girls from what I’ve seen too)

Don’t let perfection be the enemy of the good. Like you said, if you protect your ego and try to be perfect, you’ll stall, hesitate, and lose out. That guy who doesn’t hesitate to talk to her might be worse than you in every conceivable way but he’s more likely to get the girl because you didn’t talk to her and he did

I did this once and I definitely regret it, it ended up working out the opposite way of how I intended. It sounds like you most want sex in a relationship, make sure you find someone who really cares about you and demonstrates that. If you communicate your wants and needs to a good partner, they will want to fulfill those and provide for you

Not sure if you can recover, sounds like a common tinder conversation. I’m guessing you tried to play it cool and get to know her a little bit before making moves. Problem with dating apps is when you do this, you come off too boring a lot of times, but then if you make your move right away, you’re too much too soon. It’s unwinnable. Meeting in person is always easier. If you absolutely have to try again, see what she’s up to and try to make plans. Otherwise, find the next girl who’s better than…

Do things to stay relevant until you see her IRL. Post stories, send her something if you think it’s funny, comment on her stories. Don’t go overboard but just be someone she is aware of and remembers. Try to get her phone number from snap too, women will give their snap to a lot of guys, and they’ll even respond to probably 2/3 of the guys hitting them up on there, but their phone number is more exclusive. When I’ve actually pulled girls from snap the first thing they do is give me their number

Lots of it is dating apps. The other element is being really into your city and fitting the vibe/being able to show her a good time. The guy who is going to be a fun tour guide/fwb in Miami is probably very different from that guy in New York or Chicago. If you’re trying to meet people when you’re on your own vacation, I’d suggest getting around to be social, asking people where they’re from/getting to know people, and then make sure you find out the fun local spots as well

Works out religiously and is absolutely ripped, has a good job, fairly charismatic, and even has some social media stardom. I hadn’t hung out with him as much for about a year until the past few months (COVID and I was in a relationship that got toxic), and in the meantime he had built up this roster/rotation of women he was hooking up with. Don’t think about how attractive she is, think of things that make her normal. Overthinking creates anxiety as well as convincing yourself that that person is above you, almost like a celebrity. I’ve met plenty of women who I’ve heard stories about, or seen them on social media, and they seem like this perfect, super hot girl. It’s why I think the Law of Attraction works for some people and not at all for others. If you see it as “I’m attracting this goal, I’m working towards it daily, and I’m going to get it by improving,” you’re substantially more likely to achieve it than if you say “I’m attracting this, it’s coming for me, it’ll come any day now, so let me wait for it.” It’s all about mindset. What you should do about it is presume she isn’t into you and move onto another girl or something else to preoccupy you. As far as the reasons, if she didn’t tell you, it could be anything. Don’t worry about that. I’ve had women cancel dates because they forgot they had something going on which ended up being legitimate and we went out a little bit later. I’ve met very few women on there that weren’t BPD, or some other form of mentally ill. Such a problem that I’ve noticed too. The “normal” hot girls tend to be super dry because they have 8 million matches, then you’ll be hitting it off with a girl who seems legit interested and find out she’s got some unresolved mental issues. Gone out with too many of these and do not recommend. Fun for a bit but the fun usually dies out fast and they’re vindictive and spiteful after things end

She sounds like a person who wouldn’t be satisfied no matter what. Imagine you were interested but just not trying so hard and she blew up your phone/tried to get you to ask her out, so you did. Instagram is not a great medium to begin with to talk to people. The newer layout of Instagram means notifications (e.g. followers) are hidden away from the main page, and if she does not follow you, messages go to message requests. So even when she checks her DMs, there is a separate page (probably with 1000 bots and thirsty dudes) where your message would be. Because of this, even if she was interested, your odds of being seen and recognized are low. Besides that, she will likely feel “above” …

Agreed. The principles are good especially for so many dudes who go overboard the opposite way (way too needy) but sticking to it like a script will come off as forced. A couple of buddies and I just got back on it again for the first time in a couple years for various reasons and we all had this observation too. Also that women are putting much less effort now. Very few even have bios and most that do are one boring sentence long maximum. It kinda makes sense with the pandemic. The line between persistence and neediness gets blurred a lot. I like to think about women who will post the thirsty DMs they get on social media. And some guy who she doesn’t follow back has DM’d her like 50 times with no response (not even a like). This is the best comment I’ve seen so far. I think for guys just starting out it’s good to see themselves as the “prize,” but taken to an extreme it isn’t necessarily healthy. If you get a woman’s number it’s perfectly normal for her to ignore or reject you if you ask her to come over right away without building any sort of rapport first. BDSM and rougher stuff is flooding into the mainstream now, and more girls are getting into it. A lot of women feel “in control” being completely dominated. This is the essence of real game right here. The real reason that abundance mentality and success with women leads to more success is because it teaches you that you are already good enough. Learn to be comfortable with silence. Awkward silences will happen in between conversations, and on a date (or with a new person in general) you notice them, but they also happen in all of your conversations in your daily life. IMO a lot of it has to do with the allure of not knowing. Think of a Hail Mary in football, a last second shot in basketball, etc. The moment of greatest interest is the one in which things hang in the balance, when we don’t know what will happen but have a heightened emotional response. If this fails, I’m devastated, I lost. If it works, I’m elated. Same concept with women. This reminds me of when I’ll be on the Instagram explore page and see a girl’s photo and my girl friends will be like “She’s cute you should DM her!!” That’ll be a no. Obviously I wouldn’t be as creepy as dude in the photo, but I don’t want to end up on some list

I have the same exact problem as you. I know it comes off beta to say this, but I wonder if I come off as a bother some times by hitting them up, whether it’s a girl I’m interested in or even some of my best friends, because it’s always me reaching out. I don’t believe it, but of course it crosses your mind. When a girl tells me about a problem at work, or a test she’s stressing over, am I supposed to follow up about it even if she doesn’t make an effort to hit me up later? I truly do want to ca…

Just bring up getting together. While you’re talking, talk about food and see if she brings up a place she likes and ask her out there, or other fun date ideas. Or you could just say “we gotta meet up sometime” while you’re talking to her. She’ll say yes or at least let you know she’s interested in seeing you if you do that. If she has time to Snapchat you all the time she probably has time to meet you too

Don’t worry too much about the conversation dying out. Honestly just ask girls to hang out at a certain point, especially if you genuinely enjoy talking to them. Even girls who are head over heels for you might not make an effort to keep conversations going always. That’s why I believe in assuming attraction and going for it when you think there’s a real shot, but you also have to be honest with yourself when it comes down to it.

I’ve seen this mentioned a few times over the past 10 days or so, but to me it comes down to knowing that you provide value and treating each interaction with the approach of “I’m the catch, therefore I’m bringing value and joy to this girl by talking to her.” I’m still learning it all and improving, but I think a lot of it comes down to outcome indifference, having other options, and understanding when to back off vs. pursue further. I’ve noticed that oftentimes, girls will have conversations w…

He’s charismatic, rich, successful, well-dressed, and flaunts it. Of course women like that. I also think it partly has to do with hive mind. Women on twitter talk all the time about how hot he is, and other women see women swooning over him and feel like he’s more high value than he already is. You see that with guys like Timothee Chalamet as well. Fame and money are two of the most attractive things there are

West coast guy here. Can confirm, although people tell me I dress and act like an East Coast guy. It makes sense though. Most west coast people I know tend to be activity-obsessed, so your profile should reflect you traveling the world, surfing, hiking, and make you look like the perfect influencer type. East coast is more city-oriented in my experience, so if you’re a fashionable guy who looks like he knows/goes to the popping areas of town that’ll be enough for a lot of girls

Depends on the guy. To me, hot is the lazier compliment. I call celebrities or random girls I wouldn’t even want to talk to hot. A cute girl to me is someone I’d actually consider making a move on. A girl who is hot is fun to follow on Instagram, a girl who is cute is someone I’d actually enjoy taking out

It’s definitely true to an extent. Women are attracted to guys that have loads of options. I constantly see tweets complaining about how “every guy is talking to 35 girls” which of course isn’t true in the least, but the guys who are talking to a ton of women have the most options and probably the most success. Women want a guy who could have any girl but will choose them. When I was in my last relationship a couple years back I was easily 2 points lower on a 1-10 looks scale, my personality was…

Do you plan on going to college/finding a job that takes you out of your town? Quite honestly that is the easiest solution. The moment you go somewhere where no one knows your parents and your history, your fear and restraint of saying the wrong thing will drop and it’ll be easier to learn and have success with women. The problem with small towns is if you aren’t a big shot already, it’s very difficult if not impossible to become one. You can “Gatsby” them by coming back after a while with money…

You should ease your way into it. Talk to people (literally anyone) in line at Starbucks, at stores in the mall, and other places where it’s pretty normal to talk to someone for a minute or so and you’ll notice that people don’t find you weird or creepy. You also get good at making observations which you can use to start conversations and have more fun with them. Doing this builds your confidence and makes it more natural, and you’ll know better what to say. I have too many friends who are girls…

Breakups always suck but I think your specific struggles are two-fold. Firstly, when anyone leaves your life, whether you stop speaking with them or they die, it’s going to take some time to adjust and center yourself with it. You’ve only been apart since November, which is a decent amount of time but probably only enough to let the initial sting go away (and I doubt having the holidays right then made things any easier). Don’t rush anything, let yourself naturally evolve without her. Secondly, …

This is super important and honestly I struggle with it a lot. I learned in a psych class that there was a study where they introduced a person to a stranger and told the person that the stranger held a negative or positive view of them based on things told to the stranger. The two had a conversation, and at the end, the stranger told researchers whether they had a negative or positive view of the person. The stranger had actually never been told anything beforehand, but had a positive view of t…

Just yesterday my (female) roommate told me I need to respond back faster to girls, because my recent problems with them being so wishy-washy over text and not getting second dates is that I often only text back every 3-4 hours. I understand trying to be prompt to respond, but I’m busy and sometimes I’m tired and not in the mood to text back. I don’t really understand the idea of “if I stop responding tonight, he better text me tomorrow to show he cares, then he better respond every five minutes…

I’m like you and tend to overthink these things, but this seems more straightforward than you think. This girl has acted interested in you. Girls who like you will make it easy for you. In this situation, I’d just start out with something simple. Ask how she’s doing, continue the flirting, make a joke about something in her profile you hadn’t talked about before, just something light. Assuming you have the same text chemistry as before, after a few snaps just ask her out. It’s easier to get to k…
