Men do not age like wine.Is it possible that, just in general, healthy people age better, but all aging kinda stinks. It does seem that men and women "peak" at different times and men's tend to be higher but I don't that this is indicative of a larger trend later. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/10/18 07:51 AM

Why are men out of touch with what women want.Could be. Made this comment a few months ago so my perspective is changing a little. As far as unnatractive dad's go what you're looking at is years after the couple met. As far as the 20% rule goes it's more like that's what is aimed for not necessarily achieved and the way I see it, most people settle. I am interested to hear your perspective though | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/03/18 06:14 PM

Don’t use social media , men don’t need to be (((social)))Depends on how. I have family I like and family I don't. For the family members that are toxic I avoid them but my brothers, cousins and a few aunts and uncles are all people I get along with well. I hope you aren't in a bad spot with family but if you are it may be worth looking up deFOOing. I don't know your situation, and this isn't a light choice but in the end what is best for you. | /r/MGTOW | 06/12/17 05:39 PM

But, babies can't give consent.Nobody has a problem if an adult man opts into getting circumcised. The issue is that male babies undergo an elective surgery that society deems acceptable because they are male. | /r/MGTOW | 19/11/17 06:53 AM

Strong and independent woman blames men for hook up culture and men abandoning marriage in drovesWe would need it if that's the direction we wanted to go but I think society has its own trajectory now. No going back. | /r/MGTOW | 13/11/17 11:12 AM
Strong and independent woman blames men for hook up culture and men abandoning marriage in drovesI didn't get the impression that she was placing all the blame on men. Some do for sure but she makes a point to say that women demanded to be "equal" to men and therefore have lost status as the fairer sex. | /r/MGTOW | 13/11/17 07:55 AM
Strong and independent woman blames men for hook up culture and men abandoning marriage in drovesI'm not getting the impression that she is placing the blame on men as much as societal forces. While she does call the men who won't marry "Peter Pan"s she seems to say that it's women's fault for not holding men to a standard. Here are some highlights: The scientific breakthrough that allowed women to “play the field” like a man and empower her to be equal to a man has backfired spectacularly for marriage-minded women. Economically independent women don’t need to marry for financial support, m… | /r/MGTOW | 13/11/17 07:52 AM

I had a very puzzling dating experience for my last date, can MGTOW explain what just happened?Well I'm sorry about that. As far as insight into dating this may not be the correct sub. Maybe r/asktrp. The folks in this sub usually suggest that classical gentlemanliness isn't so great because women may take advantage. Hence the "going their own way" part. | /r/MGTOW | 13/11/17 02:22 AM

“Every Young Man Should be the Hero of His Own Story”A hero doesn't have to be superman. A hero can be man who does the right thing. A hero can be a man who sculpts his body from overweight to in shape. A hero can be a man who volunteers time at a soup kitchen. A hero can be a man who is part of the neighborhood watch. Just because you aren't superman doesn't mean you shouldn't strive to do better. | /r/MGTOW | 13/11/17 01:53 AM
What is causing MGTOW to grow? The realization that the benefits of serious courting are diminished, on both sides nevertheless. Individuals can be more self sufficient because of technology. You don't need a housewife when you have a dishwasher, laundry machine, and automatic house cleaning. Meals can be made easier with crockpots and pressure cookers. Sex is accessed easier with tinder and similar apps along with no societal taboo against premarital sex. Plus the risk of divorce, especially with high rates in the US. | 1 | The percentage of men who never married. 1980 & 2015. Thoughts?Whether or not their standards are too high is irrelevant, they still desire marriage. Perhaps not. The desire for marriage is there, that seems to be the case. BUT if women's standards are too high that would play a role in declining marriage rate. | /r/MGTOW | 06/11/17 09:05 PM
The percentage of men who never married. 1980 & 2015. Thoughts?I can only speculate but: The most common reason is to go to college and get a career started. These women still want to have a family though. This was not the case in 1980? It appears that this is true. but while the trend evens out later on college degrees become more common for both men and women | /r/MGTOW | 06/11/17 09:00 PM

The percentage of men who never married. 1980 & 2015. Thoughts? What I think it speaks to is the obseletion of the social construct of marriage. They (women) don't secure early access to resources - fair enough - but what then happens is that on the other side things are different. Almost as though they've been tricked. | /r/MGTOW | 06/11/17 12:20 PM

The percentage of men who never married. 1980 & 2015. Thoughts?if they see it. I am not convinced that a modern 19yo woman sees that her SMV is going down in a few years. | /r/MGTOW | 06/11/17 11:59 AM
The percentage of men who never married. 1980 & 2015. Thoughts?Props on delivering - here's your upvote. I don't like when news outlets don't cite sources but I'll take it at face value for this. It looks like women want to get married, generally around 25 to 27 - I'll come back to this. For reference on US census data that I linked: For 25 year olds. In 1980 ~27% had never married. In 2015 ~71% hadn't. My inclination is to say that women want to marry later than their counterparts in 1980. I don't have anything to back this up at the moment but I will look… | /r/MGTOW | 06/11/17 11:55 AM
The percentage of men who never married. 1980 & 2015. Thoughts?I don't know about obvious, but it does seem that that is the case. The way I see it there are forces (possibly more) going on. Men are not seeing the benefit of marriage. Less successful marriages (inferred from higher divorce rates), more court favouring toward women and low marriage success (men who carry bags at the mall, etc). The contributing force is that women want to extend their youth so they put off getting married until later and then their SMV is lower. I think these two trends toge… | /r/MGTOW | 06/11/17 11:45 AM
The percentage of men who never married. 1980 & 2015. Thoughts?Toxic females literally redpilling more and more men at an earlier age. You mean the environment that men have is becoming more apparent? Women seem to be blissfully unaware of these drastic changes occurring. I am not sure that women see the trend as bad. I think many see it as liberating to not be expected marry as early. edit: bad formatting | /r/MGTOW | 06/11/17 11:38 AM

The percentage of men who never married. 1980 & 2015. Thoughts? It looks like it already is flattening maybe levelling around 17% for the highest age group. | /r/MGTOW | 06/11/17 11:35 AM
Why are men out of touch with what women want.80/20 rule it looks like. The why is that you don't need that many men to make another generation. Most men are lower tier. Not bottom, in fact many are average, but they aren't the ideal. So women aim for a top 20% guy. And since its a supply side market they get it. As for the why men are not good at knowing what women want its because men are not women. That may be it. Men know how to be men very well but be oblivious to what women want, they haven't needed to know. You might say "well women … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 06/11/17 11:28 AM

The percentage of men who never married. 1980 & 2015. Thoughts? So the shift from 50% happens at 23 to 24 in 1980 whereas the 2015 shift happens at 30 to 31. I agree this means big changes. IF the trend continues that mark will be pushed even higher. Maybe the median age of marriage for men becomes 35. I'm not sure. | /r/MGTOW | 06/11/17 11:14 AM
The percentage of men who never married. 1980 & 2015. Thoughts?Serious post. The data that I posted indicates that both men and women are waiting longer for marriage. It may very well be that the main cause is men opting out but I have seen an increasing trend of women wanting to wait to get married. Now maybe part of this is that women wait until they are near or at the wall to do so, but I wonder if that is the main cause. Do you have stats that show men opting out is the main cause? Genuinely curious. | /r/MGTOW | 06/11/17 11:10 AM
The percentage of men who never married. 1980 & 2015. Thoughts?Try mousing over the charts too for exact percentages. The chart for women looks similar Its looking like this is a trend for both men and women. I'm curious as to what exactly would cause this. | /r/MGTOW | 06/11/17 10:34 AM

TRP is 'You can't win if you don't play' and MGTOW is 'You can't lose if you don't play'I've seen some of that too, no doubt. The common thread between both communities (in theory) is to place the focus on one's own goals, irrespective of how women might influence this. In this regard I'd say this is the most important part. | /r/MGTOW | 30/10/17 06:36 PM
TRP is 'You can't win if you don't play' and MGTOW is 'You can't lose if you don't play'TRP offers nothing to the end of helping focus male energy after swallowing the pill. This isn't quite the impression that I get. Certainly alot of the appeal of TRP is the ability to attract women but the basis there, from what I see, is self improvement. The lack of a set end goal is a result of life not really having an end goal - just the process of improving the aspects of your life that the individual finds important. I definitely see value in both subs though and the common thread is that… | /r/MGTOW | 30/10/17 06:16 PM
