It’s better to make a move confidently and go from there if failure, but you still did better than waiting forever. Failing fast is a good approach so you don’t linger too long on it. You’re right it’s never too late though. You can red pill it through your 50s and relationships can come and go at any age so keep working on yourself. I’m the same age as you. I would rather die alone than be with a girl like that. When I go out partying now, I try to limit myself to only cash and I only bring the amount I'm good with spending (~30/night). It forces me to be creative, and sometimes I've told women, "let's go to 7-eleven bar" and they laugh. Isolate and then bring them to your place after.

And if I’m using foreign currency then I just convert on the fly and add it in. Another pro is not linking your bank to a third party. This is my first month deliberately tracking and I’m surprisingly far below my budget in South Korea. I estimate my savings rate at like 70-90%

I use the Numbers/excel sheet app on iphone. After every purchase i take out my phone and add a row of the new expense and categorize it. Each purchase i make with a credit card sends me a push notification so it's really pretty simple to do, even in foreign countries.

I took a year off from a consistent gym routine since I’ve been traveling a lot, picked up being a vegetarian for a month and also experimented with fasting. My lifts were cut in half.
