I only ever see women fawning over beards - there’d have to be a huge impartial study conducted to know for certain

I mean, it's probably not the same group of women saying those things. It's not like it's same bunch of 50 women saying one thing and doing another, is it? A lot of women like beards, too - sometimes step outside of your own bias

The reason for not as many lesbian bars and clubs as those for gay men isn’t related to the subject you’re talking about. It’s because those kinds of often hyper-sexual ‘clubby’ environments don’t appeal to many lesbians in the same way that they appeal to gay men, and often lesbians or queer women have other interests and other ways of meeting. I’m also not sure where you’re looking, but there are plenty of queer women communities.

As you’re autistic and likely struggle with understanding social cues/norms, I’ll explain this to you. Asking someone what they like to DO is asking them what they like DOING. They’re asking if you like going to the gym, if you like hiking, if you like live music, if you like walking. They’re NOT asking you what you like to collect. This may be why answering this has gotten you blocked, as you said has happened. Next time just give a more general answer, until you’re closer to the person, then y…

Date men.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/23 02:34 PM

Where did this idea that women like abs come from? It’s other men that care about this. Women don’t. Have you not seen the hysteria surrounding Timothee Chalamet and his ilk?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/23 02:24 PM

There is no advanced society in which women have held the advantage economically or socially. Please pick up a book, just this once Oh, and it’s “religion”, not “relegion”

You don’t need to be a “professional psychologist” to make an observation. With all due respect, the fact that you’ve responded in the way that you have, means you probably feel personally attacked by the statement, as you’re quite reactive to it. Also, before you start on ME, I actually have a professional qualification in psychoanalysis and mental disorders, so..

Are you Asian?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/23 02:21 AM

Yes it is. Women don’t usually confide in men because, surprise surprise, it’s men doing it. That’s why you’ve never been privy to hearing about it happening.

That’s not a worldwide trope, sounds American. So, not as widespread as the Nice Guy trope.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/22 03:17 PM

Thousands of men are acting like this, to the point that ‘nice guy’ has become a trope, a subreddit, and has spawned countless IG and Twitter pages where screenshots of these men’s rejection meltdowns are shared

I said the comments, not the actual content. There are also several Twitter accounts who’s content is actual screenshots of real conversations between men and women… I’ve been observing it for a while, it does exist. Either way, that was just an example I offered you so that you could see this stuff, as you said you hadn’t seen it before. I can’t provide you any other proof of it, can I? Lol. Regardless, The troubled man/I can fix him trope is very real and very very common.

I don't know any woman who has done this. It's extremely common, you know. All the women I know are involved with guys like that. And you only have to look at any comment section on IG of some troubled guy to see "I can fix him" comments x100 There are hundreds of female dating coaches offering advice to women in these situations. Google 'LovingMeAfterWe' to see how popular this stuff has become

I absolutely wish women would collectively stop putting up with this shit. So do I. And also this reply makes me realise I'm not imagining this stuff, lmao

I didn't say that doesn't occur, however this particular post is about women dating "toxic" men. You're welcome to make your own thread addressing that. Tbh I see that topic all the time, and wanted to discuss something else.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/22 06:52 AM
3

Tbh it was late here when I wrote this, and my words change, I'm human. My general point is that I don't think there should be this "men are trash" narrative, when there is a LOT of enabling going on by the women themselves, so it is partly their fault for enabling it, because men then learn that they can continue and repeat these behaviours and suffer no real consequence. That's my point. If some women were more assertive and non-accepting of this, perhaps these "trashy men" would feel inspired…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/22 06:50 AM
2

i agree with your points. i think my general point is not understanding the “men are trash” narrative then, if people want to go for bad boys that’s cool, but why publicly belittle that type of man, if they’re actively choosing to go for that type. idk
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/22 04:07 AM
4

I agree!
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/22 03:02 AM
3

I’m not a guy, if you read the post properly. But thanks for sharing your opinion, I guess. Also, many of the women I know are seeking emotional connections, not sexual ones. Sex, for a lot of women, is only part of what they’re looking for.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/22 03:00 AM
1

She definitely does, I agree
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/22 02:58 AM
6

I’m not a dude, if this was aimed at me or the point I’ve raised. I also don’t think women are to BLAME, but I do think there’s a great deal of enabling going on.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/22 02:57 AM
2

I probably phrased it wrong. I mean that some women are enabling, by staying with the person and continuing to engage as normal with them. By leaving, the person is confronted with their behaviour and the consequences. At the same time, leaving is the best thing for the woman. I didn’t mean that the woman leaves with the purposeful intention of helping the person to self-reflect; more that it’s a side-effect of the woman leaving.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/22 02:55 AM
3

It's not on women to "fix men" as you seem to suggest Hmmm. I don't think dumping a man for bad behaviour and forcing change and self-reflection is a woman fixing a man. To me, a woman fixing him would be to stay with him and keep trying to change him. Surely losing someone through your own shitty behaviour is better (in the long run) for self-development, no? Leaving him is better for the woman - which is what I'm getting at. Staying in the relationship and being affectionate and nice to a pers…

5

I definitely agree that no-one should be excused for shitty behaviour - at the core of it, it is that person's responsibility. I'm not trying to suggest women are to BLAME, but I think there's just a lot of enabling going on
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/22 01:11 AM
7

Totally agree on the attachment point. But it even seems be on things that aren't related to emotional availability - for example, there's an influencer on Twitter named Oloni who gets women to DM her their anonymous dating horror stories. The things that are commonly sent - in their hundreds - in are men with bad hygiene, stains on the sheets, in the house, odour problems, etc. The women in these stories often reveal they've been dating these men for a while, too! It's a very common thread, she…

No, I just respect my sanity and peace, and don’t want to talk to you anymore - you seem like a horrible person. But whatever helps you feel better.

Oh. One of your previous posts was how you think victims of DV and SA should be blamed for it happening to them. This explains what sort of person you are, and I won’t waste any more time engaging with you. Lmao.

I came here to converse like an adult and not a bratty child; I don’t do online arguments, especially when insulting phrases like “people like you” are used, and you’re unable to engage without being rude and projecting your anger onto those who reply to you. After six years of undergraduate and postgraduate study, you learn to question and check the accuracy of things. There’s nothing wrong with doing that. Sorry that I don’t just accept some random opinion as fact, or that, as most academics d…

Well to be honest, if you are trying to make a certified claim, you do need a source. An opinion is not a source. If your post was “I THINK women etc etc” then no one would be asking for sources. You cannot use a personal anecdote as evidence of what you think all women think.

In a survey of over 1,000 women, conducted by Glamour in 2016 So - conducted by Glamour, a women’s magazine. That will obviously be a certain demographic, firstly. Secondly, only just over 1,000 women - that is a small number. Thirdly, in 2016. Attitudes may have or may not have changed much since then. While yes it’s a study and can be used as a source, you have to consider the above limitations. Also, this study would have to be replicated in different dynamics and group sizes, again and again…

Most of the time when I've used "I have a boyfriend" on guys, the response is "so he doesn't let you have friends?" - it doesn't stop a lot of men. I've told them I'm gay and this doesn't stop them, either. The only way to stop them seems to be actually entertaining it, sometimes even taking their number - just so you can physically get away from them

I agree that men do those things in heterosexual relationships, from what I know about men dating women. There do seem to be very clear cut roles in that respect. When it comes to the tasks you’ve described - for example let’s go with driving a partner around (expecting a chauffeur, as you put it). It usually seems that it’s just whoever happens to have a car, or if there are two cars, again it’s just whatever. There’s not usually one partner expected to do it over the other, if you see what I m…

“when they become lesbians” lmao - i literally just said many queer people don’t subscribe to gendered social norms, that answered your query already. also many lesbians simply don’t think about men, men are not centred, lesbians generally don’t think in those gendered terms. different expectations in relationships. also, “when they stop behaving like heterosexual women”? your mindset seems very set in stone so i don’t think i’m willing to take on the task of trying to explain same sex relations…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/22 07:38 PM

Lot of heteronormative themes you’re projecting onto lesbian/same sex relationships. They’re simply different from heterosexual relationships and many of us don’t subscribe to gendered social norms so the relationships are just different

Studies being flawed doesn’t make something “pseudoscience”. It means the studies were flawed and that there’s room for more research. Most studies are flawed in some way.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/22 10:56 AM

Either way, social and economic implications in any set of studies or theories doesn’t make it “pseudoscience”

You have no idea how much I know about it, lmao. You’ve ‘researched it extensively’ - where? YouTube? I have two First Class Honours in two degrees (BA and MA) based around psychoanalysis. I also studied Cognitive Psychology for a year before I changed subjects, so… next time stop assuming you know more than someone else, when you have no idea what someone online has done in their life, lmao You can literally find several peer-reviewed journal articles showing similar findings within behaviours …
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/22 10:50 AM

Attachment Theory is definitely not pseudoscience, lmao. It has been researched for decades and is scientifically proven, with many forms of evidence. It also has findings that are similar to those of neuroscience, in terms of brain functionality. Let’s stop writing things off as ‘pseudoscience’ just because you don’t understand them/don’t know much about them 💀

I’m explaining that it is as significant as removing a penis - obviously not in the literal sense, but in the sexual pleasure sense - as it seems that people in these comments don’t seem to understand that it is worse than circumcision.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 02:57 PM

No, most clitoral mutilation is not that at all. It’s the removal of the entire clitoris and the sewing shut of the vagina, which is often painfully opened by the groom and his family, sometimes publicly, on their wedding day. It’s a historically misogynistic and frightfully barbaric practice performed on young children, without any pain relief, often being held down by their mothers and performed by elders of the community (not doctors) while they scream in pain, in place to keep women pure for…

Fair enough, but cutting off a woman’s clitoris is literally like cutting off an entire penis. Well, in fact it is that - the clitoris and penis both begin as the same thing during embryo development… so not the same thing as the removal of foreskin - although both practices are not OK, obviously. FGM and removal of clitoris is usually accompanied by the sewing shut of the vagina, which often leads to miscarriages, blood infections due to the inability to menstruate, and death. Usually performed…

You’d probably benefit from therapy; you’re projecting an awful lot. It sounds like you had one or two experiences with specific women, and have now decided all women are like the women you were involved with (Candy Crush reference, very specific, many women and PEOPLE don’t play that much, anymore). I’m sure you’re in fantastic shape and always will be, as you age /s
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 11:01 AM

Don’t they cut the foreskin off for cleanliness reasons (not suggesting I agree)? Cutting the clitoris off removes a crucial part of a woman’s anatomy, and isn’t the same thing.

You saw one (1) post about ‘women thinking men that go to yoga are weirdos’ and you think it applies to every single woman on the planet? Also, my ex - a woman - had a hobby she’d do all the time on her own/with her friends. Rifle shooting at the range.

A hobby group and a gym are not the same thing, when it comes to approaching people; why is it so difficult to comprehend that some people do not wish to be ogled at/approached at the gym while they’re drenched in sweat/having some time to themselves, most likely with their earphones in? Not comparable at all.

They’re joking. “I can fix him” is a popular trope in younger internet users. It’s not serious, and you’re taking it too literally, reading into it way too deeply.
