You say that, but I think it's mainly due to the fact that women aren't particularly useful in a war. Sure, countries could mandate a sort of civil service / non-combat military training for women, but it's largely unnecessary. National defence is not something I care if it's equal or not.

Its less wild when you consider that nobody has been (based on records) surgically sterilized due to this. Mainly because HRT usually renders you sterile anyway and stuff like intrautero contraception counts as proof of sterility. I could see some aspects of traditional masculinity like hustle culture or needing to "make a name" for oneself being interpreted as narcissism that the world owed them some margin of success just for being male, but that doesn't seem to wrap the whole issue up. I would in principle be for it, but it probably wouldn't go well. For one, many places have 'safe haven' laws that allow you to drop off an infant no questions asked and this would obviously conflict with that. Secondly I'd be worried about where the money actually goes, many foster homes/orphanages already unfortunately don't spend all the money the government gives them for the child's benefit. Thirdly, abortion and parent's rights should get fixed before such a law could even be proposed.

Yeah, 'gaslighting' as a term has seen a tremendous inflation. But yes, some times especially gynecological problems tend to get chucked down as bad periods or hormonal issues.
