This makes no sense. I'm 45F and married an dall my family members and friends in my 20s and 30s got married to someone. Like, all of them. For some reason in my 40s I've happened to make friends with women who would like to be coupled up but aren't. (I guess the reason is going to my local gym for weightlifting and Zumba classes; most of the other members are women like me, and many are single). But most of them WERE coupled up in the past, like in their 20's and 30's, and either got divorced o…

At least you admit that you let the leopards eat your face. Your fellow Americans do NOT thank you for your ill-advised vote. Many of us had the foresight to realize he'd be awful for all of us all around.

I mean, most of modern history has benefitted men so why is it so bad to try to switch to a system that might benefit women for once?

It doesn't sound like you like being alone, but rather that you're protesting too much. People who look down and talk down about others, especially about a whole group of people (women over 35) who are in the same boat as they are (divorced, unable to have healthy relationships, etc.), are usually just trying to make themselves feel better. I wish you peace but I hope you examine your inner bias because it's probably stemming from self-loathing.

I don't really agree but I have no point of reference. I'm 45F and very happy in my marriage and most of my friends are either happily married, or happily single. I do have two friends who would like to be in relationships but the men they date are always awful and they are not willing to settle for that so they would rather be single than date down. I don't know anyone who is miserable or lonely but I think like attracts like. TBH you sound quite broken and unhappy yourself since you are divorc…

I have a high sex drive and I've always enjoyed a lot of sex. Now, I just enjoy a lot of sex with only one person (my husband). I think it's dumb of guys to want some virgin who avoided sex before marriage and then expect her to love it and be all about it just for him.

This is exactly why patriarchy is bad for men too.

Why do you think that the only reason human beings would talk to each other is to solve some problem? Relationships are NOT business deals or Board meetings. They are in part about providing support, camaraderie, and communication for all the good and bad parts of life that partners can weather and face together. But since you're so quick to classify what women think they're talking to you about as a "genuine problem" as "some dumb easily solvable bs," then you already have your mind made up and…

Why not both? Life is not all just sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes there are obstacles and struggles or things that annoy us. Why can't we bond with our partners over the bad along with the good? Why can't we bond with our other human beings who happen to be physically present in the same location with us in that moment, over expressing how hot out it is today or some other comment about the weather, especially in the context of just talking with our neighbors like that commenter meant? Or even…

Argh, that's so frustrating. I'm new to this sub and I'm not sure how I even found it. I think some thread was recommended to me on my main page. (I also wasn't sure what flair I should have given myself but it was required so I just picked something kind of close to what I think it all means. I'm definitely not a "red pilled" person but nor do I usually interact with or debate with people who are so I'm not really even "anti-red pill" or "blue pill" but if I have to label myself, okay, then, I'…

FWIW, I think your experience with dating apps sounds normal for women. I have a couple friends who have been on there for years trying to find any kind of decent options when it comes to guys to seriously date. The two of them weren't mutual friends of mine/each other's, so they didn't know each other (until I eventually introduced them, lol) but they would both happen to tell me the same things about dating apps and it would make me really glad I wasn't on them! (I've been married since before…

My husband sent me an article about some study that found that venting isn't useful and actually makes things worse because it makes us feel temporarily good about dwelling on the bad stuff instead of focusing on solutions and the positive, or something like that. I wonder about the gender breakdown of the people in the study. Because I told him that for me, a good venting sesh always DOES make me feel better. I get that no one wants to wallow in negative emotions or only point out bad stuff all…

Big. I'm married now but in the past, whenever we reached the fooling around stage I'd feel around to get an idea of his size and if it wasn't big, I'd just not progress to the next stage/date. Because if it's not big I just don't enjoy it and Idk why I would want to do it if I didn't enjoy it. lol

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
