How did she act emotional? Was she a really happy person who smiled all the time? Was she easily angered? Was she sad and mopey? How do you emotionally support people?

and you dont think there is anything wrong with universities putting political pressure on students? is that freedom and democratic? It is wrong. I got knows for you. that applies to all government, all media, all platforms, all banks, all education. they are all run by the exact that shadow government. The system isn’t perfect. But I trust that voting isn’t rigged. Mainstream media is heavily biased in some respects. Banks have served me well through investments. I got lucky with my early educa…

that makes zero sense. I disagree. hive mind answer. No. your like "my friend is fat so I stopped eating to make him loose weight. " No. ”I take medications so that other people dont die" it's idiotic If that’s idiotic, then I’m happy to be an idiot. if that person isn't vaccinated or doesnt want to, Im not threatening anyone. Increased risk of transmission. this is marxist group rhetoric. Eww. I think there’s a Marxism political science class before my number theory class (Fermat’s Little Theor…

no, you support the current thing and popular opinion, like most people. Oh? Why was I pro-choice in terms of abortion when a lady in my community was shunned for being pro-choice in terms of abortion? Why am I against gender ideology even though I go to a university where it’s unwise to voice that aloud? you said you support mandates if the majority does That’s not what I said. makes zero sense. I disagree. if you dont want to die, take that shit if that makes you feel save. I got vaccinated because I want to help protect myself and others. how does me taking a shot change what happens to someone else? It prevents a person from getting Covid-19. If you don’t have Covid-19, you’re one less person to possibly transmit the virus to [insert person here], who you came in contact with recently. if the shot prevents deaths, it prevents deaths in people who got it. Yep. if I d…

that's extremely disturbing. It’s pro-democracy. it shows that you have no real opinion I supported vaccine mandates. If the referendum pointed to getting rid of vaccine mandates when I think we needed them, I would still want vaccine mandates. and not thought about it but are ready to support abolishing human rights if the collective wants to. No. I support human rights. I’d move to another country if the majority of our citizens were against human rights. It wouldn’t be a safe country to live …

I’m a big believer of short-term pain for long-term gain. If I had it my way, my country would have closed our borders immediately before the virus ever entered our country. Then we would have had on-comers quarantine before continuing life in the country.

I think you want to talk about “women in general” and not “woman anomalies”. I think you want to look at your version of “the bigger picture”. Is that your point? I don’t know. Yes, good luck to me.

the question is why do you support force medication? I don’t support forced medication. why would anyone do this? Control. If you fear illness, mediacate yourself. I don’t think medication is the answer to fear of illness. I think diet and exercise is the solution. I’m into living off the land in terms of hunting, fishing, foraging, and gardening. why force others to do the same when you can "protect" yourself regardless? I don’t do that. My one aunt and uncle are antivaxers. They’re crazy people though. Even one of their kids changed her name, moved away, and cut off the whole family just to be rid of them. Another person in my family doesn’t have the Covid-19 vaccine, but is otherwise fully vaccinated. She’s not an antivaxer. She just chose not to get vaccinated.

I was pro-vaccine mandates when they were a thing. I’ve always been pro-choice (abortion). There is no patriarchy in my country. I’m against gender ideology and identity politics. I’m against genital mutilation. I’m pro-hunting/fishing/foraging/gardening.

I specifically talk about myself because I can speak for myself. I don’t know what the fuck other humans are thinking. I’m not interested in psychology, sociology, and whatnot. I think there is a lot of bullshit in those areas of study. I view people as individuals. I don’t support identity politics.

I like the idea of physical and financial protection. I can protect myself, but it’s nice to have the protection of others too in those regards. For instance, my mom and dad would try to physically protect me and I’d try to physically protect them. My parents made sacrifices to financially protect my and their futures. I’m a financially independent university student (scholarship; high school jobs) so I’ve financially protected my parents from spending money on my further education and passions.…

What the fuck is neurodivergence nowadays? People are retroactively labelling fictional characters and historical figures of the past as neurodivergent. Particularly, they’re placing the labels on people who are highly intelligent and/or creative. I greatly value intelligence and creativity so perhaps I view the label of neurotypical as an insult. Mental illness is a red flag.

My grandparents, parents, sisters, and I are all atheists. Each set of grandparents were married. My parents are married. My second-eldest sister is married. In our family, we celebrate some Christian traditions because we think they’re meaningful in a non-religious way and fun. To us, marriage is a symbol for the ultimate kind of love between a husband and wife. Weddings are just super fun. Cool destinations. Fun dancing. Sweet gifts. Food and cake. The works. Well I work from home already , so you’re just saying I could continue what I’m doing but I can’t continue to call myself by my profession? You could still call yourself by your profession. But I can still ‘do’ my profession if it’s creative…I just can’t call myself that, or earn any money from it? It would appear that you could still earn money from something labelled as “creative”. It was a money question. You could have a career while being a stay-at-home-wife as long as it met certain criteria. Personally, I think any form of work can have a creative slant, thereby meeting the criteria. Otherwise, you could donate the money you earn and say you’re a philanthropist. To meet the dumb criteria laid out in this post, she’d just donate all the money she earns. Easy. They’re already billionaires. If she doesn’t want to work, then that’s fine too.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/22 09:39 PM
1

You’d be billionaires. You could hire a maid, handymen, gardeners, and more. My mom was a stay-at-home-mom. She didn’t literally stay at home. Even though my dad worked, he still cooked classic dinners, did chores, and fixed the house.

If the ring gets stuck on your finger, you get it cut off by a goldsmith and they’ll resize it for you (happened to my mom).

I inherited four rings from my maternal grandma: her diamond wedding set (wedding and engagement rings), an old hand cut diamond ring, and a very unique opal ring. Option 1 sounds better. Depending on what you mean by “no real skills”, I’d choose Option 1 or neither. I wouldn’t want to date someone who just lays on the couch all day. I’m going to list the problems I have with each one. Option 1: He has “no real skills”. What the fuck does that mean? Option 2: -no money pile -debt -spends money frivolously -doesn’t save money much

So it represents the ultimate kind of love, without actually being the ultimate kind of love? Exactly. ngl this sounds like a great defence for casual sex 8-) Since it isn't actually the ultimate kind of love And I can easily use it as a great defence against casual sex. It all depends on whether or not you care about the symbolism. I care about the symbolism.

Oxford dictionary definition for “symbol” provided by Google: a thing that represents or stands for something else, especially a material object representing something abstract.

Sex is a SYMBOL for the ultimate kind of love.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/22 10:32 AM

Let’s examine what I meant when I said, “I think sex is a symbol for the ultimate kind of love.” Being a symbol of the ultimate kind of love between soulmates, I think sex should be reserved for soulmates. Sex is not a requirement for soulmate status (the ultimate kind of love). However, I think soulmate status should be a requirement for sex.

”I think sex is a symbol for the ultimate kind of love" isn't a very good rationale for why you think those things are morally wrong. Why? I also doubt you ACTUALLY believe that. Why? When you're 80+ and no longer have a strong desire for sex, does that mean you no longer love your partner since you aren't showing them that 'ultimate kind of love' ? No.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/22 09:52 AM

I’m not the person you’ve been going back and forth with on here, but I’m going to jump in to give my two cents. I think sex work is morally wrong. I also think casual sex is morally wrong? Why do I think that? I think sex is a symbol for the ultimate kind of love. Obviously, I’m not going to ban people from having casual sex. I’m not going to shame people for having casual sex either. The same goes for sex work.

I’m a woman. If a woman does something bad, then she’s making herself look bad, not the entirety of women. There are numerous stereotypes I hate. I hate a lot of the seemingly “good” woman stereotypes too because it’s so painfully obvious that men can have those traits too.

Here’s some further information. A tampon can only hold so much blood before it leaks. At the pool, this can lead to embarrassing situations. At the pool I worked at, we were specifically told that period blood is fine in the pool. The same goes for breast milk. Period blood on the pool deck is hosed off. Depending on the amount of blood, the area of the deck is disinfected too. This is done discretely as the woman is already embarrassed. Lifeguards are way more cautious with non-period blood.

/r/MensRights24/11/22 11:22 AM

So gender doesn't exist then That depends on how you define gender. and men and women are simply expressions of baseline biological instinct? There are several different branches of feminism nowadays. I’m a woman. It wouldn’t matter if I were a man or a woman. I’m not particularly fond of having a period because swimming is a huge part of my life. However, male private parts come with their own disadvantages. I don’t mind being called a female. I am a female. It would be weird for someone to say, “Yo, female in the white shirt. What game is that? Mario Galaxy?” Nobody says female in that way in in real life. What are some common areas…

The divorce happened because there was a broken promise. But what led to the broken promise? A lack of love. There’s a good chance one of them still loved the other, Sure. otherwise nobody would have cheated A wronged person in love with the cheater wouldn’t have cheated. The cheater clearly still wouldn’t love the wronged person. It would be a loveless marriage. and they would still be together Yikes. Hopefully they’d separate.

People do treat female strangers differently than male strangers. That depends on how sexist the person is. /r/PurplePillDebate19/11/22 02:37 PM

Strangers treat me as a woman obviously. Whatever that means. I assume you've seen differences in your own life between how the sexes are treated in public, No. both positive and negative? In other countries, women are treated extremely poorly
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/22 02:36 PM
1

Why not? To keep your current physicality. Why switch bodies? A different outer body only provides a person with physical differences. You want physical attributes you don’t currently have.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/22 02:32 PM
0

It's not "the wrong body" anymore that me having an autistic brain is "the wrong body". Okay. I’m glad you know nobody is born in the wrong body. I'm treated as a man by my friends, Okay but would prefer strangers did it too. How do strangers treat you differently?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/22 02:30 PM
1

Also, why would you want your “brain to match your outer body”?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/22 02:27 PM
0

Because I would prefer for my brain to match my outer body. Nobody is born in the wrong body. I hope you know that. I would prefer to be seen and treated as a man. I’m a woman who is treated as a man. It’s easy.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/22 02:25 PM
1

I don't know what it would do for you, Nothing since I don't know what your sex is, much less your gender. I’m of the female sex. You’d consider me to be of the male gender. If they match I don't think it would do anything except cause dysphoria. Nah. Dysphoria is a separate issue. Being the opposite sex for me would mean my masculine gender would have a matching outer body. Why would a “match” do you any good?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/22 02:17 PM
1

I’ll clarify that I say gender=sex=(genotype [sex chromosomes] and phenotype [gene expression, ie genitals]).
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/22 02:14 PM
1

I go with gender = your brain structure. Sex = your genitals. Okay. For the overwhelming majority of people they match, but for a very small amount of people they don't. Ok. Why would being of the opposite sex do anything for people like you and me?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/22 02:11 PM
1

It might ease conversation for me to first ask what you define gender as. After all, there are several different definitions for gender nowadays. I go with gender=sex.

You get a short term advantage in math. Instead of performing math using logic and definitions, you can perform math with emotions. Women perform math as follows. Consider the problem 1+2. When women think of this question, when 4 pops in their head, they become angry as 4 is too high. When -2 pops in their head, they become sad as that number is too negative (get it, -2/too negative, lol). When 3 pops in their head, they become happy. Showing work goes something like this: 1️⃣➕2️⃣🟰😐🤔4️⃣🤔😡❌ 🟰🤔➖2…

It’s so weird. Out of all her children (2 girls, 2 boys), my maternal grandma decided to pick on my mom. She’s all proud of saying she metaphorically “yanked the silver spoon from my mom’s mouth”.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 02:25 PM
1

Fuck off. My mom was a single mom for my sisters (20 and 21 years older than me) and a stay at home mom for me. When my mom was a stay at home mom, she was never financially dependent on my dad. She could have gotten work at any time. My mom was an adult during my childhood, especially after having raised two girls on her own. My mom had responsibilities.

I’d want to do what would lead to me and my hypothetical husband both retiring as soon as possible.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 02:11 PM

Ya. And it’s really complicated now because my maternal grandma changed for me. She’s been really good to me. When I found out about the past, I felt like Harry Potter learning that Dumbledore wasn’t all that good of a person.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 02:03 PM
1

That’s good. It makes me think of how my mom is such an angel despite her mom, most of her siblings, and her ex husband treating her so poorly. Interestingly, my maternal grandpa was a great dude. He was the light in her family life. His only fault was that he didn’t leave my maternal grandma and take my mom with him. But that’s complicated in itself.

Haha well that's quite a thing for your grandma to say and I don't know you as well as she does, but from our conversation I think that you're wise in the fact that most people your age don't think about love as thoroughly as you are doing. Basically, my trans comment was one big joke. We shouldn’t care what other people think. Also, people can’t swap genders. Gender is purely based in biology. Men suffer prejudice, women suffer prejudice. Might as well become non-binary at this point (another joke). You think men suffer from prejudice more than women. I think men and women suffer equally from prejudice. And ya, it’s not an oppression olympics. So what if a bunch of men think women love less than men. They can continue living their…

It’s sad to know some people think I love less just because I am a woman. I might as well become a trans man because of a bunch of other awful assumptions too.

No. A woman could biologically sacrifice her youth by eating mostly junk food, effectively sacrificing her health in her older years too. Said woman could still have kids.

When a woman sacrifices her youth, does that logically imply that she had no kids?

I’m very privileged. The things you mention seem insignificant compared to the privileges I just listed.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/22 04:28 PM

I’m a woman. I want to live below my means, save and invest my money, and retire young so I can spend my golden years doing the things I really want to do (fishing, gardening, swimming, practicing mathematics, writing, etc.). I’m 20 years old and I have the same pencil case that I used in grade one. I also definitely have a rain jacket from grade five. I think we’re incompatible. At 8 figures, I’d easily retire and just invest my money in a low-risk way.

I had the grandma/grandpa thing happen with my mom/dad. I thought it was fun when people would mistake my sisters for my mom. I’d hire a guitar and piano teacher to write music to accompany lyrics I’ve already written. I’d write a novel. I’d study mathematics and try to prove a bunch of theorems. Stuff like that.

Femininity boils down to physical features and fashion in my opinion. Fashion changes over time and is subjective though. Physical features: a small waist, a “feminine face”, a higher voice (vocal chords), etc. Fashion: dresses, skirts, long hair, nail polish, high heels, ponytails, etc. I don’t associate femininity with personality traits, interests, ways of thinking, etc.. That’s just the way I was raised.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 11:48 AM

We have a difference in opinion. I think it’s weird you kept those plants. The necklace could have been used by someone else? Really? You must really hate the ending of the movie “Titanic” when the old lady throws the sapphire necklace into the sea. I have the same sentiment towards the painting. Your gift hierarchy seems good at first glance. I think it lacks nuance though.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 07:54 AM

I guess it depends on the gift? I think strictly monetary gifts should be kept. That’s a one and done thing. I’m a very sentimental person. I ascribe meaning to different objects. When my wicked aunt gifted me a necklace, I cut it up and threw it in the trash. When she gifted me a painting, I karate kicked the painting in the backyard while my dad held it in place. I think it would have been wrong to sell the necklace and/or painting too. I don’t want no dirty money.

In a hypothetical situation where I’m dating a guy and then we break up, I’d return his clothing and any gifts such as expensive jewelry. Such items have bad Feng shui. I’d throw away cheap items once given to me by him that are clearly unwanted by him.

My maternal grandparents were both previously married with kids. My mom was married when she was 16. She had my sisters when she was 18 and 19. She divorced her abusive ex when my sisters were kids. Guy #2 is innocent if he has some other good reason for dumping her (ex. she doesn’t make him happy).

I think it’s better to focus on individuals rather than the broad groups of men and women. Unfortunately, a lot of men/women will give you inaccurate answers to questions about another person. A lot of people don’t walk their talk. Examine peoples’ walks. Good luck deducing what a man is like by asking a plethora of women. You’re not examining first hand what the man does. You’re learning how a bunch of women talk of that man. Reverse the genders in this paragraph and the message is the same.

“Mansplaining usually occurs randomly by the man.” No. A lot of women are condescending. I wouldn’t say it’s mostly men who are condescending. “His advice or teaching was not asked for.” A lot of wonderful advice that is appreciated is not asked for. “So women going to a man’s dating seminar is not mansplaining because they actually want his advice.” I think someone can be condescending whether or not the advice is sought after. “Also, a lot of men and women don’t know how to talk to each other.…

“Why do women hate “mansplaining”, but if a woman hosts a dating seminar basically discussing dating strategies, relatable feelings and thought processes, women will clamor and clap in agreement ?” Some women are stupid. I don’t like condescending people. “It bothers me how upset some women get at the seminars of men essentially explaining womens psychology TO women.” Well, psychology seems so “fluffy”. “Unbiased statistics that may not even …

Mathematics is a form of art. It wasn’t mandatory for me to take any course outside of math, physics, and first year chemistry and computer science in university. Still, I chose to take an English literature course, an academic writing course, biology courses, and a psychology course. In my spare time, I create stories, work on my dream journal, draw manga, sew, explore the culinary arts, make polymer clay charms, read books, watch movies/TV, and more. When I had more time on my hands, I starred…

Interesting. People like me who have wonderful families which have already taught us (implicitly and/or explicitly) about relationships will be bored af. It’s laughable and sadly expected that some people need such education. I’d like to point out that the career courses I had to take were all about self-exploration. Ironically, the course took away time for me to truly delve into self-exploration.

It’s better to be anxious. I think it’s thrilling to feel excited and anxious before a musical theatre performance. Anxiety keeps us in check so we can walk our talk. Someone who experiences anxiousness can still be confident and assertive. Furthermore, an anxious person can still be blunt and tell it like it is. Obnoxious people are annoying.
