| 4 | I just realised wikileaks is done with, Assange has moved on to men's rightsI don't really care that much for all this Wikileaks stuff so I haven't read the rape claims etc. But if I was a perfect person, I'd support a cause even if I had personal issues with its figurehead, as long as that personal qualm did not alter the thing you're both fighting for. In this case, whether or not Assange is guilty, outside of possible public image damage, doesn't alter Wikileak's MO of informing. Men who are just accused of rape are exposed and shamed before proven guilty.This is an example of gender bias, but I hardly see it as the result of feminism. If anything it indicates a failure to adopt feminist ideals. The bias in this case reflects an innate sexist view: women are the weaker sex - they're emotionally driven etc, therefore, they can't be as culpable as males. This premise assumes that the default in society is to expose accused child-molesters etc, as opposed to feminism making such reports more likely.
