Don’t hate yourself. Just change what you hate. Sounds silly, but it will help a long way keeping it that simple. Also, go see a therapist.

My only advice: stop watching what other people are doing and mind your business. You sound so bitter, jealous and immature. You’re also generalizing everything (and possibly spending too much time on social media) so the best you can do is stop looking at other people’s lives, stay off Instagram for a bit and just focus on what makes you happy. You went from “pick me” girl to another form of hyperfocusing on what others do/think. There’s no such thing as “pretty privilege” that’s just life. Let…

You’re kids yourself. Wait. He may change his mind. He just started living so makes sense why he would want to delay it now but this may change in some time.

I would say try out of NYC. Dated people there and it was awful. I live in Miami and here is almost as bad so I had to “import” dates from other places (which has not worked out so well either but definitely yielded better results). Do not give in to hookup culture. Patiently waiting for the right person and going through lots of trial and errors is very time and energy consuming but worth it. I would also say try men a little older. They tend to be more mature, centered and caring/understanding…

Advice: Don’t mention your job (or be vague about it) until you click with a person. Let a connection form before they can make a material idea of you. By the way your post was written, I think you’re really focusing on the wrong women anyways. But it’s also not “leech” instinct. It’s normal for a woman to want to be with a financial stable partner, just like a man wants to be with an attractive women. There’s evolutionary reasoning behind women being attracted to potential men that can provide …

“The woman has no responsibilities” My man, that’s your doing. You allow her to be that way.

Interesting post by a woman. Are you sure you’re not being a “pick me, I’m different” girl now? 😂 And if you’re a guy… we’ll, massive incel energy. Either way, sad. You’re approaching the wrong women with the wrong idea about marriage. Not all women all good (especially modern western women). I also think you’re misunderstanding the need for safety for being a “leech”. The feeling of financial safety is a tale as old as time and you can’t really blame us for it, nature conditioned us that way (i…

“In hindsight, maybe I could’ve pushed it a bit” “It does se like a red flag in her relationship that would make her down to cheat, but idk” Skip that, it’s pathetic (from a female perspective) Instead, put some more work on yourself to be of higher quality (seems like you may need it since you feel the need to be pushy). It’s good to approach but not to chase until you make us uncomfortable.

If you give shitty answers then they will just get fixated on that and find it suspicious. Just tell them as it is and be ready to show the receipts. Some people get crazy paranoid if they don’t like your answers or you’re very private (like me). Don’t lie, but if you don’t feel comfortable or feel shame talking about your past relationships (some people will force your answers) then just be vague about it 🤷🏽‍♀️

I am so sorry to hear that. I hope you’re doing great and healed from that :(

Yes, we have sort of talked about it? Although I didn’t get into details. Maybe I should start there?

For almost 2 years now. But yes you’re right. I guess I’ll wait until after I see a therapist to talk to him, I don’t want to bring baggage into this.

Hmm, in this case, it depends. I’m also about to move with my boyfriend (same timeline than OP) except we have planned doing this in August. My bf is an attending physician. I’m a medic and doing my masters degree (aka broke college student rn) and the 50/50 here is not fair as 50% of my income can’t be compared to 50% of his income. While it’s true that if things don’t work you won’t be able to take much, I think just consider both of your finances and come up with something that is fair for bo…

Yes, I mean that’s a very interesting observation. You may be right with the controlling part. I tried thinking about my own thought process and realized that “interest” is not as accepted as just turned on because it implies that it is consciously done, and the idea of my partner wanting to be with someone else is not as good in my head. So yeah, it could be a controlling thing 😅

I think it’s important to note that porn is not act nor there is emotion from him involved in it so technically this is not cheating (or so I think). There are different reasons on why he’s watching porn and depending on that I guess it’s what could determine whether it is okay or not.

I pretty much feel the same way up til the point where you said you like him being interested in other women. I am okay with him being turned on by other women but not interested. But that’s just me.

Same happened to me in January. I was so anxious to see that asshole again over zoom but it was over in 15 mins. Totally relieved but somehow I still felt weird that a long time of a relationship/marriage was over that long. Oh well lol

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
