I used to use a trimmer down there but always nicked myself so now I just use the trimmer to cut the hair short but not all the way. The trimmer no longer touches my skin down there. And then in the shower I lather down there with soap and use a normal gillette razor blade (not a straight blade) to shave down to the skin.
