It gets a bad rap because of the extreme double standards that show up from time to time. A girl can post about how she accidentally got pregnant and she'll be showered with support, a million women will volunteer to hold her hand while she gets an abortion and nobody would ever suggest that maybe, just maybe, her own actions played a part in her arriving in this situation.
