OK, ignore the facts and proof. You can have that one, but they didn't even provide any specific emotion-fueled anecdotes from their personal lives. Not a single example of when they were being "mansplained" to. Seems a lot of women who believe in the existence of "mansplaining" are also struggling with some ignorance problems. Yeah, active shooter drills are traumatizing and should not be legal. Sure, all of the adults should be on the same page about the correct course of action, but there is no reason to bring children into it as well. I probably had a better chance of being hit by lightning twice in a row while being attacked by a shark than being involved in a school shooting, not injured in one, and let alone killed in one.

Public restrooms rarely have lids in my experience unless it's a nice place or an office environment, and at home I couldn't care less. I'd rather build my immune system by being "slightly messy" than a germaphobe.

Yeah this is really a non-issue. Anyone who has cleaned public restrooms knows that the only two real issues are carelessness with feminine hygiene waste and hover piss all over the seats. Both women's restroom issues. I don't see how a unisex bathroom could ever add extra inconvenience for women.

The seat should be left UP in both unisex and men's restrooms. This keeps the toilet seat clean from people who are too lazy to put it up to take a piss. In a unisex bathroom if the seat is cleaner on average this will also help cut back on female hoverers. Anyone who has cleaned public restrooms know that blackout drunk men (even who leave the seat down when pissing) have better aim than they do. Hovering to pee is immoral and unethical.

As someone who has cleaned public restrooms, I put the seat up when I'm done even if I was taking a shit. On another note, I genuinely can't comprehend why toilet seats are even needed in women's public restrooms except for maybe the handicapped stall for children and the disabled. It plays a part at least. If you're exposed to germs that don't end up making you sick, you'll end up with a better immune system. Intuitively it would seem like the only major con is the chance of picking up some random illness or infection, but slightly messy people are sick far less than germaphobes.

Men's room was almost always "technically" cleaner, but it definitely smelled worse when the urinal cake thing started to go south. Before I started having to clean restrooms I never realized how much of the smell came from improperly maintained urinals.
