Yeah, I don't tell anyone that. Even if I do have a boyfriend. I say that I am not interested. No apologies. The reason why doesn't matter. I told the person I a not interested and they will have to accept it.

I didn’t share it. I’ve just seen it in meetings. And it’s one I live by since I saw it a year or so ago. I thought it might be in the daily reflection book I have but I checked and it isn’t. I follow FDS because it has many of the same principles of AA. It’s in line with my recovery from alcoholism.

It’s an AA book. I don’t have this particular book but it’s a once a day type reflections book. Am a member of AA.

Amen to that. I have other things to get back to. The quarantine has definitely improved my perspective in the area of dating too. In the grand scheme, It’s just not that important to me anymore. There is so much life to live, to learn and do and I’m not going to be bothered with someone else! And, like Whoopi said, I don’t want nobody in my house. And I sure as shit don’t want to be in someone else’s house. 2020 was going to be my year, C19 or not, it still will be. I’m getting through this on …

I’m 48 and so far my 40s have been my favorite! I don’t give many fucks about very much these days and I think that’s why! My wardrobe is amazing, my style is killing it, and with out C19, my social life is pretty solid. Well rounded, go to the theater, started taking acting classes (pre C19). I dress up, dress down, keep current, enjoy my life. I’m single and imma stay this way. I date around, however am complete just the way I am. I don’t need a man coming in and fucking up my vibe. I enjoy ma…

Exactly, I do mean it. If pressed I say that I’m looking for a person who is complete, happy with their life and independent. Which those are things I’m looking for.

I usually say something like this: I don’t have a check list. Each person is unique and brings their unique qualities. I don’t make anyone tick “boxes”, I take each person, and what they bring, as the individual that they are. No one can really argue with it.

Yeah, I’m on the fence about explaining to them. At this point it isn’t for my benefit because I’m out. Maybe he’ll figure it out, maybe he won’t. It’s no longer my problem.

Yeah, NYE plans were locked down for me two weeks out. I stayed in alone but that was the plan. Anyone trying to make plans after that date was scrambling and I wasn’t being a part of last minute plans.

He responded with some mess about grammar police, saying “hang out” and “date” mean the same thing. I can’t even with these fools. I explained the difference to him and why it’s important. I didn’t block him, yet, because then he won’t see my response. I don’t think it will help for the next woman, but one never knows. He’ll probably block me and that’s fine. Either way, he’s out!

I’m 48 and been following FDS for a month or so. I’ve always had these values, however, was led astray by a seemingly HVM that I married (12 years). He is actually a psychopathic narc and I was lucky to escape with my life. I took time (six years) to recover with therapy and AA and am now ready to seriously date. Finding this group has been refreshing. It fully supports what I’ve always believed. And the values are in line with my faith, my recovery program and my standards!

It’s not a crime to look people up, however it’s incredibly intrusive to take a picture from their account and post it elsewhere. I understand that when we put ourselves out in social media we open ourselves up to this type of thing. A normal person doesn’t do what this person did. For safety reasons I do look up people online. I don’t repost their pics. Had the person stopped at describing the interaction and how it made them feel is one thing. The line crossed was posting a picture that was no…
