Wouldn't be better to just answer what you think the actual right answer is? If you intentionally give "wrong" answers, then you corrupt the data from a survey by misrepresenting yourself. Once you start using corrupted data you draw incorrect conclusions which bring upon many other problems. I mean you could just give answers to spite the surveyor and devalue any possible data that could used, or you could....I don't know....do something useful instead of digging in your heels like an angry chi…

While I believe you are correct that is why the Egyptians started(not entirely sure, need to do more research), I would argue that in modern times with the advent of highly effective hygiene practices and cleansers, this is no longer as great of an importance. I would love to find some statistics on the prevalence of UTI's in the past couple of centuries in developed countries (like the US, Britain, Canada, Sweden, etc.) in circumcised vs non-circumcised males.

/u/ason makes a valid point. Also, would it not be easier to provide provide condoms(which are better than any other method of preventing STD's by far) and proper hygienic cleansers than to resort to surgery?

I've found nearly the same statement here but can't seem to find how circumcision can prevent the spread of these diseases/infections. Would you happen to have a source for that? Also just from a research perspective, the site you linked to could be viewed as somewhat biased. I believe that medical journal or some sort of editorial from a hospital, university, or other accredited medical authority would be much better.

There are different kinds of female circumcision and not all of them involve the removal of the clitoris. The most common form of female circumcision is the removal of the clitoral hood. This removes a large amount of nerves near the clitoris, making it less receptive to touch or stimulation but still leaving the clitoris functional. Clitoral hood removal is argued to be the female equivalent to male circumcisions that are prominent in the US.

In your last statement, I would have to agree with you. Though I think if they allotted extra for the woman for "medical reasons" I guess that would be acceptable, because then it's less about gender and more about health & safety.
