I don't think that your analogy interpolates accurately to reality. If I were to explain that metaphor from my perspective I think it would be more of one sibling complaining that they have to do most of the chores every time, because the other sibling doesn't do the same amount of chores. It is not right if the parent (government) makes one sibling (men) do more chores (responsibilities) than the other sibling (women) while giving them both an equal amount of treats (benefits of having rights).
