Call it a successful little day for you belittling strangers on the internet. Pretty pathetic.

I didn't say I don't have empathy. Asking questions here. If I had none I would have dumped him yesterday. You seem bitter :(

No idea why you're being so snarky. Thanks for your input it's actually useful despite the undertone.

Starting to date someone when you're not ready, is not fair. It's lying to the other person.

Very odd you know nothing about me. I've never dated a guy who's going through a divorce and was asking for advice. Uneccesary rudeness from your end. Regardless, thanks for your input.

Not fair to say you're ready to date, then always having emotional outburst about feeling guilty.

My assumption is if you're divorced and dating, you'd be respectful enough to start dating wants you're emotionally detached from the other person. Simple.

Unecessarily rude.

I asked as I have no experience in this. Thanks for your input, yet no need to be so insulting.

Sorry to clarify, he has been separated and living apart for 1 year. We have been seeing each other around 4-5 months. I don't see it as my role to support his through a breakup?

I cant bring myself to help him feel better cos he's breaking up with another woman? Feels so weird. Sorry he's older, I'm younger. Zero experience in this.

What should I do? I can't handle all his emotions he randomly throws them onto me.

He’s going to be doing it himself since he’s an attorney. He’s been focused on caring for parents, moving into new apartment, selling his past business. So he said he’s going step by step. He wants out since he wants kids, she doesn’t. They’re more friends

m seeing now has no reason to (and doesn't) feel insecure about the situation. It's definitely possible, although ymmv. What does ymmv mean? How do you ensure she doesn't feel insecure? Thanks a lot for sharing.

up front and honest about my current situation and where things stood. Just my .02 Thanks for sharing! He did say within the year (2024) but didn't want to feel pressured or controlled into a timeline. He's burnt out right now with two jobs, caring for parents etc. and he said he considers it done so why add stress to his plate right now

Thanks a lot for sharing. Even if he can't share a timeline on when he'll start filing?

s and a partner needs to support and be patient with me. This journey can be brutal - not including psychotic behavior! The pa Thanks for sharing! Sounds very intense, hopefully you can take care of yourself through the process. Do you agree I shouldn't be anxious about no timeline? Not put pressure on him? How can I support him?

Makes total sense. Thanks a lot for sharing I really appreciate it. Seems as if even if they don't want to go back and reconcile, they're just overall unstable in life.

Thank you so much for your insight, really appreciate it. I do love him, yet I have fear. I asked him for a timeline and he said he can't because it makes him feel controlled. So I'm left deciding what to do.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
