Focus on setting boundaries with future women, or the next women you date. It's not worth it to try with the ex, as it's always going to be a dysfunctional relationship at this point.

Curious on this too. Can you freeze your credit somehow through the agencies?

See a doctor for sure... could also be low-T, which is quite common these days. The viagra is a good suggestion to get your confidence back, though it won't help if it's a libedo problem. Also, if you aren't already, get in the gym and find a way to obtain some cardio exercise. It will do wonders for both your mental health and sex drive, I promise!

That sucks man! Did you have any opportunity to delay your trial further? I feel like if I thought I'd lose, I'd push to delay as much as possible and hope she was cohabitating, or would cave because she wanted to get remarried.

Met my new love through work/business. We had been good friends previously, and we decided to move things forward after my divorce. It's been absolutely amazing! You'll probably be surprised that you meet someone when you least expect it (or when you stop trying or thinking it's important). Usually trying too hard is when nothing happens. Work on improving yourself first and foremost, then the rest will happen over time.

Seriously, if that were my situation, I probably would have left the country a long time ago. No way would waste that type of money on my ex. Good luck man, that sounds like a literal nightmare

I'm curious on this situation too... following.

Yeah.... we had insane sex, but she was super emotionally unstable and constantly had insecurity issues. You realize that while sex is important, it only makes up a fraction of your day to day interactions. If the rest isn't good, then the sex doesn't matter in the end.

Probably need to take her to court, or at least threaten it, if she's violating your documented agreement

Interested to hear more on this too... especially for folks who may have had a legal separation agreement and ex tried to modify when moving to divorce.

Just started having to go no contact with my stbxw because she was becoming such a nightmare to deal with, and so disrespectful. You have to realize she's a totally different person now, and not someone you want to be around. I'm only a few days in and it's super hard, since we used to text all the time. However, I figure it's better to start the process now, since I'll be moving into the new condo I purchased in 3 weeks.

I think trust is broken and it will be near impossible to come back from this. The fact she wanted to reconcile but keep this dude on the side says a lot. She doesn't value you, point blank. You need to show you're worth more than that and go no contact for awhile. Cleanse her from your system and think about anything else (work, gym, hobbies, guy friends, other women, whatever). I believe you should move to divorce, but hard to say as you don't mention the financial situation or if kids are inv…

Seriously, this should be pinned on the top of the page. Hilarious 😂

I've had these same thoughts. It really is difficult to manage at first. The best advice I've seen is just time, space, and staying busy. Find things to keep yourself occupied (gym, hobbies, friends) and set goals for yourself. Make sure you aren't seeing her in socials (block everything) and maybe even don't text with her (use a special app or email for kids exchange). That separation is important in allowing you to move on with life. Good luck!

Having been on this forum for awhile, these stories come up often. My guess is that she’s already monkey branching to another guy, but wants the financial support and stability you provide. You need to cut her off now, and move forward with divorce, otherwise she will just keep using you. Unless you want to be a cuck and somehow are into that :)

Honestly if he’s recently divorced, I doubt he wants to jump back into a serious relationship right away, if ever. So I think with that context, you have to ask yourself whether you can be patient if you truly care for him.

I thought in this case you can’t technically file taxes as “married filing jointly”, because the IRS recognizes that as “not married”

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
