TL;DR - don't be needy, either. The #1 turnoff I heard from women was when the guy was too needy, especially too quickly. Women crave the attention of a high-value man, and neediness is the fastest way to shoo her attention elsewhere. An interesting observation - this tends to play out another way in rural towns I think. I've lived in a handful of rural communities (2k population) and in each place I have seen that there are seemingly high SMV women dating seemingly low SMV men.
