I blame american popular media for spreading the misconception that this has the potential to work or even is an ok thing to do.

I feel like this is an important post because even if this seems obvious, it isnt to a lot of people! Some men are led through films and sitcoms to believe that if they only say the right magic words, act confident, glow up, get on the team, get rich or join a successful band, «that one popular girl from high school» will start liking them. That is not how it works at all. People who never liked you will not magically change their mind if you only «level up» enough. Doing those things above will…

Meeting people through friends is usually the best way. You can talk casually and get to know each other a bit before exchanging numbers or hanging out just the two of you

On a different note. I would personally never say yes to a stranger no matter what he talked or looked like, and every other girl i discussed this with agrees. Asking strangers out only really works in movies/sitcoms. Don’t get me wrong, it was a very brave thing to do and you handled it correctly, just keep in mind that the chances of succeeding with this strategy is low to non-existant. If you are serious about a date I would try a different approach. Long explenation: Normal women don’t go on…

People used to say this to me as well «dont worry, you are so young, the right person will show up when you least expect it, bla bla». Now I am getting old and unattractive. I am past my prime and still single. All the good men are taken, and I will probably never have love or my own family. I am seriously concidering getting a coulpe of kids by sperm bank before its too late.

It is not the sex but the lack of respect that is abusive.

Well written. I am 27, and just a few years away from ending up like this myself. The future looks grim indeed... At least I know that I am not (and never could be) wife material, so I dont expect anything else.

The same can be said about mentally ill men, only you also risk getting killed on top of everything.

Yes. I find it very disrespectful at it makes me feel treated like trash. Scumbags cat call to show off to other guys. No person with normal cognitive abilities would treat another human being like that, especially someone they were romanticly interested in.

Being cat called does not make me feel beautiful at all. It makes me feel worthless.

Im sorry to say this, but acting like an anti-social autist will not help you achieve anything. I suspect this advice wasnt actually thought through, but is some kind of emotional backlash or something. You write that women "wont do shit" for you. I think you should have higher expectations and also follow your own advice and think about your own well being. If you have a girlfriend like that "wont do shit" for you, you should definately think of your own well being and dump her. About the advic…

Isnt the point in this article that women must learn better how to express themselves and stop feeling guilty for saying no?

Some do, i guess. But the same requirements for looks/interests/ careers apply.

Allthough there might be some truth in this, the 25% bottom of men will typically be in low income-jobs, on wellfare or unemployed, and have worse health than average. So these men are also typically net recievers of benefits in society. If anything, lack of state benefits would give women an extra incentive to «share» a top, wealthy male instead of getting a poorer/less healthy man for themselves.

I am norwegian and I would like to point out some things that could help explain why such a large porportion of men are deemed unattractive by women. 1) The cost of living, and especially housing, is extremely expensive in Norway. It is impossible to buy a house with enough space for children unless both partners have a decent, full time job. This would give working-class men a huge disadvantage, because women are aware of the fact that the family would not be able to cope financially if a she c…

This seems both logical and reasonable to me. Just like 75% (or more) of men would rather be with an unemployed girl with the looks of a 9-10 rather than a rich and obese troll in the 1-2 or even 3-5 end of the scale. Nothing wrong with that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
