In my experience it can be both. When one of my friends is feeling cocky and tries to start a pissing contest he'll say stuff like "it's ok, bud", or "sorry bud". Other times it's just a part of his speaking habits. He calls us all bud. Hell I do it from time to time. It's all about frame, don't let it bother you, if they're being condescending just remember what they think of you doesn't mean shit. Nothing can break you, unless you allow it to.

Not always. The girl I mentioned above was giving me TONS of iois since we met. Constanty messing with me, light shoves. She wanted my attention ALL the time. Thing is I wasn't used to it before, so I knew what she wanted but I just couldn't get the balls to do it. We had a conversation at the back of a store where nobody was, and at some point I said "yeah, I do what I want". She instantly turned to me, just inches from my face and said "oh yeah?" With that "I dare you to" tone of voice. She wa…

I think it has more to do with what the rest of her face is saying when you're both staring each other down. This girl I almost k closed with (before getting cold feet like a pussy). She would always hold eye contact with me, sometimes looking away because I'd change my expression to show I'm interested. She would smile or get kind of lost looking at me. After I got cold feet she just gives me average eye contact. Her eyes aren't wide anymore, doesn't smile as much, and doesn't stay in our conve…

Whether you want to or not I would definitely recommend seeing a therapist I waited a year after my dad died before I went to one and I wish I didn't wait, I'd have my college degree by now if I went sooner. My therapist listened to all my problems and would explain reasons I might be feeling this way and gave me tips on dealing with these situations, granted I don't agree with everything said in my sessions. Making my therapist my safe person was the best decision I made 2 years ago. Because of…

If it's something you can't control/ are unable to do, then why are you letting it bother you in the first place? Eventually you'll come to learn that these insults don't mean jack shit to you. It does right now only because you allow it to. I'm 5'4 and weigh 120 lbs. All of my friends are taller than me and one of them is built well compared to me. Sometimes he likes to talk shit (because he wants validation) or starts pissing contests to make himself look good in front of others. Thing is I do…

I'm 2 weeks into letting go of my oneitus, and I still think about her a little. Thankully she's moving away in 2 weeks so that'll definitely help, but I digress. I felt the same way you did, constantly thinking about her. What worked for me was working out and tinder/bumble. I've been getting so many matches since I updated all my shit, and I just finished fucking a girl about an hour ago, I was a virgin then. My point is you gotta just forget about her, develop abundance mentality. I guarantee…

For me, I just decided to stop giving a fuck about what anyone thinks about me. It's kind of a frame thing (correct me if I'm wrong). Someone calls you a piece of shit. You know it isn't true, so why give a fuck? Same person says you look fucking gay in pink or that red just isn't you're color. They might be right, but you like the way you look, so who gives a fuck? If you don't, start trying different colors, see what you like, it doesn't matter what others say. They don't dress you, you dress …

This was pretty much how I was after my dad died ~3 years ago. I'm 22 now. It's a process, so don't expect everything to be peachy right out the gate. You'll have to take your time. Start with the side bar, but don't let women become your primary focus. Your education and self worth should be first. Figure out what you're good at and what you like and sticl with it. Always be pushing your limits and stepping out of your comfort zone, it'll build your confidence. I've also found it helps your con…

That's interesting. I've only been aware of channeling my anger into my workouts. Never considered this, thanks for the revelation.

I actually don't, because I'm not used to being attractive to people, plus she's super extroverted. Good to know I'm making progress though.

Alright, good point. I'm just gonna start taking notes from the side bar and the recommended books so I don't keep talking out of my ass.

A lot of good points here. For me my improvement come from taking all of my focus and putting it on me. What kind of man do I want to be? How do I want to be successful? I have friends that know how to flirt and fuck plates and all that shit. I'm still working on lifting, confidence and socialization. Hell, I'm 22 and still a virgin. But the thing about that is that I don't give a fuck about their success compared to mine, and I don't care what people think about me. All I care about is working …

I take criticism and the like much better than I used to, How else am I supposed to grow? I thank you again, you reminded me to follow my own ideals rather than relying on others to make up for my mistakes. Part of what makes an alpha to me is someone who understands their feelings and makes decisions rationally based off of what's right to them. I'll try and keep that locked in from here on out. Thanks again.

I'm sorry to hear your relationship with her was as negative as it is, and I appreciate you sharing this. It helped open my eyes to what I have, and it reminded me how immature I've been about it all. Thank you for your insight.

I appreciate your insight. My mother has been through a lot as well (who's hasn't, really) and I really take what she's given me for granted. I'll have to take time to look back and learn to appreciate as well as forgive and forget. Only a child would hold a grudge over something small, right?

I really like this comment. My parents did spoil me and gave me the majority of the things I wanted, but I worked hard for those things, getting good grades in school and staying out of trouble. I love my mother dearly, more than ever since my dad died a few years back. She loves me, does things if I ask, etc. We just clash a lot because we disagree on a lot of things. Deep down I know this is something I know only I can fix through my own experience. I came here because I thought I could possib…

I went back and read a bit about the anger phase as well as the others after I posted this, and you're right. Thinking back I was in the anger phase about 5-6 years ago. I believe I'm at the last stage now as I've beat my depression about a year ago. I suppose my mind still isn't completely used to the world being this way, but like someone said in another comment, baby steps. At this point it's all about improvement. I won't get any farther from where I am unless I go out and get those experien…

I'm glad I asked this question because I didn't even see myself falling into orbiter territory. Honestly I'm feeling pretty bitter towards myself for letting it happen but the info I've learned as a result made it worth my while. You are definitely right though, they aren't good friends. Now if I could just improve on reading her body language then I'd make the decision to go for it.

Of course, I understand what you mean. I know she'll see me as beta but I personally don't give a fuck. She knows I won't tolerate bull shit and I make sure our time together is always in my frame.

Precisely. I've been focusing my attention on lifting, self reflection and evaluation, and advancing my artistic abilities while finding hobbies to keep myself busy. I would never let a woman get in the way of that with who I've become. Aside from the ltr potential, she's just a very valuable part of my network.

If I'm being 100% honest, I'd make this girl my wife if I had years of experience and understanding of the red pill. She's a unicorn, everything I want. That being said, I no longer see it happening, so I'm aiming more for a professional/friendly relationship. She feeds me freelance projects (I do graphic design and animation), and we have days where we exchange ideas and work on projects together.

Meh, I kinda lost attraction last time we hung out, although the sex would probably be amazing. Great face, body and energy. I see what your saying though, I don't give her much validation or attention, but I do think it's possible to be "friends" to an extent with the opposite sex. Just don't do all the blue pill bull shit that would give her all the control.

Yeah I get that, gotta come up with my own responses. I have started lifting and I like the changes I got going on. Thankfully I've been improving my mentality for the past month so I don't care what others think of me like I used to. What's a good way to improve wit, just look for the opportunities as they come?

One thing he loves to point out is the fact that he's moved out of his parents place, apparently making him the most adult out of my circle. I'm positive it's just validation seeking behavior as he could hardly afford the place anyway, which is why he's moving back home this week. There were a few times where he and his brother would pick on me for not having as many sexual partners. Just constant ego inflation that I've learned to tune out.

Definitely. I've worked my temper down a lot these past few years and the benefits are amazing I have to say.

Agreed, I have been noticing this more amongst my friends when something gets said that they feel insecure about. I'm still having trouble reading women's body language though. I focus so much on eye contact I keep forgetting to look for the signs.

This is the mentality I was going for. While his behavior bothers me, his apparent "success" over me does not. It's good to know I'm getting the mentality down fairly well, thank you for the response.

I've actually thought about that a lot when analyzing his behavior. "If you got it so good, do you really need to put it out there so much?", Is usually the question that pops into my head. He calls himself an adult because he doesn't live with his parents, which apparently makes him better than the rest of us. It makes me laugh, considering he was barely scraping by.

Good comment, I didn't even consider him flipping it back onto me. Disagree and amplify sounds perfect for these situations, thanks.

You're right, it is simple. However it might not be easy to flat out exclude him from social gatherings we plan all the time, unless my good friends see his behavior as I do. Showing indifference will definitely be my go to until I can improve on my wit.

It's really just the one. The others are real bros. Thankfully he lives out of town but he's moving back soon, which isn't to exciting honestly. Will be keeping contact to a minimum for sure.

You reminded me of another issue in working on, reminding myself of the value I bring to the table in social spaces. Thank you for the analogy.

Physically, to look good and feel good. I've finally gotten tired of my thin frame and how tired I feel every day after work.

Working on that, about get a second job and it'll be in my price range.
