In recent years there has been a growing and immensely important body of academic work around gender-based expressions of depression. As a broad, widely accepted principle, men (and boys) with mental ill health tend to externalise those feelings into aggression, violence, criminality and drug and alc…

If by frustration you mean the rage you feel when you read stories of such incredible injustice to men, then, yes. I frequently have to take a break, sometimes from months, from the whole gender politics thing.

The Canadian women's Olympic hockey team (the best women's hockey team in the world bar none) practices against midget AAA (14-15 year old) boys teams; in 2009-10 they had a 3-11 record http://www.amhl.ab.ca/standings.php?season_id=2. The second best (not really close) women's team, USA, practiced against high school boys teams in 2014 who give them all they can handle https://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/olympics-fourth-place-medal/u-women-hockey-team-scrimmaging-against-high-school-170704740--oly.ht…

No, the statistics for women being jailed for rape are included. So few women are convicted, it rounds to 0.

This student teacher completely overlooks the issue of false abuse allegations rampant in the profession: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/hundreds-leaving-teaching-due-to-false-abuse-claims-1125314.html Also his female colleagues may well be supportive until one of them is competing for the same position as him and starts suggesting that it may not be safe for him to be around young women.

One time the conversation turned to breast enhancement. I chimed in with the opinion that fake boobs were ugly and I much preferred natural boobs of whatever size. One of the women present got all offended telling me that for some tall, less curvy women (a description of herself), without breast enhancement clothes didn't hang right plus other reasons. Women usually frame this surgery as 'it's what men expect,' but of course it's not--it's to out-compete the other women regardless of whether it …

No. If the demand for jobs (people looking for work) doubles and the supply of jobs (companies looking to hire) does not, wages drop. People cannot find work and have to accept lower-paying jobs.

Lol. True, this could be perfectly blameless. Not from the USA. The combination of drugs and guns suggested something illegal to me, but really, there's no evidence of that in the article.

Hard to make a cause celebre when the victim keeps his guns and drugs in the top drawer when children are in the house.

Someone once asked Mick Jagger why he paid for sex when women were throwing themselves at him. He replied "I'm not paying for the sex, I'm paying for them to leave in the morning." Something similar might be happening here.
