Still better than letting them play Roblox for 15 hours a day.

…And vacuum the house, mop the floors, cook dinner, walk the dog, plan date nights, organize storage, buy the kids iPads, take them for haircuts, make sure they brush before school… She handled DoorDash pretty well I suppose. Knew everything on Netflix. And put together lunches of Cheetos, fish crackers, and occasionally a banana.

Of course it’s doable. With the kids older now the financial hit won’t be as bad. Being around the same age as you, and having just moved out myself, the worst part at this stage was the actual labor of moving and setting up in a new place and figuring out all the logistics with getting the kids set up nicely. I’m not young anymore and my back lets me know it.

I wouldn’t assume that. They have peer groups that in time will also recognize the insanity of that extreme behavior.

My autistic son seems to be handling it very well. The others, not so much. About the same ages as yours. It’s difficult to know whether it’s teenage angst or if they actually hate my guts now. I wasn’t ready for it TBH. Now I understand how kids might grow to not speak with their father.

Women are like sports cars. Nice to look at but expensive as hell and they don’t even work half the time.

It’s whatever you agree to really. You can do it either way. If you’re still sharing bills I’d just wait until it’s final or someone moves out. (I’m doing this now. It works if you’re amicable.)

Baby-rabies manifesting as temporary Love-bombing. Once babies are born, in some relationships we’re only needed for our utilitarian labor and financial support. Same old sitch.

Just adding my two cents that music jogs are not helpful for me: it tends to allow my mind to wander and get distracted by intrusive negative thoughts too often. Without music, I am forced to focus on my breathing, gait, pace, etc with much more intention. YMMV homies :)

My dog offers all the true companionship I need. That’s real love, lifelong (for them anyway) and mutual with no conditions.

I mean, pets can be major besties with anyone. Mine takes up most of my mornings and sleeps in bed. Worth disclosing, but only on a first date IMO.

Therapy is great advice for the kids. Be prepared to take the blame for a while. It should get better over time. For what it’s worth, I’m better friends now with my STBXW - still living at home with the kids. We literally haven’t fought once since I got served. She only served me because I asked her to. I regret not doing it myself just out of emotional fortitude. Cooperating is important for the kids sake. It’s better than projecting bad vibes all the time. I talk to my kids about different nei…

This is a support sub for men going through divorce. It’s not where you’ll learn how to destroy someone like that.

She’s looking for happiness and stability. And under the circumstances your role includes financial stability. Personally I wouldn’t unless it’s a golden pussy, and even then it’s short term.
