About this : I wonder what would drive a Western Muslim back to the middle east as a militant, and my first instinct is that they felt excluded, mocked, and unwelcomed by Western society. I'm pretty sure she did not feel excluded. Whenever you see a Muslim women,people usually think about how his man is oppressing her to wear that garment and how she is being forcefully kept out of enjoying her sexual independence.
