Both are still pitched. I've never been quite certain where it came from. There may have been a badly done study that started the domestic violence one. The sex worker one seems to have come out of a guess by strip club owners. They figured they were going to get more clientele, and it just didn't hold up. (It may vary city to city, depending on the rep of the city as a sex worker town.)

I have a lot of issues with Big Pharma, but most of their programs to support access to drugs are legit. They know getting you the drug usually means a lifetime customer, so while they don't have as much profit as usual, they still get something out of it. Often it is just how to navigate the system to get you covered. They still get paid, but you pay less. It's not great, but they are serious about it.
