I'm honestly fine with having society pay, fully realizing I'm a part of it. Same. I rather pay for some children with my tax money than some of the other shit it is used for.

Well, men do go to prison if they are no longer able to pay child support. They are being punished by the state for making that financial unwise decision of having a child.

You missed the point entirely. "It's no longer allowed / no longer the norm, thus this problem no longer exists" was the initial argument against OPs claim (that men who call shelters / hotlines get abused & no help). Using the same argument for "beating the wife" leads to the conclusion that "it no longer exists". The idea behind the statement is that it shows how shitty that argument was, since everyone knows that beating women still happens. In the same way that the situations described by OP…

From the article: "A bird enthusiast told the Bristol Post today that he had been turned away from a falconry display at the park, and told that adults without children were banned to protect children from paedophiles." and: "Matthew Richards, 54, had previously visited the Puxton Park with his three grandchildren but wanted to return for another look at the birds of prey area." He had no grandchildren in-tow. He was a solo male adult. No need to make up stuff.

Thats unhealthy. At one point, he should not pay attention to adcices or comments from anything outside the relationship and never question the relationship. It's also contradictory to the list itself, since the list is advice from outside the relationship.

Remember that CS is not programming. You can get a CS degree with almost no programming knowledge (get good groups for the courses which require you to program stuff). So this means a lot of people with CS degrees cannot program. The advice is learn to program on your own time.
