Nope, no rollying eyes nor such comments. But, if that ever happens, i'd say: women complain nowadays there are no gentlemen left and chivalry is dead....you only reinforce this narative. Even if some 'independent' woman will say that or scoff at me, that wont stop me.
Just smile and say thank you. I do the same thing and i dont expect anything in return except "thank you". What's shocking is when i open a door or let a woman exit/enter the elevator and she looks at me puzzled. That nvr gets old 🤣🤣🤣
