I've been here since around late 2013, a lot has changed since then. This place used to be way less political, more focused on strategy and building the ethos. Now that most of that has been hashed out there really isn't much else to add. As you learn and internalize you need less and less guidance. The ones who know the most end up leaving because they have lives outside of the internet, leaving the majority to the rage phasers. I got what I needed from it, that's all I can really ask for.

The best posts this sub will see have already been made. I look at this place like an archive rather than an active discussion.

Karma doesn't exist. What does exist is a very social sentient creature that tons of people unknowingly neglect. Not trying to be a douche, but if you don't have time for a dog, don't get one.

Even besides making money, creatively expressing yourself is good for your psyche. I don't know how many times spending an hour noodling has stopped me from letting old negative thoughts back in my head.

There's always going to be someone taller, wittier, and stronger than you. I'm 5'6, so I know this feeling well. You can't allow this fact to discourage you, because you cant change it. Maintaining confidence is one of the only things that separates you from your competition. Fake it till you make it only works for so long, eventually the bubble pops. As long as you are actually improving yourself, confidence can be derived from some place in reality, which makes it concrete. So keep working on …

Your saying land snails don't encapsulate the idea of post Modern anarcho-socialism and the proletariat struggle? Get out of your cave, man.

If a law like this we're to pass in America I wouldn't hesitate to join an organization devoted to fighting it.

Wow you're really going at this strawman you've created. I do lift, I am in the top fraternity on my campus, I've been playing guitar for 8 years, I swing dance, and I am in one of the most profitable majors available today (CS). I also love CounterStrike. The rush I get from clutching a 1v3 is more than enough to make it one of my hobbies. Stop projecting your insecurities onto others.

It honestly depends on the game. Playing flappy bird is not the same as playing counterstrike or dota. After a few hours of competitive cs I am mentally drained. My brain feels the same way my body does after lifting. I think the real thing to consider is the inclusion of competition. Engaging in mental competition is one of the best things you can do for mental plasticity, which will help in all areas of life.

Sounds like a typical abusive relationship. Make her think she can't do anything without you and point to her unrelated failures as evidence.

the minute the Flanagans and college presidents and parents of the world can convince women not to show up at frat parties is the minute we’ll see the end of frats. Yeah maybe the shit ones.

Exactly, while reacting with gayness might be a better plan I doubt I'd have the self control to not punch him in the face.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
