"I want a nice guy" (NG gets 3 messages a month). Meanwhile, shirtless pic while flexing bicep with no profile filled out (gets 30 messages a day). Well, if a dude put "I want a nice guy" on his profile it's safe to assume that he's not looking for women.

Bill Cosby's raped like 30 women and he's doing fine. You realize that the whole "known rapists not getting convicted" is part of what those silly feminists call rape culture right?

a movement based on achievement of personal, individual goals doesn't need a standard bearer. Wait a second, so you're telling me that I can't take cherry-picked examples and then use them to create ridiculous generalizations about a group I dislike?

nice adjective: pleasant; agreeable; satisfactory. Nice guy is a misnomer: you want someone agreeable TRP wins again!

First of all, pretty much all TRPers who care about the whole nice guy thing say "When I was growing up I was taught that being nice to women was how you got a girlfriend!". Which means that those lessons were taught to you buy your parents, relatives, youth group pastor, teachers, and other authority figures for little kids. Of course they're going to say "be nice to each other". That's hardly a dating strategy, that's just raising your kids to not be little shits. I've heard very few women exp…

Since I'm not transgender, I don't see how anybody could be transgender That's a good point. Fortunately though, most children eventually learn this thing called "empathy" which is the ability that to understand that people feel things differently than you do.

I think "judge people based on their merits" is pretty practical advice. It's also more accurate than "judge people based on their genitals".

The harshness is designed to shake the Women are Wonderful effect, and is thus much more accurate than sugar coating the same reality. The null hypothesis is that you should judge individual women based on their own merits and that's more accurate than both WaW and AWALT. Your "theory" is literally less accurate than the statistically default position. That's a pretty shit concept.

They're tits, who cares? Men can have tits too. Men can lactate from their nipples too. Men can jiggle them around, slap them on your face, wear a bra, and it's no problem. But the second a feeeemale pulls out a pair of these knockers it's too much to handle and she should be thrown in jail! Sounds reasonable

Sometimes when a man and a women are madly in love, the women starts getting complacent in the relationship and stops putting in effort. Now if a new women or a bunch of women starts showing interest in her man, she will start to mate guard and put more effort in the relationship. Nope, not doing it for me. Stuff like "mate guard" sounds weird when you're talking about humans. Take Leonardo decaprio for example, an average looking guy LOL

Women all talk about the same concepts that TRP does, just with less direct language because women love ambiguity. TRP's language is definitely direct, but you focus so much on the harshness that you lose some accuracy.

Yeah easily. Work out and you'll become more attractive! Confidence is sexy! SMV - Date people in your league Cock Carousel - Women sometimes have sex with people other than you. AF/BB - People like to explore their sexuality when they're young, especially with exciting people. Then when they get older and want to start raising a family they look for more stable partners. If homeopathy was ineffective, it would have died a long time ago If psychics were ineffective, it would have died a long time ago If gambling was an ineffective way to get money, people would have stopped doing it a long time ago Great point! If you do want to be like all other women, then I have to concede that OP made an incorrect assumption there. You'll also have to concede that you made an inaccurate statement because you said "OP isn't saying how you feel, not at all". Accurate or not, he did say how the reader feels. But owning up to your own mistakes isn't a male attribute so I don't expect you to.

You can't really blame TRP for being immoral when the main reason such ideas came about in the first place was because women tend to not communicate in an honest and straight-forward manner. Wtf, in what world can anyone possibly justify the statement "you can't blame XXX for being immoral". I'll blame people for their immoral actions all I want.

Bottom line is, if TRP didn't work, it wouldn't still be here. It wouldn't still be growing. It would have died out due to its own incompetence and inefficiency. if feminism didn't work, it wouldn't still be here. if /r/TheBluePill didn't work, it wouldn't still be here. if the GOP didn't work, it wouldn't still be here. if the democratic party didn't work, it wouldn't still be here. women are like magicians. They depend on people not understanding how they do what they do and carrying an air of mystery. When the man behind the curtain is exposed, women lose. So when the blue pillers are hating, just understand that you receive the most flak when you're directly over the target. OP said that women have a secret that they are hiding from men that TRP is exposing. OP also said that people hate TRP because they are revealing that information. Therefore, "people hate TRP because…

I'm a mere mortal, who can only interpret words on a screen. You however, possess the ability to determine the emotional state of whoever writes something on the internet! Hey, I found a TRPer who agrees with you about accepting women with no issues! The only way a man should ever interact with a woman is through praise and admiration. A man should never risk damaging a woman's self esteem. How can she be a strong independent woman, if mean men are teasing her? A woman should never be disparaged even jokingly. Men need to accept women for who they are without judgement.

the anger phase is when you first swallow the bitter truth, you can't really be RP then Lol "all those guys who post on /r/theredpill and claim to be red pill and talk about how much they love the red pill aren't really red pill". Most of the time I hear about "Chads" is just sounds like jealousy. Their defining characteristics is that he's tall, wears nice clothes, is confident, successful with women, etc. Very rarely do I hear "Ugh he doesn't tip and and cuts people off in traffic, what a Chad".
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/15 09:38 PM

They are the first to admit they are usually average guys, not the worst, not the best Awww, don't pretend to be so modest. We both know that TRP doesn't believe that. Gender roles are generally dictated by society. Some of them have biological historical reasons (eg men were soldiers because they're stronger) but many of them are completely arbitrary (eg pink is for girls, women can't be priests, men can't wear skirts, etc.) Your gender identity is your actual gender. If I'm a guy who likes baking and wearing aprons and playing with dolls, I'm still a guy. If I'm a woman who likes beer and mountain biking and video games, I'm still a woman.

Because TRP is trying to explain attraction through economics. You calculate your SMV by adding up your attractive qualities and then that gives you a number somewhere between 1-10. Then you can date people in that range. But in the real world that's a vast over-simplification of attraction and what makes people tick. There are just as many personal preferences as there are universally attractive features and we don't always pick the "best" option. The economic model also presumes that the buyer…

your argument amounts to "my side is correct because someone else says we are correct." Yes, you're right. My argument amounts to "the best research and science we have today says that being transgender is a legitimate condition. At the same time, there is no evidence to suggest that being transracial is a legitimate condition". If that's not good enough for you then you should definitely have a talk with someone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/15 04:58 PM

Because one is just looking at it through the lens of dating, hook-up culture, etc. And one is making a sweeping generalization about someone's character, which frames all interactions you'll have with them even if you're not fucking them. TRP loves to pretend that it's just "sexual strategy" but it clearly goes well past that.

Nope. Like I've said before in this sub, I have no problem with PUA. If you go to a place with the mindset to get laid, obviously you'll act differently and talk to women in such a way where sex is the thing that matters most. But there's a difference between "I'm just trying to get laid right now" to "all women are hypergamous sluts trying to divorce-rape me because they're incapable of love or maturity".
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/15 04:48 PM

When you go to an interview, you assume that your potential employer wants you to be professional and use confident, polite language Of course you should change your demeanor based on the social situation. Do you really think BPers don't believe this? No wonder you guys act like BPers are idiots because you pretend like basic shit such as "women like attractive men" and "working out makes you look better" is advice exclusive to your subreddit.

Pretty much. This is one of my biggest criticism's of TRP's theory. TRP looks at everything through an economic context, discussing value, opportunity cost, the market equilibrium, etc. (using their own terms of course). When you're looking at economics you're assuming that you're looking at a market that's filled with self-interested, informed parties that are not pressured to make any decision that is less than optimal. But in the real world you can't always apply rational thought to who you'r…

This is a weirdly specific scenario.... If he has success with all kinds of women besides blondes then he's treating blondes differently. The color of your hair doesn't change your personality. Like half of blondes aren't even natural anyways.

You gave us no information about this hypothetical guy besides "he's brown". Which means that the only accurate advice I can give is super generalized, like work out, dress better, be confident, etc. I don't think my dating advice would change at all based on his race or the race he's going after. I'd change my advice if he's going after a certain culture or nationality but I'd talk to a Latina at Starbucks the same way I'd talk to an asian chick.

Ok.... Remember how GG got upset when all those articles came out saying "gamers are sexist"? Yeah, they got so upset that those articles kept getting written. You know how people would probably get upset if you said "all gay men have AIDs"? Yeah, they got so upset that there's still homophobes out there. I'm not seeing your point. Maybe you should make it yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 09:30 PM

Saying "no women can do any wrong!" is just as retarded as saying "all women are like that!". Most of us don't go through these huge red/blue pill swings in life. Since I was a kid I realized that girls can be good or shitty just like boys are, and that I should judge everybody on their individual merits rather than their immutable characteristics.

Fine, let's play Mad Libs. I think that (group on the internet that you dislike) is bad because they're (negative adjective). They don't even like (thing you like)! That's why I'm part of the (color) pill, because it gets me lots of (plural noun). Fill in whatever words you like.

I mean, AWALT is like the most sexist thing you could possibly say. I'm not even shaming or anything, that's pretty much the definition of sexist. Just because you're offended doesn't change the reality of the word. How is "AWALT" any different than "teach men not to rape"? "Teach men not to rape" operates under the premise that all men are potential rapists. If you're trying to prove that TRP uses the same illogical language that feminism does then go ahead.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 08:16 PM

a man in our society can say "I don't feel like being a man, I identify more with women. Id now like to be referred to as a she." Should a white person in our society say "I've always identified more with blackness, I would now like you all to refer to me as an African American"? Those are two very different examples, and neither of them have to do with culture.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 08:13 PM

Do you ever wonder why TRP exists? Why men flock to it and why the number of subscribers climbs so quickly? It's because it works and there is a need for it. You could say that about literally every group ever.

Remember how GG got upset when all those articles came out saying "gamers are sexist"? You know how people got upset at Trump for saying that Mexican immigrants are rapists and gang members? You know how people would probably get upset if you said "all gay men have AIDs"? If you make a sweeping negative generalization about a large group of people you can't act that shocked when someone says "hey that's not right". I think that's really what's at the root core of why so many here have a problem …
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 08:07 PM

Because it's one of the most blatantly wrong concepts of TRP. I like the idea of SMV. I dislike how TRPers treat it as a law rather than a concept, but I don't really have any objections to it. Hypergamy is just saying "people want to date attractive people". But AWALT is used to make negative generalizations about an entire gender. It's probably the most sexist thing that TRP officially preaches. Of course people are going to call it out.

I have been thinking about the “Mcdonaldization” of feminism; that is, the relationship of the fast food economy to the women’s movement. hahaha wtf, this is hilarious. It's actually a decent read about the way our meals have changed since WW2 and how we're trading convenience for health. But I have no idea what this has to do with feminism. Weird, it's almost like viewing everything in black and white terms leads to inaccurate assessments! Maybe you shouldn't label everything and acknowledge that real life is more nuanced than "EVERYONE IN THIS GROUP BEHAVES THIS WAY".

Yeah, a lot of guys (including Nice GuysTM ) act like the reason assholes get laid is because they're assholes. Of course that's not true, the reason they get laid is because they try and they're not concerned at all about other people's feelings. They're willing to make other people uncomfortable or look like a fuckboi as long as they get laid. And if your life revolves around your penis that's a pretty effective way of doing it. But that's not the only way to do it. You can totally be a nice, …

I've heard some TRPers actually use that to "prove" that women should be more conscious of their surroundings and that if they get raped they should've seen it coming, since that's the nature of men. It's nice that they're sometimes willing to be disgusting towards both genders.

You could live your entire life a virgin until you're married and go to church 7 days a week, because that is morally superior to the way you do things currently Ah, the good old "Nobody can get laid without TRP!" bit. It almost sounds like a cult when you frame it like that.

No, my counterexample was the comment that I linked which contradicted your "the media never criticizes women" argument. Keep up. The analogy was my race bit. That was to illustrate that there's a lot of groups which get preferential treatment from the judicial system. So why don't you go after white people for getting it so easy? You're upset about women getting good treatment in court because of the feeeemale aspect of it, not because you're outraged by injustices in the judicial system. you'r…

we're saying you need to interpret them correctly. When you don't, you are misrepresenting the argument and wasting everybody's time, including your own, by responding Even if what you're saying is true (it isn't), that still isn't a strawman. Name one thing that I've strawmanned. Maybe your debate team can help you.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/15 08:10 PM

Stealing change from your friends is an objectively effective way to get some cash. If your worldview and community revolves around getting cash and you're willing to adopt an amoral strategy, that's a valid way to do it. But that doesn't make you exempt from criticism.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/15 07:56 PM

If I sounded so ridiculous, you wouldn't have any issues dismantling my arguments. That's exactly what I did. I provided a counterexample, i gave a personal anecdote, and I used an analogy. If you don't think that those are valid methods of debate then like 90% of TRP is bullshit lol

Uh, strawman is when you create a new argument for the other side that they don't believe. Like, it would be a strawman if I said "I dislike TRP because I think rape is wrong". I'm interpreting things that they're actually saying and you and OP are telling me that I shouldn't do that. This would be like if you criticized feminism and I said "well you just have to ignore all the bad things and just believe that feminism is for equal rights! Makes sense from a practical/selfish point of view. If the other person loves you more than you have more power in the relationship. There also isn't really a blue pill counterpoint or alternate set of ideas. You get the general opposite anecdotes "I don't do any of that crap, and I get laid all the time. So do all of my friends." But you don't see any specific counterpoints. Because depending on who you ask, BP could either just mean /r/thebluepill or literally everything in the world that isn't TRP. Also, your car might have a bomb attached to it this morning, your oatmeal might be laced with cyanide, and your job might be an elaborate scam by some Russian to steal your identity. not willing, just capable. What's the difference? When a woman acts like a woman and fulfills such an expectation, we simply nod and say AWALT. And when a woman doesn't act like a woman you say AWALT. And when a man "acts like a woman" you say "I'm not gay!"

I think one of the major differences people are making between this and general "cyber-bulling" and that the two people personally knew each other in this case. I dislike Christianity/Islam as the religious metaphor for TRP. Why don't you tell that to the person who brought up that metaphor? There are many religions that I'd compare TRP to but Buddhism is definitely not one of them lol. I've literally never seen a TRPer I'd describe as metta. Red Pill isn't a religion with dogma and rules. But you shouldn't think of it as a religion. Think of it as the Democratic Party. Your analogy, not mine. But a bunch of blokes working out the right answer along the way keeping what works, throwing out what doesn't there is a lot of disagreement and discussion. But that's not the way TRP works.
