This is really sad and infuriating. She violated his trust and his body, but even if he successfully wins a case against her, which is unlikely, he still has to literally pay for the consequences of the violation. I feel for him and the child, whether it's his or not. They're both going to be in an awful situation for a while... all because she played this horrendous game*.

Seconding this. My best friend and I have known each other 27 years and we've had many political disagreements and hard discussions about feminsim, environmentalism, mental health, etc. She and I may not always be on the same page, but we learn, and we respect each other's opinions and let each other speak. After that we're still very close and we laugh about everything else in life. THAT'S a friend.

If enough women/people are on such medications to skew a study like this, it makes sense not to filter them out. I disagree. If you're comparing baselines of libido between men and women, then it makes sense to filter them. ... willfully ignoring reality to tell yourself the story you want to hear. Honestly I agree with another commenter who pointed out that this study apparently didn't control for things like birth control, SSRIs (antidepressants/antianxiety meds), or thyroid disorders, all of which can contribute to massive drops in libido for women and men. Women on average are more likely to be on such medication, however, and have such disorders, so I don't think it's unreasonable to think that could affect the stats. And it's not the man's fault. Something happened to him (presumably as an infant/child) that he had no say or control over. And it's hard to talk about it because the man can't really do anything -- beyond restoration -- to make up for what he doesn't realize isn't there. I don't think a circumsized man owes anyone an apology and he can still be an amazing lover. I know because I have one. But, this is not something that should ever befall any of them. Circumcision needs to end.

I mean, they're some of the top makeup artists because they're just that talented with their art and public relations. It has nothing to do exclusively with the fact that they're men. This is some next level insecurity. Apparently to people like this it's OK for men to enjoy makeup but not if it means they'll have any chance or potential to be a little more successful and talented than women. Double standard.

Fair enough! And I agree that it shouldn't be a zero-sum game. For example, we shouldn't be shutting down womens shelters (no one that I'm aware of has said this -- this is JUST an example) just because there are only five or six shelters in the U.S for men. Instead we should just be advocating more mens shelters because they are needed and have value! The only big problem with that is convincing our communities and councils that they have just as much value as womens shelthers.

I'm not sure if "taking away" from one group can be avoided entirely. One of the biggest issues that I see are double standards between the sexes. They exist for both women and men, but for men specifically this is overwhelmingly evident in domestic violence, genital mutilation, custody battles, and divorces, and even arguably in things like the draft, insurance, jail time, mental health awareness, etc. Any time you "level the playing field", so to speak, the other group will inevitably present …
