Little bit mean. Whole lotta accurate. If you see someone, dont be afraid to talk to them. Don't focus your entire trip to Egypt on trying to pick girls up in the lobby of your hotel. Also that wifi line is pretty weak

Hey man, I'm sorry to hear you're in a rough spot. I had a nasty time a couple years ago and ended up drinking away my sorrows. Still working off the beer fat now, but getting there. Bottom line is that you're not damaged. Hurt maybe, but hurt heals if you let it. If someone is putting you down they arent someone you need in your life. Don't give their opinion power over you. I don't claim to know the answers or even to know all that much about it but if you want someone to talk to who made thei…

I'm not really the best guy to explain it, there are a hell of a lot of resources in this sub. What I usually did was build a little bit of a rapport, tried to find some common ground, expand on it, and then just say something about how I have work/class/prior engagement in fifteen minutes but ask if they would be down to keep talking over a cup of coffee or a beer depending on what it seems like is best. I'm also really awkward over text so I drop the ball... Often. Probably most of the time.

Yea but that's kind of the issue there. If you can't make time for a date or two during the week then asking people out doesn't work so well. Just relax and take it as it comes, you'll find times that work and people that want to spend them with you. A couple of missed matches is no big deal, when I first tried to tinder I screwed up every match I got within an hour. Just have faith in yourself and keep at it

Yea this is pretty much it. You're in high school, it sounds like she's at least somewhat interested, just go for it. If a friend is mad cause they were trying to sleep with her and you're not glossing over the parts that make it seem less one sided just don't worry about it. I can count the number of people I was in touch with from high school more than a couple years out on my left thumb so don't worry about him

Since there hasn't been anyone else posting my only idea is that you're scheduling too far out? I'm by no means an expert at this but when I was playing the tinder game I had the highest success with the following - Go through a whole bunch of people at once, message any matches Ignore the app for a day or two and see if I get any matches If someone matches while you're not on the app then they're bored enough to be on tinder right then so it's a good time to start talking Go through whatever co…

Based on the zero information here I'm going to say that there are more important things than height or bust if you're planning on dating someone

Hey man I know it can be rough sometimes. I'm been in a similar state of mind for a while now. Keep on keeping on is all I can really say. I stopped all the online stuff a while back and I'm glad that I did. It was all artificial and even when I did get some success out of it I didn't really have any fun with it since it all felt so... Forced. Idk. Just today though I met a wonderful girl that I'm getting a drink with tomorrow after work. Sometimes things don't happen until you least expect it. …

Hey man. I know it's hard. Don't let it get to you. Start small. Instead of just jumping in to a full conversation with intent to close try just making small talk with some strangers (of both sexes) with no intention of letting it get further than that. Once you're not as nervous about the prospect of starting a conversation with someone it will be a lot easier to approach someone without worrying so much about the outcome. A wingman can also help with this a whole lot as it's always easier to t…

You seem like a solid guy u/dickwheel. Thanks haha I should have been more explicit as far as not abandoning your life cause you're tired of it. More what I'm saying is that in any given day you only have X amount of time that isn't already dedicated to maintaining your life. Use that X amount of time for something that interests you instead of just doing whatever led you to this point. And I will stand by the looking for a new job if yours is boring. I'm of course not advising that you quit bef…

Not sure if you've got the right sub for this but here goes. You're in a rut. Try something new. Do you always run one way? Run a different one. Favorite lunch? Not anymore. In a boring relationship? Can it. If you're bored of what you're doing try something else. Learn to play the bassoon. How to cross stich beloved childhood characters like Aladdin and Robert DeNiro. Make a new friend. Find new music. Just. All of the things that you do outside of like... Work, school, fitness. All of those. I…

Not sure how much this is a factor but we tend to do things that produce the strongest offspring so we make choices (even if we don't realize it) in partners that would produce the best possible next generation. Hybridization often results in a stronger individual than either parent and there's very little chance of passing on any detrimental recessive traits with people of vastly different ethnic backgrounds (like the opposite of inbreeding). Sorry to go technical since it's not really the poin…

Just smile. They're looking at you not sticking their hand down your pants. Take it as a compliment that they find you attractive. Also I can't stress this enough- be decent to women that you don't find attractive (and really just everyone). You never know when you're going to see someone again and being kind to everyone has this odd effect where people know that you're a nice person and want to get to know you.

A whole lot of what was said here is perfect. Don't expect anything. Go be yourself and aim to have fun. If she has fun with you then maybe talk about a second date and see where things go. If one or both of you get bored then odds are it's not worth the effort.

Could have been a mistake. I was given a number that didn't work once. I bumped into the girl a couple weeks later and she bugged me about why I hadn't called/texted so I told her the number was bad and to her great embarrassment she had drunkenly entered it into my phone wrong. Or she's just not that into it. It could really be a million different things. She may have had reasons to not give her number to people or maybe wasn't looking for anything. Regardless- good job on approaching! That can…

Honestly man this one may not be worth the effort. I'm not sure how long you'd have to drive to get to her city but a long distance relationship, especially one where you've only met briefly, can be a lot of work and stress if there isn't a lot of trust. If you already know she was doing these things with you while she had a boyfriend is this a person that you can really trust? I think you should just take the experience as a good one, learn from your experiences, and move on; there are plenty o…
