I've lived here in the US my entire life (to be fair that hasn't been that long (18 years) but I can tell you for sure), there is no way any US policy makers care. I'm actually kind of surprised any civilian there cares, we hardly ever hear of your policies, thats how fucked this country is. We have so much shit to sort out not alot of people here even have the time to learn about the problems anywhere else. Anyway I got off track, your absolute right a sex strike wouldn't do a damn thing. Not e…

Oh god that's a good point, already (I'm only 18) women are afraid of me when I walk behind them on my way home and with this uptick in rape accusations that's gonna get so mich worse. I hate not being trusted just because I'm a guy and hearing from so many women how much they "hate men" followed by "but you're a good one". Could you imagine if I said that to them??

Thank you so much for coming here with such warm intentions, it gives me hope that there are people smart enough to question what's going on around them. Now to be fair I'm not the best at arguing this kind of stuff so I'll step aside for some other members to explain their position in such issues. But I just wanted to say welcome to the sub and ty for having such an open mind.

I know this isnt what this post is about but what video games are they talking about specifically? It seems like most games will have a good range of women's body types.

Honestly people will at least right now mock and call such a movement "ridiculous" or "nothing", kinda like the idea of a straight pride month. Just not something that would be adopted anywhere other than these niche groups.

Those are very fascinating questions and ideas!

I like to think of it as equality when it's convenient.

I've only ever heard that toxic masculinity is a social and systemic thing, however I have also only basically heard that it's men who pressure other men to act in a hyper-masculine fashion.

I mean yeah some of these are a little cringe but for the most part I don't honestly disagree with alot of these things, of course I'm a huge advocate for mens rights in today's society but I saw a post about how men are less likely to be afraid walking down a dark street at night compared to a woman and I'm sure that's true! (And they made sure to specifically mention how men are more likely to get shot and of course they might be afraid but the fact is true that women do technically in that mo…

Agreed, and this question is gonna sound like I'm disagreeing with you when infact I'm not! But what rights would you say are being taken away exactly? I only ask because I personally could use some good examples for myself.

Very good points, thank you. I'm actually kinda embarrassed I didn't think of that at the time but I was debating a person who clearly rehearsed this before and it threw me off guard.

I'm happy and also very sad to hear that there are other people who know what that feels like. Its very hard to express that feeling without it sounding like something petty but it's a real problem that I feel goes unaddressed often.

That's a pretty good list, in the moment of an argument it's hard to think of specific examples if Injustices. This will be handy ty.

Oh wow, this is all fantastic info. I didn't realize that there even was any action I could have taken. I still worry that to those I that I report to this will just seems like a joke, you know how people are when a men's right issue is brought up. Litterally nobody cares except for like men crying.

I'm really glad you told be this! But I just graduated like 2 days ago 😄. Plus they were still teaching me just the same, it's more of a self esteem situation. And I only posted that because I feel like most people can relate. If that's the case then we can actually call this problem systematic, at which point reporting such things might be a waste of time.

Honestly tho this is not an uncommon thing, it's hard to find a school that doesn't push feminism.

I'm still in school and I've had some serious issues with my self worth that I suspect come from constantly hearing from teachers and other staff members that girls are incredible and can do anything and all that stuff. that's all well and good, but not once ever have I been told or have I been in a group of guys being told that we are also strong, and that we too can do great things. Instead I just hear about how horrible men have been to women in the past and how privileged we are now and it's…

After all of the posts I've been seeing on this sub I don't know if anything has riled me up this much, I'm seriously terrified of what the future of feminism holds. I just hope to god the rest of the world doesn't turn into Australia.

Oh yeah that too, this system is fucked up Im not denying it. But I'm just pointing it out that's there are important elements that should be preserved, just not all of it.

well if someone donates sperm they dont do it in hopes they will have a child to take care of. And they do know what they are signing up for when they donate. But if that's not the case and it was just some one night stand and they never told him I agree 110% he has every right to be a parent. my main reason for that first reply was to understand what you were saying, it was very broad and almost made it seem like you meant no matter the circumstance if it's his child he has every right no matte…

Obviously tho it depends on the situation, we wouldn't want a sperm donor to just show up after like 8 years randomly at a family's doorstep claiming parental rights out of nowhere. Both parents should be subjected to the same rules. Same if it's a surrogate mother.

Why tho?? What's the motivation and how do they not see the hypocrisy???

I'm only 18 but I've always been single and I love it! When you're single and have no kids you are living your life for yourself. Basically everything you do is for you.

Horrible! I can't believe how insane this is. Aren't 60+% of college graduates women? And one of their arguments are "they are less educated". God maybe look at the specific person. Why treat an uneducated man as the same as an educated man, don't classify genders based on how the average is educated, and if you are going to do that do it right!!

This sounds more like she is calling attention to the fact that this has become the reality of the situation. Not that she actually believes that, right? (That's just the feeling I got from it)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
