They asked if they could talk to me, and I said sure and was going to go outside. As I stepped outside, they opened the door and came inside to immediately start searching despite my saying there was nothing going on and a neighbor was probably hallucinating or was guiding them to the wrong apartment. I guess maybe me saying they could talk to me meant they could search and walk in, I have no idea. I was actually extremely concerned because I thought someone else could be in danger. Good informa…

Yeah that's what I meant, especially if it is construed as intimidation.

Wow, so many responses to this and I apologize for not replying sooner. A lot of you are mentioning that I should call my local media outlet, and yes I am considering it. Less to seek legal action against the police officers, and more to bring attention to this issue where men can be arrested just because women are automatically the "weaker sex" in DV investigations. I have known this to happen before, and know for a fact that women can flat out lie for a man to be thrown in handcuffs. There is …

There was probable cause because they felt I was being assaulted. Or so I believe.

I didn't leave anything out. They felt there was a threat and forced their way in.

I am right there with you. As much as I appreciate first and second wave feminism, this third wave is absolutely ridiculous. It seems like people spend more time trying to be offended about things in day to day life, than trying to help out the women who are actually oppressed in other countries. Genital mutilation, one child laws and the resulting abortions, honor killings... that's real oppression. Getting offended by a man telling you to have a nice day and accusing him of rape for it is abso…

Its not about being forced, but about common decency. If someone gives up their career they deserve to live decently until they become stable. One year at most IMO.

We talked about it and made a mutual decision. It wasn't taken lightly and he cares enough about me to provide for me temporarily. For the first half of our relationship I paid his bills until he found a job he loved, and regardless, we will always care about each other. 6 months of income is better than multiple years of alimony and I consider it fair. Women are absolutely not helpless, but its nice to be able to choose your job when you BOTH have children to raise. If the roles were reversed, …

If the relationship ended, I wouldn't feel obligated to give him sex at all. In the same breath, he could date anyone he wanted to.

To be fair, I am a stay at home mom who takes care of everything so my husband doesn't have to. If anything happened I would expect 6 months of money until I got a job since I gave up my career to take care of him and everyone else. If a woman has an active career then yeah she shouldn't get special privileges, but if she gave everything up to take care of family, she at least needs a safety net until she finds a job. I would expect it since my husband wants to come home to a wife that makes din…

I fucked my husband soon after I met him and have never cheated on him in 8+ years. That said, I dated a guy once who cried about the fact that all of his girlfriends cheated on him, but he cheated on me with my best friend and I caught him red handed. Some people are dicks; all there is.

How does the same rule apply to men?

Not having sex with your husband or wife is really screwed up, but you cannot make a law condoning rape in any way. If a woman/man says no, it means no. That said, you are not obligated to stay married forever, and if your needs aren't met, leave. You can never force someone to have sex with another, but you can refuse to stay in the relationship.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
