4	Is 'women and children' first a real rule? As I understood it, children and women went first because they were protected. I mean, through the ages, traditionally it was your position to protect your family and your mate, right? That's why we had all these laws protecting and restricting women, and children are often viewed as property of their parents. So, I think the 'rule' just started as an extension of that view. Most certainly, plenty of innocent people have been executed for crimes they didn't commit. If we execute an innocent person for a crime they didn't commit, isn't that murder? As it stands right now, capital punishment can only be applied to murder within the US. If we are murderers, for executing an innocent, do we not also deserve to be executed?
